You know what I'd love more than sticking Kai Leng in the gut? Sticking the Starchild/god/AI/little boy in the gut! Please make that an option, and I'll love you guys even if you did sell an incomplete product.

What is there to listen about? We hate ending because it doesn't make any sense whatsoever, no rocket science here. Just do something about it.

I don't have a favourite moment, all of it is or near impeccable - from the heartwrenching to the comical one liners to the sound score, the graphics...the list could go on and on. All of it just stands out from every other game I have ever played and I don't just mean ME3. All 3 of them are out of this world which is why the ending ruins it all and prevents me from replaying them all over and over again. I can't wait until we enter into this discussion and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

My favorite moments have already been covered in this thread (Thane's last moments, Mordin, Kai Leng on the Citadel, Garrus bromance)

One thing that I liked, but also could've gotten more of, is more conversations with Ashley (or Kaidan). It feels like the person that (my) Shep cared about the most wasn't given much attention for about half of the game.

Who cares what our favorite moment in ME3 was? That favorite moment is destroyed with the ending when we realized that everything we did was for nothing.

I've tried to hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter...

Like I said on your twitter page, everything up until the Catalyst was perfect, or pretty close to it(the journal system needed a tweak or two, but that's really nitpicking on my part). But as everyone else said, everything after was abysmal. I think the Gamefront article that's been posted repeatedly(and here it is again in case you missed it: http://www.gamefront...fans-are-right/ ) does an excellent job of summing up our feelings.

"I MADE A MISTAKE!" - I only youtube'd it, and closed it after that line. But that line.
"Would have liked to run tests on seashells." And his singing as the Shroud blows.. /salute
Go give Mordin's VA a bonus.

"WREX, THERE'S A REAPER IN MY WAY!"
"I know. You get to have all the fun."

"Anybody... got something to eat?"

"Oh... you big... Stupid JELLYFISH!"

"I'm Garrus Vakarian, and this is my favourite spot on the Citadel!"

Badassfully: I found Blasto 6 to be quite excellent.

Basically: Everything up until I charged into Harbinger's lasers of doom. Except the kid. I got lost in the dream once chasing Mordin.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! You ask people to hold off on the debate because you want more people to experience the end? Is this for Spoiler reasons? Because it seems you are asking this due to spoilers contained in such a discussion,  but then ask people to give their favourite moments of the game? Which is asking for spoilers? I call Shenanigans on this.

My favourite moment would be when I used the crucible to threaten the reapers to leave or be destroyed. and saved the galaxy, and was reunited with my Sheps LI, oh wait that didn't happen because the product I bought was falsely advertised.

This, right here.

Well it's nice that the wall of silence has been broken.

First of all:

I don't understand why you make a thread to adress the ending, specify that we should only discuss the ending here, and then ask us to post our favorite moments from the Mass Effect series. Our favorite moments has nothing to do with the discussion of the ending!

Now:

We have all seen Shepard succeed where others failed in the last two games. I've personally played ME1 and ME2 10+ times in succession, just to tweak my Shepards story, and make sure that I had made my all choices there were availible. Thats hundreds and hundreds of hours spent in the games, and I wouldn't trade it away for anything.

But we were promised an epic conclusion to the trillogy, and not and abrupt end where an entity we know nothing about gives us 3 options all ending in somewhat failure. I'm not going to talk about the plot holes, bacause I believe that they have been pointed out.

The Mass Effect series has always been about choice and sacrifice, but if you managed to make the right decisions, to invest enough time, upgrading your ship, making sure that your team members were loyal, you would have a chance to survive, and see the whole of your team survive with you. The argument about the series has to end, and it will only end with the death of Sheperd, goes against everything we have seen in the other games.

Furthermore, since you've opened up for discussion, let us know if you are going to do something about the ending or not. Secrecy helps noone in this situation.

As I've said on several of your twitter feeds, I liked Mass Effect 3 very much. You guys have a lot of talent when it comes to telling a story. I couldn't have imagined a better way for Mordin to go out, and as much as it hurt (yes, HURT) to see him sacrifice himself, I knew it was the right thing to do.

However, what you have to understand is that, while the moment when he sacrificed himself was very emotional for me, because he was one of my absolutely favorite characters, it was the aftermath that made it seem like it was the right thing to do.

Imagine: Mordin goes up there. He's singing. He dies. You see the Genophage cure spread. Next thing, it cuts to Wrex who tells Shepard he has their support, and then, nobody talks about the Genophage or Mordin again.
If you would have thought "What the **** just happened? Is that it? That tiny bit of feedback for something the characters should react to? Not even showing Krogans looking up in the air? No hints of a brighter future?", then you know what we're thinking about your endings.

Minor tweaks here and there are not 16 endings. We've got exactly six endings. Well, actually, we've got one ending, plus five variations, some of which have a different color, as can be seen here:

Also, I very much recommend this Youtube video:

I've been a big fan of Bioware and the Mass Effect series. I've played the first two games of the series and I was satisfied, even though I always thought that it showed that Mass Effect 2 was just a filler between 1 and 3, but the characters and the sheer depth of your interaction with them made it all worthwhile. Now, what we all want to see is what happens to them, to the races you've encountered and to the rest of the galaxy. We want you to stay true to your promise that the endings show us what we've done and how it affects the world, no matter if Shepard dies or not. Casey promised an ending that could not be categorized in "A, B and C". Instead, it's A through F? Or Red, Blue and Green?
That is not what you promised. That is not what we payed for. It's not what we deserve, what Shepard deserves or what that amazing series deserves. With an ending like that, the entire series, or at the very least ME3, becomes a piece of crap. Yes, I'm serious. How could I pick it up again, if I know that, no matter what I do, it always comes down to Red, Blue and Green? Why should I bother playing it again? Why should I make peace between the Geth and the Quarians if the Geth are eliminated in the one ending that we set out for? Why should I bother forging an alliance between the Krogans and the Thurians if they'll NEVER EVER EVER EVER see each other again because the Mass Relays are destroyed? Hell, if the Mass Relays explode, there won't even be any life left in the systems where they are placed, because you've established in the Arrival DLC that such a detonation wipes out all life in that solar system. And even if they don't: Their destruction, unless you offer a serious alternative that would enable the races to rebuild them in a matter of weeks, months or a few years at the most would permanently eliminate any galactic community. Let alone that what remains of the armada you've gathered are stuck on Earth. Thurians can't eat our food because their body chemistry is based on different proteins. They'd starve to death, no matter which ending we choose, with the possible exception of the Green one... but still: WHAT THE HELL? You wanted to give us a dark ending? Alright, be my guest. But giving us a dark, ridiculously short ending that offers no closure, no information on what the repercussions of our choices throughout the series are, in the very end, and what our final choice does to every race we know? NO. Leaving plotholes too big to ignore? NO. Making your crew run for it and abandon you when it's the complete opposite of what they'd do? NO NO NO.

With all due respect: This is absolutely unacceptable. No matter what you've planned, if it's not free DLC that changes the ending completely so we see exactly what we did there and fills in the gaps the size of the Atlantic you left, there will be no 'peace'. We payed for what you promised. We're not interested in pointless missions before the final battle if the ending stays the same. We're not interested in paying for Mass Effect 4 if it gives us the ending we have already payed for, the one you explicitly promised we would get, the one Bioware, of all companies, should be able to deliver.

Since you listen and are probably aware of our opinions and of what that editor from the Forbes Magazine wrote (Just as a heads-up: http://www.forbes.co...-good-business/ ),
you know it:

Maybe do something about Tali's face, for how anti-human they were, they look awfully human.

Also, photoshopped, I was hoping for something rendered in game instead

All copies of Mass Effect 3 should be traded towards Borderlands 2.
If the "Truth DLC" turns out to be true, then perhaps no.
However, I can imagine people will still be upset, feeling like they got a incomplete game.
Especially if they charge for it.
This is why all copies of Mass Effect 3, should be traded in towards Borderlands 2.
If Bioware has no plans to change the ending.
First borderlands, was a action RPG that was insanely fun.
The story wasn't something most cared about, but it featured perhaps the greatest CO-OP of this generation.
If you haven't checked out the first borderlands, you should.
The characters were great too, especially the clap traps.
The stories were fun at times, but offered no chance at a let down, due to the fact the game is about Game play and fun.
Borderlands 2, will feature even better Co Op, better interaction and a better story, than the original.
Even is the story is horrible at the end and I doubt this. It cannot take away from the experiences and fun of the first game. It won't undo the fun of the second game either.
Mass Effect 3's Story ruined the end for most fans, and no choices they made felt like they mattered to most.
Borderlands will give you no such letdown, because it's a different system.
In Short if you want to play a action focused RPG shooter, Borderlands 2 shouldn't disappoint you., with Gameplay, Story, or Co Op.
I realize this doesn't change the fact, that the Mass Effect series is ruined for most if the endings stay the same.
However with Borderlands 2, I promise it will be a better experience and much more fun.
With no day one DLC, that will be a complete game.
I purpose trading in Mass Effect 3 for Borderlands 2, to support a developer that cares about their fans. At least more so than Bioware.
Borderlands 2 is also my outside pick for game of the year honors.
Mass Effect 3 shouldn't win.
I know Bioware fanboys will flame at me for this one... maybe even Bioware.
If you don't think you will like Borderlands 2, Planet Side 2 is a first person shooter MMO that looks very promising (PC exclusive).
Risen 2 a pirate RPG, is coming in May and could be a very good game.
Also there is Dragon's Dogma, which looks like it could be a fun fantasy RPG coming soon as well.
Darksiders II may be a action game but will feature RPG elements and looks great.
Guild Wars 2, enough said.
BioShock Infinite also looks amazing and should have a amazing story.
Game of Thrones RPG is coming out in April, have my doubts about this one and could be good.
Aliens Colonial Maries, looks to be a extreme fun Science fiction shooter, that takes place after the movie aliens, and promises to follow the lore of the first two films. Could be great.
So take your pick, most of those games will rock and you won't have to worry about being crushed due to poor writing.
Trade in your game and invest in one of these titles, if you don't like the ending.
You do not need Bioware, Bioware needs you. Remember that.

Chris, I assume that you're looking for confirmation on what was done right (in the eyes of fans).

So, what was done right? Everything. Ignoring momentarily the flippant responses that you are getting, I want to let you know that the game is a wonderful step in the right direction for BioWare and video games as a whole medium.

The writing, voice acting, and cinematics were all incredible. It was truly the first time that I experienced such a connection to the characters in any video game. For me at least, the game truly felt like a good interactive book (and that's a great thing!). The romances also felt organic rather than forced.

The foley and soundtrack immensely enhanced the emotions and atmosphere of every scene. The composers deserve a hearty pat on the back, if nothing else.

Character animations and graphics were done right. They looked good and were not outrageously demanding, so people with low-performance PCs could still manage to play the game.

The multiplayer section was handled properly, and I for one do not feel that it detracted from the singleplayer section whatsoever. In fact, I think it really does enhance the campaign. It was a great idea that was executed well, without a doubt.

And, above all else, the game part of the product was still there. Combat was improved and felt much more fluid than either game beforehand. The challenge curve felt natural, as combat was both easy and challenging at just the right moments.

There are, of course, a few quibbles that I do have about the game (that are not related to the endings), but they are truly minor in grand scope of things. All in all, you guys at BioWare did a great job.

Not that this one measly fan will make a difference, or that you all need reassurance from him anyway, but I just want to let you know that the Mass Effect team has much to be proud of.

Oh, and my favorite moment... That's a tough one, but I'd have to say it's the moment when Liara shares her memories with Shepard on Earth. That tugged the heart strings in just the right way, you know?

One of my favorite parts:

Mordin on the Salarian homeworld in the facility.
Salarian speaks up, gets shocked. Mordin behind him: "Objection noted. Dismissed.". I love that moment. It shows to what extend Mordin is "Renegade" as well as "Nice and Paragon."

My favorite moments:

Almost all of the crew interactions were very well done, both when they talked to each other and when I got to talk to them. This includes the cameos from ME2.

The scene with Anderson and Shepard at the end

The giant space battle at the start of the final battle

All of Tuchunka and Rannoch were amazing but in particular seeing the start of the Geth/Quarian war and Mordin's sacrifice were awesome and emotional.

Thane's death was very emotional.

All of the above along with little things I didn't mention make the game the best I have ever played except for my least favorite things:

Everything from the space elevator on in the ending. The plot holes with the Normandy, the 3 main endings differing mostly in the color of the light beams, the implied Turian/Quarian fleet members starving to death, Shepard acting totally out of character and not telling the Starchild he was full of BS, the destruction of the Mass Relays utterly changing the galaxy and not for the better, the abrupt genre switch from 100+ hours of space opera to transhumanism , etc.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

Yeah that is a great point.

Also maybe you could explain why I have to play Multiplayer to get all the single player endings.  if I could or wanted to play mulitplayer don't you think I would?  All I can say is Multiplayer must really such if Bioware feels they have to force us to play it and they must know it.

Favourite moments:
Shooting bottles with Garrus.
Talking about Krogan culture and attitudes towards women with Eve.
"I did just write your name in the stars..." with Liara.
The emotional resolution to the Geth and Quarian conflict, with Legion's last words and Tali choking up, and the feeling that Shepard had made a real and positive difference to the galaxy. Feeling didn't last, but it was there and it was great... until the end. It sounds stupid but I can't even finish my renegade playthrough of ME2 now, let alone replay ME3 :(

Dear Bioware, you have made the best, if not the best game I have ever played, I'll probably rant about how the ending crushed any idea I had of replaying the whole series, but know that I loved your game up until that ending.

1) Liara wasn't my LI but that scene at the end, basically hinting she loves you and that her "one thing she wanted to do" was have a moment with you, was so touching I nearly cried and I'm a 28 years old man who doesn't get choked up at anything.

2) Maw Vs Reaper, I know some people don't like gameplay taken out of their hands, but seeing as I had to run like hell to call the Threasher Maw, seeing my work pay off was an incredible feeling.

3) Stand Off with the Reaper, plus the Conversation "Harbinger spoke of you" I had chills. Plus Legion and as Tali was my love-interest the touching moment on the hill.

4) "I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite spot on the Citadel"

5) God there's so many I loved...Taking Garrus and Liara to the Council meeting and the Wrex reunion where Wrex compliments Liara, then Garrus walks into frame coughing for attention and Wrex makes a comment.

6) Javik, he may have been DLC but I loved how he fit into the game, how the Hanar reacts to him, his cold view of the reapers, but still showing a soft side to his personality.

7) EDI and Joker, this is going to sound odd, I love everything you did with Joker and EDI, it was funny, sweet, romantic, touching, interesting, thought-provoking at times and both characters benefited from their interaction. But I hate that you turned the only non-sexualised "female" into a smoking hot, big-robo-boobed fem-bot. I wouldn't change it, but I predicted that would happen as a joke to a friend after ME2, then saw that plot-twist coming a mile away.

8) The start with the kid on Earth, plus the dreams, but I wish the dreams... went somewhere, like you have the dream where you find peace or you find it's Harbinger whipering in your ear

9) The charge, when Harbinger landed and you start running god my heart was going

10) Customisation of the armor and guns, thank you for this, but seriously far too many guns this time, 50 guns!? 50 upgradable guns!? By the time I got most I didn't have enough money to upgrade and see which I liked the most.

10) In house jokes/comments about the Mako, Firewalker, Shepards dancing, Jokers Jokes

Problems (these weren't bad just...):
1) Hanar Diplomat quest can't be solved, the Terminal glitches or something.
2)No real choices -I don't mind this as the characters all talk about past events constantly, but for reference, if you don't save the Rachni, you meet a Reaper Rachni, if you did save the Rachni, you save her again and get 100 points...Whether you keep the collector base or not, parts of the reaper still survive. If Mordin dies you get that other guy, if Wrex dies you get his brother. It's not a problem it just makes you look for the big pay off at the end which tells you how this changes things...which doesn't come.

Only Problem: The end (Me1 and ME2 ended in similar ways, BUT things did change based on your choices and you could replay and see those changes)
This isn't varied like ME2 was so I stick to saying it's ONE END, where everything you've done over 3 games is thrown away. If you wanted to pull that card, you should have had all the choices play out before that point. Like seeing if the armada is winning or losing, more ground forces in the final push, friendly Rachni helping in the Earth City scenes. Another thing. You see inside the Citadel everyone is still flying around, then it opens, then it blows up, did all 6 trillion aliens die? Where was Harbinger while the Crucidle slowly docked?

Harbinger isn't important but I personally wanted to blow him up, even more so after he fries everyone and Shepard.
