Christ, I finished ME3 a week ago and I just can't start a new game of ME1 anymore.. or play any of ME3's MP.
Nice franchise suicide.

Feels bad man.

No. They just have their cash in theri ears. If they add a better ending, theyll have even more to stuff in their ears...

These conspiracy theories that suspect BioWare and EA of purposefully upsetting people for money really tickles me the most.

Very pissed off at the end like many others. i selected the syntetics end because i taught it would be the best as i followed the full paragon path (AND STILL COULD NOT CHARM TIM IN THE END?!) ..

Please bioware, repair the ending, it litterary sucks... and i'm very disapointed on the end.

The overall game was amazing.. but again the end ruined it all... spent over 30 ingame hours to complete the awsome game, and then get this crappy end... really disapointing.

favourite scenes probably was

Ashley in the Hospital, Grunt covered in blood, Garrus Favourite place on the citadel, reuniting the quarians and the geth, Curing the genophage, rallying the fleet before the final battle, saving jack and her students.

And again, the ending sucked, just making that clear, so noone thinks just because i loved the rest of the game doesn't mean i liked the ending...

Everything from the opening of ME1 to the start of Priority:Earth was excellent, awesome and othe positive adjectives, P:Earth was okay, I'd have liked to see more of the effects of having joined the galaxy against the Reapers, but then the ending came and it was junk, would rather have had the epic final showdown with the reapers and some actual closure, not some rgb light show.

Agreed on all this. especailly that i no longer wish to run the game, not even the MP...

But with those ending, its just sad! i just want to put everything about Mass effect away and forget about it, i wanted to play over and over and i would even buy dlc`s, play online and everything, but now.. **** it:( i keep holding on to the -Indoctrination Theory- i dont want a ME4 i want closure, and more endings, i didnt play this game for 5 years to get pissed in the face like that, i love the series! Now give us what we want.

havent touched the game since completed it few days ago, which in itself means it didnt feel like a mass effect game, as with mass effect 1+2 the first thing you do is replay it and immerse yourself again. the cameo's of the squadmates we spent ages getting to know was just as big a mess as the ending.

Same for me. Mass Effect is out of my console, and I'm not sure if it'll go back in. I just can't bring myself to care with that ending. BioWare could make a really nihilistic argument with their ending - "Contrary to everything we've ever said, in the long run, your choices simply don't matter."

Best Indoctrination Theory support yet. This guy found stuff I never would have even thought of. Basically proves the theory. Bioware, if this wasn't what you were secretly going for, I'll be shocked

if this is true, and they planned this all along, its BRILIANT! Bioware would be GODS and masters of storymaking, and writing over all games.. If not, they can stay in H*ell, with there S*hitty writers.. I personaly have hope in this Theory, and think that its the only solution.

Chris,

I would love nothing more than to reminisce about an epic series and my many favorite parts of it and to extol the virtues of true choice-based storytelling in RPGs, and how it has redefined the genre.

But I can't.

The entire series was soured by the ending(s). And if we weren't promised the exact opposite of what you actually delivered, where our choices over three games and countless hours mattered and weren't completely invalidated by the nihilistic conclusion, I might be willing to swallow the bitter pill of artistic license and creative integrity. But even claiming that is a trite cop out for what should have been the most epic moment in RPG video game history. Instead, we find ourselves trying to come up with reasons to make ourselves feel less disenfranchised with the series in some futile attempt to redeem the colossal brainfart that represents it's final gasp before descending into video game infamy.

Fix the ending, and I'll be one of the first ones back here heaping praises upon Bioware for having enough sense to correct a franchise marring mistake.

The entire game was great. Ending too. Best piece of work ever. And yes, your choices mattered, or did you just not care to look?

Probably would have beaten this game 2 to 3 times already, but those endings made me sick to my stomach. There's not enough alcohol in this world to forget how terrible those endings were. To everyone that has been fighting for a change to those endings...Hold the line! And when we get those endings that we were promised, drinks are on me.

Is this true? If it is true and no ending fix, BW and EA will pay what you did on ME3.

I want to thank you guys at BioWare for an amazing trilogy. Despite all the controversy, I found all the games very fun to play.

I don't want the ending to be changed. It should be as the storywriters want it to be. However, I feel it wasn't explained to us, the players, in a clear manner. That was the failing.

It would be nice if there was an official "developer's commentary" type video explaining the final 15 minutes and the rationale behind it. That's all I want.

Umm No... It shouldn't need a Developer's Commentary to explain the end of a game...That is ridiculous. This should be explained in the game so everyone knows what lead to the events, not some Dev commentary that few will watch.

As Contrller_B stated above your comment, when you fail to support a rational ending this leads most to pick apart every aspect of the game to find resolution (or those that care/played from the first) and when that happens even the smallest flaw in the story comes to light. Where as if it was a story that followed the Flow and Continuity we wouldn't be here trying to rationalized what happened and try to get answers (never mind that the final game in a triology should not have or lead to more questions than when it started.) If ME3 was a one and done game, nothing prior, nothing after, then I can "believe" the wrap up.

As it stands, as a final in a trilogy it leaves a lot to be desired.  One thing that has been bugging me though (not you as you stat that you even want an explanation) - all the people that "love" the end - Have they played since ME1? <---Just curious. I can see ME3 standing on it's own as a single game (tried it with a New Shep play thru - no import, nothing) It just doesn't sit well with my ME1 imports...

ME3 was a great game, it really was. I'm nearly done with my second play-thru already... But those endings. I get that you guys wanted to keep Mass Effect memorable, but there would have been so many ways to do that without this. The fans are ripping into each other and you guys and swearing off all three games forever! It seriously wasn't considered that we'd want closure? That we'd be okay with not knowing what happened? I don't know if you all intended the ending to seem like a hallucination just to screw with us, but it definitely came off that way.

I love the games and, like I've mentioned, this one is no exception, but give us what we really want. Closure. We don't necessarily want a bright and shiny ending with Shepard and his/her love interest standing in a green meadow with birds chirping all around them and rainbows in the sky. I went into this game knowing that Shepard would die, it was just an obvious ending... But I figured it would be one of many. That if I did something wrong Shepard would die. I always held out hope that she might make it because that's what Shepard does. She (I play femshep, obviously) always survives the impossible. The endings as they stand now just feel like she gave up and took everything the creepy little space wizard child had to say at face value and limped along her merry way to three endings that seemingly destroy everything, no matter what!

Control the Reapers and you obviously turn into a freakin' husk right there. Synthesize everyone and destroy life as we know it, turning it into something completely different (but something that still seems to favor the reapers), or destroy them, thereby undoing all the work you put in with the Geth and helping EDI become more self aware and evolving. THEN you have hundreds of thousands - maybe millions - of aliens trapped in the Sol system when all the mass relays blow up in EVERY SINGLE ENDING. Really? And I'll not even talk about wth Joker and the Normandy were doing in a mass relay while Shepard is literally killing herself to do what she thinks will save everybody.

Deep breaths! You guys are amazing, obviously. Look how many of your loyal fans are now mad at you because of the ending of a VIDEO GAME, but while we get this is your baby, it's kind of ours too and if nothing else, SHEPARD as a character deserves more than this.

Ahh. I see. Closure. For a series that is to continue...right. Makes sense. The only thing that needs and will get closure is the Omega situation. Everything else is as it should be.
