Haven't been able to have a favorite moment yet, my copy seems to be incomplete. For some reason it ends with Joker on some random planet and I'm left with more questions than answers.

Yeah, my disc is defective, too.

The game and the entire SERIES was fantastic till the end made everything pointless. Like if the ending to the last Harry Potter book required that all magic needed to be erased. Plus Deus ex Machina is a cliche and poor choice of ending for any decent writer period.

I hope you are also considering what this outrage will do to Bioware's future game and DLC sales.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

First off Chris, let me say I appreciate Bioware showing up on the forums in a presence, I know being the first guy on the scene usually is akin to throwing a hambone in a room full of hungry wolverines. So first and foremost thank you for having the testicular fortitude to come on here.

Second, as its been said, Yes we believe Bioware dropped the ball on the ending, assuming, this isn't some complicated ruse and you have the real ending tucked away somewhere. but if you haven't then the previous statement stands true, if not, then to be honest while a clever and imaginitive hype building marketing campaign, i don't think you factored in people's thirst for experiancing Shephard's journey's end.

Thirdly, in regards to your question, alot of people have alot of answers to that question, but overall people have enjoyed how one of those moments flowed into the next, and the next and so on. So in that, Bravo, again, I state that flow goes till the infamous "last 10 minutes" so its a hard question to answer. But overall the game is fantastic. Hope that helps answer your question.

As far as my personal favorite, its not so much one thing, but the many times it occured. The banter, the funny moments, both In port, on the ship and even comments yelled out in the heat of combat. It helped me care about these people, and made me feel for them as I would real friends. Because as weird as it sounds, that kind of Levity would exist in a real combat unit, a form of stress relief and a coping mechnism and I love it. Especially between Garrus and Shepard, I love the fact that they are best friends, Han and Chewie, John Chriton and Ka'Dargo. Kirk and Spock,  And the bottle scene was perfect, it made the case exactly.

My personal favorite companion through all of this has been Garrus, because my Shepard being an Infiltrator, is basically in the same job type as Garrus, and both of them almost acting as they do even in the heat of battle, allows them to keep a cool calm that one would expect from sniper marksman.

Everything but the ending was great! I know you want to wait to say anything but an approximate timeline on when we can expect to hear ANYTHING would be appreciated.

Definitely fighting the Reaper on Rannoch and brokering peace between the Quarians and the Geth.

Or brokering peace between the Turians and the Krogans.

Or finally having the Asari councilor admit my  obvious greatness.

Or seeing my old companions from ME2 and assigning them to different parts of the army.

I loved how the EMS bar pooled all of our past decisions into a score that would help determine how well we performed at the end game

Kai Leng was pretty effective at building up my antagonism

In general, pretty much any part where I resolved longstanding feuds that were built up since ME1 and  got some official acknowledgement for my greatness. The trilogy built up to those conflicts and relationships, and to use my incredible power and charisma to put them to use against the Reapers was so satisfying.

But that's the problem; Mass Effect has been about the build up since the end of the first game.

Glad to hear you guys are listening. :) You have in the past so I didn't believe you'd stop now. Looking forward to the day when more fans have had a chance to experience the greatness that is ME3, and we can finally hear some solid answers to so many driving questions.

As to my personal favorite moments:
- All the EPIC on foot battles while a GIANT Reaper is attacking; simply stunning visuals and adrenaline pumping moments
- Loads of emotional scenes; character deaths got me good. Mordin crippled me the most. ;-;
- The expanding on the romances from ME2 was really nice. Lots of great humor and heart wrenching moments there. (Garrus <3)

All in all, my experience throughout ME3 was breathtaking. Regardless of how the ending(s) went I still feel it deserves GOTY.

The game was filled with awesome moments, all of which brought out real emotion from me. However, since the ending destroyed those, I can't really pick one anymore. All the feeling and emotion was taken away by the awfulness of the ending, so even the moments I loved are not that great. Any interaction between FemShep, Anderson, and Hackett is still praise worthy I guess. Jennifer Hale, Keith David, and Lance Henrikson did such an amazing job that even the terribad ending can't cheapen their work.

Going back to read through these comments, I remembered another crying moment: when I purposefully missed the shot and Garrus was so proud of himself, I think that was the moment that I realized that Shepard was going to die (note that this does not mean I predicted how the ending was going to go; I just immediately realized it was going to be bittersweet). I cried there, watching them share a quiet moment right before the storm.

My favorite moment and most hated moment was when I sided with the geth against the quarians. Tali is my favorite character, and the quarians are my favorite race. The scene broke my heart. It was an emotional masterpiece, very well-written.

mass effect 3 is a game worthy of the name.
it is an emotional rollercoaster for anyone who has invested time in these characters. its just sad that the rollercoaster stops before the final loop and asks you to get off.

my favorite moment was when the geth told admiral Raan that they are welcome to come back to rannoch with them.

My favorite moment would be the vakyrian and shepards day off scene. Atleast we don't have to worry about revolting bottles :P

The interactions between Liara and our prothean companion are funny sometimes.

Emeeergeny Induuuction port!

Jack in the bar on the citadel after you safe them

Rodriquez yelling "I will destroy you!" taking after her teacher.

There were to many moments that literally made me laugh out loud.

Besides the endings the only complaint I have is that my soldier had a very hard time taking out armored targets, prefer the stopping power of the ME2 sniper rifles :P. My sentinel is having a much easier time on a harder difficulty.

The entire game was awesome, I loved how we were able to see the results of all of our choices over the last two games(i.e Saving Wrex, The Geno-phage Cure, RE-writing the Geth) The game-play itself is superb and flows well. If only the ending was more broad and tied up all the loose ends, I would definitely be nearing my third play-through lol

I loved the game! Thane's scene against Kai Leng I was actually cheering! Mordins death hit hard because he was definitely my favorite character in ME2. So many literally epic moments in the game, its hard to choose. Just fix those endings and you'll have my hands-down favorite game series ever!

While it's not worth it to brand ME3 a poor game merely by its ending, I understand where the criticism is coming from. Having said that, I feel it's easy to be unable to see the praise ME3 deserves through all the discontent that has been shown. ME3 was a rollercoaster I will never forget, and will gladly replay to experience it all anew. I wouldn't shy away from saying ME3 is possibly THE best RPG Bioware has ever delivered, and that's saying a lot from someone who has been completely hooked on NWN and KOTOR for years.

Liara's data box, uniting the Geth and the Quarians, Mordin's death, Wrex and Grunt's utterly bad-ass appearances, both fem- and male-shep's wonderful delivery of their lines, the immensely grand atmosphere on Palaven's moon and Thessia with the screen-filling reapers serving as a panorama, the cinematic music, the once again great characters at every turn, even all the way up to Tali's face. There are simply too many moments to mention that have made this game unforgettable. To me, ME3 is the most immersive and best experience I've ever gone through.

It's exactly because of all these reasons that people feel bad about the ending. It feels like it passes by far too quickly, and it gives far too little info on what happens next and what we can expect of all the actions we have committed and all the characters we have grown to love. People want a worthy ending to their favourite franchise; one that it deserve. Nevertheless, every contributor to ME3 has done a wonderful job at offering us an opportunity to go through such a magnificent experience.

Best moments: Everything on Tuchanka. The Citadel Coup. Sanctuary. Moments with Illusive Man prior to the horrible, horrible ending. Basically, 90% of the game was perfect or almost perfect, could use a bit more stuff happening on Earth perhaps, but still - awesome up until the last 15 minutes.

Worst moment: the moment you realize this is no longer our story when the ending comes, and overally the hole-ridden, illogical, highly irritating ending abomination. Please, fix it. I want to love you all as I always did. I want to love this game and replay the hell out of it - but I need to know that it doesn't just end in a giant deus ex machina plothole.

Erhm...thanks for saying something. Truly appreciated. I'm still dying, here, though. Hurry up and play the game, Japan!

And trying to consider a favorite moment is like trying to determine which seashell is the prettiest, isn't it? Every time I consider one of them, thinking how spectacular it is, another one catches my eye. I'm going to miss that "Scientist Salarian", sigh. Loved the Shenko romance, too.

See, they are listening, now tune down the rage a notch plz.

Mordin last few moments, I liked
Thane battle with that dude and last moments.
The Geth-Quarians thingy where I forgot to do the side quest that would give me the choice to resolve this peacefully. Hell I felt like crap when I doomed an entire race.
Afterwards I was roaming my ship to find someone that would support me, give me conversation options where I could cry or whatever. Then I went to sleep. When I woke up I was still feeling bad about what I did. Can't say I felt like that for any other game before.

The ending and lack of any effect from the assets makes you realize like several have stated, that the entire game really doesn't matter in regards to your choices.

This shouldn't even be a situation of taking feedback, you guys appear to have majorly screwed up somehow and this needs to be fixed, not in terms of a DLC you pay for or a DLC that's free, but a patch, because it's a major issue.

Vital content or vital factors in that content are not properly working or being taken into account, such as the assets not actually mattering except determining what color you can fire.

If you repair the tangible assets and how they're calculated, and you factor that into the other things, you won't be met with such an illogical ending.

---

Being told "yes we are listening", is not all that helpful, especially since we saw the same in DA2.

My favorite moment was right before the final rush where Liara offers her gift.

I hadn't romanced Liara (or anyone) and found that one point especially touching. Liara's continual devotion to Shepard, and development as a character, peaks at that point. If there was an option to confess then and there I would've taken it. Not complaining though - just pointing out an emotional moment.

Sadly the ending sort of swept over that. Most of the game was really good, it's just highly colored by the last bit. The literal introduction of a deus ex machina and abrupt non-conclusion to everything offered no measure of satisfaction. It really wasn't needed when there were already three games full of choices to craft together a sequence of closure. Also, a tragic ending is fine, but I'd like to hear about it. I want to hear about the aftermath, the places, the squadmates, Shepard him/herself. All that.
