what you people needed for your squads were engineers and adepts, they can take out armor and barrier pretty fast.

I second this.  We had two engineers, an adept, and a soldier. Worked out very well.

I know that it helps greatly with cooldown, but I guess I'm just the paranoid type and afraid to run out of ammo (silly, I know). Hahah! Even with my Asari, I'd carry a pistol but also a very light SMG. I'll have to get over it and try carrying only one weapon some day, since it obviously can be done!

I don't know about everyone else, but I have like 60 ammo clips from various packs I've unlocked.I don't worry about running out of ammo, but I do also ammo up every time I have a convenient opportunity, not just between waves. My Asari adept + carnifex is my favorite character to play.

jokes aside, i'm sure we'll hear something soon, its about 11:00 there I believe so it's still somewhat early for them to tell us the killcount. I'm fairly certain we've hit over 1 million though, with the amount of people playing world wide on both pc and xbox

Yup! I've accummulated quite a bit of ammo packs and I've recently started using them (usually when I'm pinned down in an area, without a convenient ammo bin nearby). Based on my many hours of multiplayer, I know that I rarely change weapons and rarely run out. I just need to take that plunge into being a one-weapon kinda player (cheesy play on one of one Garrus' romance dialog).

A better use of Ammo packs is to use them as a grenade spam device when you don't feel like blowing a missile... 

Throw all grenades-ammo pack - throw all grenades-ammo pack etc

I checked the thread on friday, and after 5pst I finished a silver/reaper run a few times.
I checked back this morning at work, and saw the post was updated that we had to have data tracking enabled  in order for it to count. 

That was in the post last friday before the event started.

I noticed it when I read it the first time which was shortly after the thread was posted.

Had an awesome silver run last night. I took down a Banshee while she was killing one of my teammates and it saved him! This was on wave 11 and we we're able to get full extraction! We had a great team and it made a huge difference!

If you read the original post explaining the rewards, you'd see that you only get one random N7 weapon, you were right to assume you wouldn't get them all.

One from the commendation pack. The contents of the victory pack was never specified. It won't be all of them though, that'd be a little bit silly.

Kills were counted from bronze challenges too. Dunno about "Mission failed" runs though.

I know they were counted, but most of players probably didn't play reapers as they are harder. And even when they do, there aren't that many brutes in a whole match. in gold challenge, brutes are coming from the 2nd wave. i don't know the actual number, but it feels like there is at least 20 brutes in the gold challenge.

Due to a broken foot I was able to play -all- weekend. I played for more hours than I care to admit to (My poor single player game and swtor..) I played nothing but reapers and about 2/3s of the time was playing quick matches. There were a TON of people playing Reaper only

This one is killed a few brutes with it's random teammates on bronze level to support the community goal. It hasn't tried the silver level for the commendation pack; as it is still just a beginner.
