It's the PS3 being a piece of **** that's causing it...

In the interest of not degrading the thread into a console war... I'm going to glide over the inflammatory comment, and proceed right to the part where some of us didn't have much of a choice in which platform to choose.  I would have much rather bought the game for PC, because of modding potential, better controls, better graphics, etc... however all my friends bought it for ps3, so if I wanted to play with them, thats what I had to get it for, and now I can't help but feel a little shafted by being excluded from the bf3 soldier and now this weekend. 

If this applied to ps3, I could almost guarantee we'd have 4 tv's set up at one of our houses this very night, slaughtering brutes a plenty.

Not just that, it's the recruit packs for the Facebook App too.  So it's three so far.  And I JUST took down 6-8 brutes on Silver in the PS3 in hopes for this.  So mad.  
I feel your pain, my brother and I own PS3s and I'm the only one with the xbox.  My friends all abandoned their xboxs, so I bought the game for both systems, but have no one smart to play with on the 360 except for a bunch of 12 year olds.

Sony is not to blame for that.

THIS. I went to share the event with my teammates on Facebook, only to find the fineprint afterwards that excluded PS3 players. Obviously, this is a great disappointment to everyone who paid their hard earned money for the PS3 version and there is no reason that, if Activision/Infinity Ward can track player data serverside, that Bioware can't do it as well.

Please, for everyone who supported you on the PS3, get this sorted for future events!

would love to know how those of us who've had the relock issue are suppose to complete a silver game or what guarantees we aren't just wasting our time to lose more stuff?

Even though I'm a 360 player, I support the PS3 community on equal treatment. Unless of course its the Obsidian Suit and Elite Suit like Dead Space. In which case I support silly little things, but Community wide challenges should be available to all players.

I don't care if its Sony, EA, Bioware, or the Martian Bear's fault, fix the damn problem so we can avoid it the next time you do something.

Where have they stated categorically the reason PS3 users are not getting the same content and experience as players on other platforms is because of Sony?  I would very much like to read that.  All I see from BioWare is a variety of 'We're aware of the problem and are looking into it' statements.  

If it really is Sony at fault BioWare should certainly make everyone very aware of this because it is their reputation on the line here.

first and foremost nothing you are paying money for should hide behind implications. thats a terrible business practice that us the consumer should never support. we are entitled to all the information up front. the only reason these shady practices exist are because we are still catching up to the technology. certain bits of information shouldnt be withheld. region locking for example should be posted right on the case. people shouldnt take home a game that they arent even allowed to return to find out they cant play with their friends if they live in a different region. (thats just an example ME is guilty of this)

Regarding the PS3 exclusion, it's not a lot better than what we already told you but basically this is the statement:

Unfortunately we are unable to extend the N7 Challenge Weekend to the PlayStation 3. We continue to work with Sony to have them enable our ability to run these types of events on their platform.

After you get an N7 Weapon, is it possible to upgrade it?  I know with the others, it upgrades when you get the same weapon in a pack later.  If we can't do that with the N7 Weapons, how else can we upgrade them?

Silver is for the commendation packs. The Brute kills will still count on bronze.
