Best & some of gaming's most awesome moments
0) The opening scene with Shepard Leaving Earth
1) Running around Palavin & it's visuals
2) Eve's Speech uniting the Krogan
3) Mordin's sacrifice and the Genophage Cure
4) Garrus & Shepard Snipe Off
5) Tali Reaching the Homeworld
6) Legion's Sacrifice
7) Ongoing romance dialogue so far I've only seen Tali & Liara
8) Grunt's survival.
9) Wrex London Recap
... Those were the best of 'em.
And a lot of were more of the early game.
The downer about the ending was the absence of familiar faces displayed in the ending live or die, the lack of option to 'save' anderson after everything expounded upon between him and Kahlee. The lack of epic last stand or at least an emotional end other than a simple death, and the vague transition from crew members with me to escaping on the Normandy.
I know it's not ending related, but I really would have liked to see more closure for Gianna, Shiala & Kal'Reegar of any of the Supporting Cast.

We united the galaxy, righted a few wrongs, lost some friends but right at the end there was no closure and we need some answers on our stranded crewmates.
My favorite bits included Thane's last wish was for shepherd's sins to be resolved, Ashley and Shepherd getting back together, all of the Wrex scenes and Mordin's passing. The fleets jumping into the sol system gave me goosebumps as well.

Haven't been able to have a favorite moment yet, my copy seems to be incomplete. For some reason it ends with Joker on some random planet and I'm left with more questions than answers.
Yeah, my disc is defective, too.
Mine too.

I was ready to replace MGS4 w/ ME3 as my fav game of all time. Then I saw the ending:crying:
Sufice it to say, MGS4 is still sitting on the top shelf. I think my ME3 is laying under the TV stand.
MGS4 truly had the best ending I ever saw. God, that fight between Liquid and Solid Snake was just so epic and emotional.

Tuchanka (Oh god how I love Tuchanka)
Anything to do with the citadel Hub.
I loved the first Mission with Eve and Mordin on the Salarian homeworld.
I mean, the game was executed perfectly, TTEH (then the ending happened)
but it's nice to get some official forum recognition.

Aside from the ending?
It was brilliant and had some of the strongest emotional moments I've ever experienced in a video game.
My highlights:
- Deciding to side with the Salarians or the Krogan and that Mordin moment - love how you guys handled that.
- Grunt emerging from that Rachni cave!
- The Geth vs Quarians conflict was epic.
- Good job instilling the mood of dread as the Reapers take over the galaxy
- Emergency Induction Port

I hope Bioware has some plan to improve the ending of the trilogy, because as it stands, I just can't muster the enthusiasm to care about a franchise I once loved.

""This isn't finished folks"". That would be enough for now.

But the game before the ending, is something I'm loving. So many great moments, the comedy, the tragedy, just the idea of building an army of allies to make one last stand worthy of remembrance, great stuff. I loved the Quarian/Geth section, particularly going through the consensus and the resolution with Tali and Legion. Mordin, dear god, Mordin, I got choked up there. Someone else might have gotten it wrong but Bioware got it right in those moments.
So far there is only one sentence which, to me, sums up my favourite part of ME3. "I am Urdnot Wrex and this is my planet!"

Very often they were contributing factors to my favorite moments, so that's probably the root of a lot of it right there.

Chris Bioware has outdone themselves with this one IMO. I love this trilogy and you guys have got to stick with this franchise, it is a huge part of my life now. Thanks my friend!
Now to the Liara stuff, God you guys nailed it. The dialog, the love scene, the date, and the tribute to Shep. Spot on. Liara is by far the most memorable character to me in this franchise. Thanks for that. I will be needin those blue children though.

In Mass Effect 2 I enjoyed being able to recruit a Geth (Legion). Thane and Zaeed are also some of my favorites. I didn't have as many 'Oh my God everything is going to die' moments as I did in Mass Effect 1 but I felt like I had a greater attachment to characters in 2 than I did in 1. Returning squaddies like Garrus only went higher in my books.
Mass Effect 3 had some cool moments as well. My favorite has got to be Grunt's miraculous reappearance at the end of the Rachni mission. I'm hoping that the debate on endings will resolve itself in similar fashion; at the moment when some think all is lost we are greeted with the very thing you never thought you would see and that you wanted to see most. Either way, the Mass Effect trilogy is my favorite series by far. Kudos for creating it. Kudos for creating Shepard and giving me something to think about when bored at uni! <3

I literally thought, during the goodbye scenes on Earth, that ME3 was Bioware's magnum opus. The perfect weaving of a story, characters, plot, gameplay. Emotional, epic, and sweeping. I thought every single one of my unrealistically high hopes for the game had been met and exceeded. ME 3 by its mere existance and near perfection elevated everything that happened in ME1 and ME2. I was quite literally trying to remember where I put my ME1 and 2 discs (I'm not a very organized human being) during the Anderson/Shepard scene at the end so I can do it all again from the beginning. Then that ending hit...
Although if I may... I don't understand the need to wait for others to finish the game. This is the spoilers section of the ME3 forums. People here have already finished the story, or don't care about plot-related details if they haven't.

i felt i should also add that Tali is my Favorite character in all 3 games. The Romance played out VERY well with her and i am more than pleased and impressed with how you all did it. That made the wait worth it. as one person said, the attention to detail you all had was VERY impressive. my only wish was that i got to have her for more of the game
now to my main complaint... with the ending it felt like a very very very hollow victory... pointless... and yes i did it!! ... but ..... well yeah. see all reasons presented before in the many posts,

Garrus and Shepard seeing who is the better shot (Infiltrator Shepard for the win).
Tali realizing she doesn't actually know how to live on a planet (that's how you do bittersweet).
Mordin is the very model of a scientist salarian (also a good example of bittersweet).
So many excellent moments that most of my Shepard's will never see to spare them an ending that...isn't (either a good example of bittersweet, or a good example of anything except bad writing).

Completely unashamed to admit that brought tears for me. A beautiful end to the Quarian/Geth conflict, and one of the greatest moments in the game.
