Didn't like it. Didn't get how he could control Shepard or Anderson, that ability didn't necessarily flow from the Horizon research. Shepard isn't a husk. Nor did I know why I couldn't pick the paragon or renegade persuasion options.
This. If I bend and stretch things a little I could maybe justify him being able to conreol Shepard by headcanoning Shep's cyberneics cybernetics as being Cerbeurs' early experiments with Reaper tech (and the Reapers just never took advantage of that fact until now. Riiiiight)
But Anderson? He clearly wasn't indoctrinated, as he could still speak out and defy TIM and the Reapers. He wasn't being mind controlled, he was just being held in place by...something.
THough I can say that to get the paragon or renegade options with TIM at this pont, you have to have taken the options every time you spoke with TIM prior. On Mars, Thessia, and the Cerberus Base.

As it was predictable ... it seemed repetition similar to Saren...didnt feel like anything more like annoyance
I didn't talk Saren out of anything. I had not one but two epic boss battles to put him down. That's what you get for playing Paragon

I didn't much care for it. He came out of nowhere. It felt so out of place and contrived. That's small potatoes compared to the rest of the problems, I suppose, but this is the moment where the game starts to go into la la land.
Where was he? Was he upstairs smoking a cigarette with Star Child?

Other than that I think it was well done. I wouldn't have minded him being a boss fight though. I hated him way more than I hated Saren so it would have felt good to aim and shoot him.

Apparently they were going to do a Saren-like boss battle with the Illusive Man but scrapped it in favor of the ending dialogue scene. Good choice by the design team.
