No they didn't
I'm sorry guys, the game is good but not awesome, there are so many weakness...
It's not an RPG anymore it's a TPS and I know for sure that when I play a Mass Effect game I want to play an RPG not a shooter, if I wanted a shooter I would have played, hum I don't know? Gears of War for example...
Let me tell you all the things I'm disapointed with:
- Less dialogues with nearly no choices and Shepard answering automaticaly
- Less squadmates with NO "deeper involvment", a lot of the time it's just autodialogue, even the "calibrations" were more interactive. Plus we don't get any loyalty missions, even in ME1 each of our squadmates gave us something to do.
- Only one hub, the citadelle, wich is just a small corridor. ME2's citadelle had disapointed me but this is worst! Oh and btw, why do they always change everything? Like the human ambassy?
- No appearance of a lot of secondary characters
- Cameo appearances of old ME2 squadmates: I'm really sad for those who romanced Jacob or Jack...
- The whole endmission is bullcrap: The suicide mission felt way more epic with you choosing what role your squadmates will be playing, etc... Oh and also no appearance of EMS, the rachni are the worst because it felt like such a huge decision and what did we get? Yay 100 EMS and that's all! just a number in a menu!
- Very few side missions and all of them consist of shooting. I don't mind having most of them being like that but ALL of them? Hell no! I remember this mission in ME1 where biotics had taken a politician hostage: that was awsome negociating his liberation and all!
So no the game is not Perfect it's actually far from it but I agree on one thing: without the ending fixed they can fix all the aformentioned (I think that's what you say in english...) problems it'll still be crappy because of the ending.
But oh well they wanted it to go mainstream just for the cash-grab I can't blame them but I guess I'm one of the few who prefered ME1 to ME2 because it was getting less and less an RPG and more and more an action game =(

Erhm...thanks for saying something. Truly appreciated. I'm still dying, here, though. Hurry up and play the game, Japan!
And trying to consider a favorite moment is like trying to determine which seashell is the prettiest, isn't it? Every time I consider one of them, thinking how spectacular it is, another one catches my eye. I'm going to miss that "Scientist Salarian", sigh. Loved the Shenko romance, too.
Hehe, I live in Japan and already finished the game xD But then again, it released the 8th on Origin, but 15th in the stores.
Anyways, looking forward to when they release the real ending (figured that much by now).

This image literally makes me depressed.
Impossible to place that image on a range of emotions, make me laugh - makes me cry and makes me pissed off.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.
We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.
In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment?
I’m glad to see your comments and want to very clearly state just how much I loved, not only ME3, but the whole series... ME3 is all but the perfect game... that’s why the ending feels so distressing...
I don’t hate Bioware or wish ill on anyone, and I suspect that even those who say they do at present are just dealing with the same emotions that I am in their own way. The message I want Bioware to see is that these endings are so far in opposition of the whole point of that game that it feels like a failure... that’s a tough thing to accept after hundreds of hours of emotional and invested gameplay...
I’m sure you’ve read the theories about the endings and, as a desperate fan I want them to be true... they may be, but they most likely are not... read them again... read the evidence provided... look at the straws being gathered by desperate fans... please... please... even if it was never your intention, don’t let it end this way... please...

Trust me Chris, people will not be able to stop playing the game once they get it...until the end. It only took me two days (of near constant playing) to finish the game, but I haven't really been able to even get halfway through my second playthrough after knowing the ending just makes everything so...pointless.
Your team has given us one of the best role-playing game series in gaming history. I hope you understand that the reason so many of us are upset is simply that in the last 5 minutes we feel like you made us switch from an RPG to just an action game where we simply watch the plot, not engage with it.
Now to answer your question of what my favorite moment was. It would EASILY be the moments deciding the fate of the Geth and Quarian peoples. Those moments of Legion uploading the code were so tense. I wanted to stand by Tali (my LI forever...and don't think you've heard the last of her face debate), but I didn't want to betray Legion and the Geth. Legion's death was the easiest to endure if only because it came right after a moment of great triumph, and it was given in such a noble and meaningful way.
I wish you and the rest of the Bioware team the best. It's good to know we won't be needing to have a charity drive to buy you all hearing aids and reading glasses anytime soon. Please be patient with the fans who aren't as understanding as most of us and know that we only rage because we love.

There are way too many great moments in the game to pick a favourite, but the customer on the Citadel (finally?!) getting his refund cracked me up. Don't know if it's been the same guy in all three games - I will pretend it was. All the "inside jokes" coming together was excellent.

I felt so sad when Thane died, I felt torn when Legion died and I teared up when my FemShep said 'No Shepard without Vakarian'
But I really, really wish you never included the Star Child.
I honestly would prefer not knowing why the Reapers are trying to kill us all.
I loved Sovereign's train of thought ("There is a realm of existence so far beyond your own. You cannot even imagine it. I am beyond your comprehension.").
And I loved Harbinger's too (“You are ignorant, we are knowing.”).
I'd take the both of their vague assertions any day over the Star-Child's bizarre convoluted logic.

Just finished ME3 last night, with best ending. It's not a BAD ending, but did not feel completely satisfying. I had no problem with a noble sacrafice - as cliche as that might have been - I was expecting that. But the ambiguity left me feeling unsatisfied. Debate, and discussion over what things at the end meant are awesome and all, and I'm totally for it. But for someone who's been with Mass Effect since the game was first announced in like 2005 (2004?), I feel at a loss without more closure.
Regardless, no one is likely to see this in the wash of enraged entitlement, but thank you. Truly, and with everything I am today for the journey along the way.

So yea. I also, actually, loved the outcome of the Jacob romance. It made me giggle on the inside.

1. An EPIC space battle. Not the one in current ME3. It only shows "OK, we've got turian/quarian/asari/brabrabra. They are here." I mean the reeeeeeaaalllllllll thrilling one. We need the tension, as provided in ME1.
2. The scale of battle on Earth is so limited in current ME3. Hey "TAKE THE EARTH BACK" is your slogan. Where is it. More scenes on Earth are required to deliver that.
3. Fighting with all of my friends. Simple GOODBYE conversations with them are NOT ENOUGH. I want fight with them. All of them at the same time. At least the same thing in ME2 suicide mission should be delivered so that I can feel they are with me in the same battle.
4. THE RACHNI. Where the heck are they? I saved the queen in ME1 and she is used by the reaper? I don't think a few Rachni workers would suffice. I want them fight with me in space or on Earth.
5. The ending should provide multitude of choices!!!!!!! I mean each ending should vary vastly. Not just color modification.
6. Conclusive and definitive epilogues for every character and space

Making peace between the Quarians and the Geth, that felt awesome.
Curing the Genophage.
Lasing that Reaper was pretty cool.
I loved Javik's flashback's, interesting and very sad at the same time.
Murdering annoying duct child *oops that was just in my head*
Whole of Kaidan's romance, just...perfect *squeeeee!*
EDIT - completely forgot Thane fighting Kai Leng, I can't describe how awesome that was, I was actually shouting "GO THANE!" at the screen.
And yeah, shooting bottles at the top of the Citadel with Garrus. He is so my FemShep's best friend in the world.
