We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.
In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment?
You all don't deserve to know what I liked. Not yet.

That is despite the fact that the deus ex machina approach just doesn't work for this series and the ending was bad in general.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! You ask people to hold off on the debate because you want more people to experience the end? Is this for Spoiler reasons? Because it seems you are asking this due to spoilers contained in such a discussion, but then ask people to give their favourite moments of the game? Which is asking for spoilers? I call Shenanigans on this.Chris Priestly wrote...

My favourite moment would be when I used the crucible to threaten the reapers to leave or be destroyed. and saved the galaxy, and was reunited with my Sheps LI, oh wait that didn't happen because the product I bought was falsely advertised.

But seriously... Who the hell thought that grabbing a random image off of the internet and photoshopping it was a worthwhile way to show Tali's face?! Some of the time you spent on that BS Day 1 DLC could have darn well been spent there!

Curing the genophage - righting a wrong based on racist/speciesist thinking
Liara time capsule
MShep/Kaidan romance - tasteful, honest, didn't feel like a retcon
Garrus on the Citadel - reminder of mortality and enjoying what you have
Earth invasion - kid(liked it then) and the reaper descent
Edi's embracing her individuality
Tali on Rannoch
Earth ending - loved the goodbyes/goodlucks and final speech about friendship
The ending felt mean. So much time building up relationships with characters to see them land on some nowhereland with Shep barely alive somewhere back in Sol, and no indication they'll ever see each other again.

I just have to say that curing the genophage is the best with Mordin going up that elevator knowing that he won't make it but determined to fix his mistake. The music, the scenery and Mordin singing's just perfect. I admit that i cried when watching that and i'm so happy that a character like Mordin went out with the best style possible
I had a blast playing ME3 until the endings and the game is full of awesome parts but no part is as awesome as Mordin going out in style

Mordin sacrificing himself and seeing the genophage cure spread around Tuchanka.
Ending a 300 year old war by yelling and then hearing the geth are helping the quarians improve their immune system.
Being inside the geth consensus, seeing their memories and realizing there were quarians who fought for them instead of against them.
Being inside a dark Ardat-Yakshi monastery and hearing those screams and wails...
"I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite spot on the Citadel!"
Garrus and Tali worrying about Liara after the fall of Thesia.
That talk with Anderson after taking out TIM.
Meeting everyone before the final Hammer assault.
I just wish we had an ending that didn't involve destroying galactic civilization as we know it. An ending that shows/tells us the consequences of our past choices (like geth/quarian) rather than giving us some vague symbolic cut scenes.
Preferably one where Shepard can live without me having to play multiplayer. You might want to work on balancing the War Assets system. Maybe make it a standard 70% readiness rather than 50%?

1. Thank you for posting and listening to all of us.
2. And most importantly, I LOVE all of the Mass Effect games. ME3 is one of the most phenomenal games I have ever played. It absolutely FLOORED me the attention to detail and prior Shepherd choices that you guys all took the time to resolve and mention. Dragon Age can really take a lesson from this team about importing decisions and making sure they matter and don't bug out.
Favorite moments? So so many to mention.
1. The banter between Shepherd and Wrex during (usually) combat scenes. "I'm fighting a REAPER Wrex!" "I know, you always get all the fun."
2. Conrad Verner. BEST resolution to anything in the game ever. I was literally rolling on the floor laughing so hard. And it cracked me up even more that I would have a thought in my head and then my Shepherd would actually say it "Oh for the love of..." and "Conrad...do you even HAVE a wife?" and "So help me Conrad there better not be a shrine of me somewhere..." Just most amazing scenes ever.
3. The Quarian and Geth standoff right after facing down a Reaper on foot. I swear I (as the player) was shaking profusely after that entire encounter.
4. Getting all my fish and my hamster back
5. Mordrin...all of it.
6. Major Kirrehe...all of it.
7. Drunk Tali
And so so many others.

There's another thread around here where I talk about the ending. But essentially, the emotional reaction it had on me was pretty profound. It was dramatic, sad, beautiful, unlike anything a game has ever evoked in me before. I can compare this reaction only to great books, music and movies. Now I can add video games to it, which is pretty amazing.
But despite all that, and despite my profound reaction (again, thank you for allowing me to experience that), I still leave myself wanting an ending that many of us do. I don't know if that means I feel like I SHOULD. But it's tough because, like many of us, I too want to see Shep continue on with his LI and his good bud Garrus. I was thinking my Shep might even go into politics, take a seat on the council! So I'm torn.

I literally got up, went downstairs to think and get a drink, then spilled the drink going back up the stairs because I was so distracted by that question and how I was going to respond. It took me over 10 minutes to respond.

The whole game was so completely awesome, right until the very end with the Magic Space Kid. Heck, I thought Shepard and Anderson's "Best seats in the house" scene should be nominated for an Oscar, it was that good. Then it all fell apart.
If you all are listening, I hope that the message you're hearing from your deepest fans is that we loved everything you did until the end...your hard work and effort did NOT go in vain. But Mass Effect *deserves* a better ending than what was there.

LOVED much of ME3, in fact 90% of it was a slam dunk, losing old squad mates, all be it sad, was done wonderfully, humor was great and EDI’s dialogue was especially entertaining, Tali and Ash drunk – funny stuff, the day 1 DLC – not a problem and loved the content. Other than the ending more LI dialogue would be my wish (I would by a DLC for more
However, I know you don’t want to hear this “again” but the ending ruined ME3’s over all experience for me and I won’t play it a second time (unfortunately) it was just strange and disconnected from the overall stories and experience I had in the previous 2 endings. My choices did not matter, the “16” endings were pretty much all the same with slight variations that made them feel / look the same to me. And the space magic kid just did not fit IMO. I was hopeful that working my but off in game would at least let me have a shot at a happy ending with LI
by my side to gaze into the sky, I also was hoping for a sad one where Shep and others die at the last stand, I expected and would have played the game to see every ending etc..
But thanks for responding, I hope the ending is addressed as you have done so much good work on this and I believe BW/EA will lose some fans/customers if thsi is teh way it "ends".

I hope there will be some official explanation of the ending and (or) maybe DLC later that adds to it.
And my favorite moment must have been Anderson's final talk with Shepard about starting a family, before he died. Very moving.
Oh yeah and drunk Tali is soooo awesome! Hahaha..
Thanks again Bioware for a great game(s). Looking forward to hear what you have to say.

It truly was a brilliant game and my favourite of all time until the last 5-10 mins. Apart from that though, there are so many moments that I can't pick a favourite. The following things spring to mind;Chris Priestly wrote...
What was your favorite moment?
- The crew moving about the Normandy making jokes. It brought the neccessary humour to such a desperate tale. Tali and Ashley being drunk, Garrus having fun with Joker etc
- Any scene with Liara. Honestly. Each so very well written and voice acted.
- The space battles. You guys truly exceeded my expectations for all of them.
- The showdown with the Reaper on Rannoch. Unforgettable. One of those times in a game where I've said to myself "I'm doing what now?! You've gotta be kidding! Ths is insane!!"
- Finishing off Kai Leng at the Cerberus Base. I hated him after what happened to Thane, but I truly despised him after Thessia. Stabbing him with the Omni-blade was an F-yeah moment.
- Curing the Genophage. Watching Mordins final moments were manly tear worthy.
- The shooting competition with Garrus.
