Favorite moment: finishing "scientist Salarian" for Mordin while crying.

Concerning the ending: just admit the "TRUTH", that the indoctrination theory is right and there will be dlc. Please, I need to focus on my paper but CAN'T.

However: I know to well the truth of the following quote: Prince Lir: "No. My lady, I am a hero. Heroes know that things must happen when it is time for them to happen. A quest may not simply be abandoned; unicorns may go unrescued for a long time, but not forever. A happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story."

So I will wait. For it to go on.

Mass Effect 3 was absolutely fantastic.By far my favorite of the trilogy, and my favorite game of this generation so far.The ending, while i did liked it,it would be even better if had more closure for the characters, but mostly important,to Shepard and his LI.

Bests moments:

All Reaper fights

All crew dialogs

Thane Vs Kai Leng

Thanx Chris and thank you BioWare,

It gives me some measure of peace to know that you are actually listening to us.

As for me, I also want to say thank you for the truly astounding trilogy of Mass Effect. I'll never forget in 2007 when on my Xbox, I downloaded the SCIvs.Fi episode of Mass Effect. It was from seeing the incredible work done on this game that I decided to venture out and purchase Mass Effect. As soon as I hit the play button, you basically had me at "hello." :)

It has been an phenominal 5 years. And although I am saddened by what I am currently percieving as an end. I do have hope for the future. (Silence, takes sudden breath...) ;)

BioWare has consistently created stellar games with stories and characters that impact us and through which we come to care very deeply for. This to me, is the mark of great writing and I look forward to the next great adventure.

Sincerely,
Toryn Wattan

Thank you for putting this up, I hope it is a sign that you will be willing to work with use to rectify this situation. If this is the case it will go a long way to alleviate some of the frustration that the community and I have been feeling. I personally loved the scene where Tali got drunk. It was funny but at the same time sad. It is moments like that which make the series feel real and why I love it so much.

You made a fantastic series and a near perfect game, please fix this so I can enjoy what you created for years to come. Until then we will hold the line.

Can't say I'm convinced yet.
Bioware have a tendency to use vague words to try and placate; so until action is put behind it, then the ending issue still means that ME1, ME2 and ME3 have been ruined for me, by the lousy - nonsensical - "ending".

And for thousands others it seems.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

Replace "debate" with "disgust" - you'd be accurately describing at least 80% of whats on the boards.

Best moment though? Mordin dying and seeing Tali back on her homeworld both made me well up a little bit... In all though the game was outstanding, it was fantastic in every way. Apart from that one final, somewhat fatal, flaw.

Thanks for the response. I will give kudos where kudos is due. I was expecting to be disappointed throughout the entire game. I was thrilled that I loved everything, until the Citadel stuff at the end. I was afraid it was just going to be "hey we found this super secret weapon just lying around". I loved the concept of each cycle making progress on the crucible.

Also, because of the marketing I was under the impression that only Earth was being attacked by the Reapers. Glad to see that was wrong, and that the whole galaxy was on the verge of collapse.

With that being said, the ending ruined the entire trilogy for me. The endings made your choices meaningless.

Also, "The Arrival" established that when a Mass Relay is destroyed, it wipes out the solar system it is in. Doesn't this mean that all the home worlds are gone? Was there something I missed?

 Favorite moment:
When Admiral Hacket calls a broken bleeding Shepard and her immediate answer is "What do you need me to do."

Nothing could possibly exemplify Shepard better.

Worst moment:
Everything afterwards

Thank you for finally responding...I was thinking BW didn't listen to their fans...
As for the favourite moment...everything except the last moments...not even kidding...
Wandering around the Citadel, scanning and the tension with reaper awareness, geth consensus, Javik on Thessia, Liara's time capsule, talks with garrus, Kalros vs Destroyer, the talks on Earth, going with Garrus to shoot bottles, and ofc the final talks with some former squadmates on Earth. The game is a total masterpiece and i absolutely love it...up untill the ending anyways

I cannot appreciate Commander Shepard anymore. Your ending (singular) made her into a coward, and invalidated everything she ever did.
You didn't just kill her body, you killed her spirit, and mine along with it.

Couldn't agree more.

We cannot reach the ending until the content we paid for is complete.

Leaving us with 90% of possible 'endings' antithetical to the body of the work is a betrayal of your own art.

Taunting us for buying your vehicle and then standing there with the keys dangling from your hand is betrayal of your customer.

I absolutely loved all of Tuchanka, it was near flawless in my opinion, from the music, to Mordin and the female Krogan was an amazing character. I loved all the game to be honest, but Tuchanka was definitely my favourite.

As for the endings, I am mainly disappointed because they don't seem to have any correlation to the story you have built up for 3 games. Everything comes out of nowhere. I don't think it is that our Shepards don't get a happy ending, I think a lot of us were expecting Shepard to be dead or messed up by the end of the journey, its just that there is no closure whatsoever from these endings. We were told our choices would matter, but they don't in the end. We were told the endings would vary greatly time and time again during marketing, but they are the same ending with different coloured explosions and a very slight change in cutscene.

If we weren't promised varied endings I wouldnt be as upset, but it was mentioned time and time again.

Wait, so you want to discuss the ending, but you won't do it until everyone can complete the game? But... this is a spoiler-friendly forum. It's specifically for the purpose you are describing.

I don't think many people appreciate this, but druing Palaven if you look up there is an AMAZING view of the battle above, it's just pure awesome! It's strange... Bioware are good at many things but enviroments aren't one of them, but in Palaven... you can feel the tension going on and how hopeless the situation is against the Reapers.

Ok, ill give you feedback alright >_>

The game was awesome, no, seriously, gameplay wise, it far surpassed my expectations, i really like in particular the system of weight and the modded weapons, and the different levels for powers. And the enemies are much better, constructed and their reactions.

I accept the conversations being much more streamlined but it would feel much more natural if they were give as a normal conversation cutscene instead of letting us run off (or having Shepard having her back turned to however it is shes talking to), the way it is you dont get to see expressions, lacks the impact weve been used to getting.

The story was fine, the whole journey was exciting (some parts had me almost crying, some had me screaming at the screen to "kill them all!!", laughing out loud, or even anger), i did not quite like the attention given to Cerberus instead of the Reapers, but it was still one hell of a ride.... right up until the ending....

Pretty sure youve read\\heard this a thousand times already, but theres serious issues here.
I for one accept the ending (yes, ending, the differences are so slight, its easier to describe it as being only one), i accept the implications, i even liked it to a certain extent, but then theres two problems.
One, and one that i simply cant get past, is the whole scene with the Normandy and the fact that your squadmates apparently teleported inside, that scene was either not thought at all... or someone was honestly intoxicated.
The other is that, put nicely, we were lied to, and this is serious, we were told many things about how Shepards journey would end, we were told there would be multiple outcomes, we were told it would be hard to see 2 Shepards getting the exact same ending, we were told there would be a sense of conclusion, and ALL of that, was a lie.
If we had been told "the ending is set in stone, theres very slight variations about it, and they are somewhat out of context, since EVERY Shepard can get the same ending".... im pretty sure not only would the game have fared somewhat worse as far as sales are concerned, but this whole outrage wouldnt be happening....
Instead we got lied to.

My girlfriend just finished the game, shes over there on the corner bitting my CE editions metal box in rage over the fact that all she had to do was choose from 3 different colored explosions, and that she didnt even get to see what happened with Kaidan >_> Now even selling this game back will prove hard due to some teethmarks -_-

Yes, im actually considering selling my ME3, never thought this would happen, but the truth is, no matter even if i accept the ending, its so..... scripted, that any reason to replay the game is gone, i had  5 Shepards, and i cant bring myself to see their different journeys, because i know, in the end, theyll all amount to the same.

The game is incredible, it has been an amazing ride on a emotional roller coaster, the interaction between different characters and the depiction of their sentiments is unimpeachable, but here is a list of things you need to explain if you intend to make a new or extended ending.

1. The premise of star child's explanation to the reaper's existence is that synthetics and organics can't get along, which is proved wrong in both Qurian/Geth case and EDI/Joker case

2. Squad member accompanying you disappeared after charging to the beam and is later shown getting off Normandy while they should be on Earth either killed by giant laser or lying unconsciously on the ground.

3. Normandy shown escaping using a mass relay, the only mass relay in sol system is near Pluto while the ship should be near Earth. Even if it's a FTL jump, which planet in the sol system has a jungle?

4. Shepard wakes up lying in rubble and breathes, where is he? Citadel? Earth? How?

And these are just the ones that pops up in my mind, I'm sure there's more.

I forgot to add Mordin's sacrifice and stopping Samara from killing herself.
Although I feel very sad for her poor daughter, alone on a dead planet and since there are no Portals anymore, she'll be stranded there forever.

Which brings me back to the ending and a few thoughts I had about it before you closed the tread in the other forum.:

I seriously can't believe Bioware wasn't aware that an ending this different from the whole voice and way of the game up until then wouldn't raise a ruckuss.

They either did it because they really planned on DLC's all along, or someone seriously failed at his job. (of anticipating fan's reaction, wasn't the outcry about DA2, which I didn't approve, enough?).

To be honest most people want a payoff of some kind after spending so much time and money on a franchise (I bought every book, every comic, all DLC apart from the alternate appearance packs for 2).
I
I personally want a chance for a happy ending, I could live with a reasonable ending that was in tone with the rest of the game, but I don't get why we didn't get the really different endings we were basically promised by Bioware.

I know we can't demand this sort of thing, but what we can do and what I will do is stop buying BW games,

I bought every game since Kotor and Neverwinter Nights, because they gave me a satisfying ending.
I saved the galaxy with Revan and Neverwinter with my adventurer, defeated the three bad emperor brothers with the Lotus Flower (and others which I name I can't remember right now), fought and beat the blight with the Warden and tried to do the best with Kirkwall I could with Hawke, (at least the city wasn't destroyed and you could save all party members).

Mass Effect was by far the game I liked the most, for the reasons we all know. That ending went against almost all the reasons I liked the franchise and I am extremely dissappointed.

So when I stop buying Bioware products, this isn't really meant as a a punishment (so of course it feels like one), no I just don't really want my games to let me down in the end and can't trust Bioware anymore to deliver that.

And yes, I managed perfect playthroughs as both Paragon and (almost) Paragade on ME1 and ME2 and I'm proud of it. I would have wanted an ending that was fitting for everything my Shepards had achieved before and now they all seem like loosers to me.

When does Bioware think, enough other people finished the game?

Favourite moment was Mordins sacrifice and Grunt comming back from the cave asking for food.

And ending theory: Look in my signature. It'sobvious indoctrination.

I wish to hear Harbringer one more time threatening me.

Hard to choose a single favorite moment, there's so many! I guess my overall favorite thing about it was the quality of the character interactions and dialogue that really blew me away. The epic set-pieces and atmosphere was also pretty awesome. Great selection of weapons too, hehe.
