Mass Effect 3 is the best game I have ever played.

I dont have any complaints about the ending which havent already been said to death by others, but it did not ruin the whole experience for me.

I look forward to seeing what you can bring to the single player experience in the future.

While flawed, ME has always been about the story and the characters, and you certainly delivered. Too bad it went to quickly downhill with the ending

Bioware,

One of the three "choices" for the ending was great and thought-provoking. The other two were basically the same. However, all three choices led to a contrived and incomplete ending. You guys had better have some seriously heavy firepower (we're talking M-920 CAIN heavy, here) under your sleeves in order to redeem yourselves in your fans' eyes.

I want all of Bioware's public statements made before launch to hold true. Bioware knows what it said, and what it has yet to fulfill. Now, just fulfill it and your fanbase will return with support.

There were many amazing moments, seeing Sovereign for the first time, stopping saren, surviving the suicide mission..... and all those moments mean nothing with the last 10min of Mass Effect 3. :(

I keep trying to enjoy different part of the game again, but the ending makes it so it all seem worthless. And i really wish OP would stop making fun of the fanbase on Twitter.

Just remember those of us unhappy with the ending, remain civil to all those that do like it. As for my opinion on Mass Effect 3? Other than the endings, it, along with the other two are my favourite games of all time. They craft a beautiful story. It honestly feels like one man against the world at times, and every time he'd just keep on fighting and keep on winning. That's what I loved about my Shepard. He never caved, never gave in, just fought for what he believed in. So yeah, other than the ending of 3, it's awesome!

Thanks for breaking the silence (finally)

Favourite moment: Talking to all my friends at the final battle or the end of the Tuchunka mission. These are the kinds of things I will never forget Mass Effect for; moments of intensity and emotion. No other game gives me this kind of experience and for the first time, I willingly put a video game on the same level as a movie or a book in terms of entertainment and artistic quality.

Another thing I will never forget (or forgive) is the poorly executed and totally unsatisfactory ending. All those moments I was talking about before? The reasons I love Mass Effect so much? Tainted for me in an instant (Well actually like five minutes worth of instants) I look forward to what you guys have to say about it, but if it's just "That's the way it ended, sorry you guys didn't like it" then wow. That's all I can say: Wow.

I...I'm not sure I can answer that question. My *actual* favorite moments have a lot of their impact robbed of them by the ending itself.

There are tons of small moments, like Tali toasting Miranda, that made me smile. But there are so many others, like Kasumi telling you that drinks are on her, or Jacob suggesting you get drinks at this little bar he knows, that lose their emotional impact when you realize it's never going to matter. Ditto for decisions regarding the genophage and the resolution of the Morning War.

Those, and many others, would be my favorite moments. There are so many potential favorites that it's clear this game is something amazing, and then the ending poisons all of that. I know you guys want to respect the people that haven't finished the game, but...there are a lot of us that right now aren't ever going to purchase your games again.

The longer we have to wait, the less likely any platitudes or solutions you have later are going to matter.

The wonderful storytelling in 99% of ME3 was ruined entirely by its last few minutes (ie. pseudo end thing that we were given). There were highlights, of course, but they were drowned out by how horrid the ending(s?) really was. I'm still hoping that a free DLC is incoming that will continue the story after whatever dream Shepard had after Kai Leng was killed. Someone wake Shepard up and send him/her back into the fight!

Agreed. Yesterday, before I completed the game I wanted nothing other than to play the game again with my other Shepards. Now... well, maybe I will just stop playing after I've killed Kai Leng.

I agree with what "K177sh0t" said. there was nothing wrong with shepards ending, i personally liked it it was that good mix of sad and beautiful. My only issue is the fact that none of the characters wed spent 3 games learning about and interacting with where all ignored at the end.

My favourite moments
Garrus and Shepard shooting
Meeting Jack in Purgatory
Walking in on Garrus and Tali

Everything was great and heart-wrenching, especially this

Then the elevator to crazytown appeared and Astroboy showed up. Now that, those last 5-10 minutes needs to be fixed as it if never happened.

While I was torn between both sides, Bioware and our Fleet and the charity, I made some assumptions about the ending and Bioware.

And now, after 1260 pages, 40.000 votes, 45.000$, 25.000 facebook likes...we get THIS? Japan release was lately, so how about you add 30 hours to that (A fair amount to finish the game.) and give us the answer tomorrow!

Coming back to the point:
Many moments, like Thane dieying, Mordin dieying...did I miss someone beeing killed? :innocent:

The music was great, as was the moon of Palavan. Great environment.

Hard to choose a favorite moment.. The ending made me not really care for any of it.. I guess I liked the destroy ending that killed everything (at least it made some sense that everything ends and nothing you can do about the space magic:wizard:)

There's actually not as much debate as there is a universal dislike, the only real debate comes from what exactly people dislike about the ending. Of course, there is -some- debate but from what I've seen on my regular trips to the forum since I finished ME3, not as much as some of your comments [your meaning Bioware] suggest there is.

I enjoyed the entire series up until the ending, which was sadly bad enough to put me off picking up the games again. It's not just that the ending provided an unsatisfactory conclusion to your efforts through the series but is also devalues everything you've done up to that point by rendering it largely moot and pointless.

In keeping with my generally sunny disposition, however. I particularly enjoyed my bromance with Garrus, on top of the presidium.

I couldn't wait to play it again until I experienced the ending, and now I can't be bothered.

Such a shame.

One of my favourite games of all time! Loved the first 99.9% of the game.

The ending made me want to microwave the disc & feed it to a goat.

Haven't been able to have a favorite moment yet, my copy seems to be incomplete. For some reason it ends with Joker on some random planet and I'm left with more questions than answers.

I think my absolute best moment was the 'conclusion' of Liara's love story.

I-was-crying-10-minutes-long! Well done!

The game was full of great moments.
It had more doom & gloom elements to it than I normaly like, but considering the plot - I guess it is acceptable.
I only wish the ending was as great as the rest and not so... problematic - as mordin would have said.

I am sure I cried at so many moments, but I can remember three in particular:

When Kaiden told me, on the Citadel, that he only ever wanted to be with someone he trusted, I cried. I love Kaiden, but I was in a committed relationship with Liara and it broke my heart to turn him down.

When I realized that curing the genophage meant sacrificing Mordin, I knew it had to be done. I would never betray an entire species that I had been rooting for from day 1. But as I watched him sing under his breath, realizing that even he knew he would never make it out alive, I cried.

When I saw Grunt make it out of the rachni caves, I didn't cry. Or rather, I didn't start crying. I was crying from halfway through his fight with the rachni; does it count as a new instance of crying if my tears changed from tears of sadness to tears of pride and joy?

Of course, I had problems with the endings; that's not really surprising by this point, is it? I just wanted to make this post to express my appreciation of everything that Mass Effect 3 got right; and it got so much right.

There are just so many wonderful moments in Mass Effect 3. If I had to pick one favourite though, it has to be the end to the Quarian/Geth conflict on Rannoch and the ensuing conversation with Tali. It was bittersweet and wonderful. I suppose that's why I felt so horribly deflated by the ending....
