Thanks for the update, Chris. And just like almost everybody's saying: this game was -littered- with favorite moments. Except the ending. But not harping on that here. If I had to name 3:

1.) Garrus and Shepard hangin' out high above the Presidium, and Bioware giving me the option to let him win. AWE-SOME.

2.) The Tali Romance. The flirting during the dreadnought and Kaiden's mentioning it. The delcaration of love before the reaper orbital strike fight. And the quiet moment after, where Tali's picturing her new home. Just a wonderful amount of attention given to this, in my opinion.

3.) I thought Grunt was going to die. I knew he was. And then he didn't. I think I literally screamed: "Hell yeah!" when he came out bloody but alive.

Thresher Maw vs Reaper

What?!  Waking up next to Aria?  Punched by Jack, I never saw any of that stuff.

Lets see, my fav moments.

 - Tuchanka complete.  Tuchanka with Wrex and Mordin, have Garrus and Liara in your sqaud and it's pure win.
- Learning Legion's history, .  :crying:  LEGION!!!!
- Liara T'Soni when she shows you the time capsule.  Loved it.  Something Liara would do, and after ME2 when she was teh hardcore information broker seeing her sweet innocence again was great.
- Bromance with Garrus.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

When I see Bioware give appreciation to Shepard by having an optional ending where he lives and can be reunited with his crew and LI, maybe I'll tell you.

I agree

sorry the ending honestly killed it.  All I want to know is if that was the real ending, if so, good bye EA.   There is no 'explanation' that can make up for Shep passively agreeing with the reaper-child-god.

What would be the point of discussing it, though? No amount of discussion is going to erase everything that's wrong with the endings. The only thing you could possibly do right now is to announce "The Truth" (if it actually exists and if it's called that), but from the general tone of your post as well as the quote above it seems like this isn't gonna happen. I might be wrong of course. In my opinion, if you're not planning to release a free DLC with a new ending, you should just say so to give people who are still waiting for a miracle to happen at least some sort of closure.

Well I do feel quite sad for the current ending but kinda satisfied in a sense that it is pretty touching ending for our hero/heroine.
However I don't really like the epilogue which everyone gets stuck in some random planet.
First it kinda doesn't make sense, given that all squad mates were down on the earth.
Also I really wish to see the outcome of the whole event in a proper epilogue form which presents results of every choice I have made plus all the characters.

I hope ME story writers can work on it and update it as the form of patch NOT in the form of paid DLC.

C'mon BIoware! Javik has decided to help Liara to write mroe papers about Protheans!!

There were tons of moments but as for my favorite for the 3rd one, It'd have to be the bottle shooting competition with Garrus when I intentionally miss.

"I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite spot on the citadel."

Second would have to be when Tali is drunk in the Lounge. Is it an Emergency Induction Port? Or is it a Straw?

Thanks Chris and all the folks in the Social Media group. Thanks for once again reminding us that Bioware is listening.

I loved every bit and I do subscribe to the Indoctrination theory so I Im am 100% satisfied with what we have and can't wait to see what the future holds.

My favorite bits were Grissom Academy and Tuchanka. I loved Grissom Academy simply because Jack was funnier than, well, yeah. XD I wasn't the biggest fan of Jack, liked her well enough, but she really became something here. And I loved seeing her again. It was a great time. And Tuchanka! 8D Man, that was great.

I wish the missions had been longer, though. They felt short to me.

Favorite moment. That's a bit difficult to pinpoint as there were various moments I really liked in ME3 for varying reasons. Aside from romance scenes, which I felt were very well done, I particularly liked the Liara's Project scene. The music playing as Liara places this box in front of Shepard that shoots out a pillar of light while stars appear around the room is very wondrous to me. It was the first scene that really hit me on what a great game Mass Effect 3 is.

Going further than that, I liked the resolutions to the Tuchanka and Rannoch missions. Having Shepard give the krogan a better future and finally bringing peace to a 300 year conflict between the geth and quarians because I was able to do everything right was exactly what I was hoping for from this game.

The deaths of main characters, such as Thane and Mordin, were also very emotional to me and heartbreaking but the deaths I've seen were made as sacrifices for things these individuals believed in and wanted to protect. So even though I'm saddened to see them gone I take solace in the fact that they died protecting something they believe in.

Other things I liked: shooting bottles with Garrus, breaking Kai Leng's sword and giving him what he deserves, the sense of sorrow as Thessia falls to the Reapers and Javik's comments on the races of the galaxy.

There's really not a lot of "debate". It's everybody agreeing that the endings are heinous and BioWare saying "k gotcha".

Like many other commenters here, Mass Effect 3 was the perfect distillation of the first two games. "Epic" doesn't even begin to describe the combat, immersion, storytelling, relationships, character interactions... sheer perfection! The moment Thane dies and prayed for my Shep made me literally weep, but in one of the best and most moving ways I have ever felt when playing a game... sheer genius!

HOWEVER... even the "best" ending tore out my heart, and left me feeling the most empty and depressed I have perhaps ever felt. I literally felt sick, and that's why I was disappointed, as that's not why I play RPGs.

Everything up until the ending. Meeting Ashley and Kaidan again and having them back on the team stood out for me, though.

Chris, you know most of us loved your game immensely. What you guys did was one of the most profound and amazing experiences of my life as a gamer, and I want you to know that. However, the ending, as you already have heard many times before, was not the direction you should have taken. Unless you want to rectify it, or you've had it planned all along, you're going to have to live with the fact you crushed many gamers, put people into depressions, and destroyed most of the hardcore fans desires to continue onwards.

A great many people can't even beat the game twice because of the hopeless realization that in current canon, it was all for nothing.

Please, for the love of the spirits and everything else, work with us and craft a direction for the end that suits all gamers, and most importantly offers -choice- that reflects all of our actions through your games.

Oddly, my favouriate moment was the scene with Garrus on the citadel, shooting bottles

That might not be odd to you, but what surprised me was the way I came into it. Playing as FemShep, I liked Garrus, but kinda passively up till this point. He was a good friend in 1, and I took his injury in 2 hard... but the rapport between him and Shep here really shined for me. With Ash in hospital, and Liara focused on her new Shadowbroker duties, Garrus seemed like the soldier, the vet who has the scars of being with Shepard from the start.

Other characters fill that role, nd every companion shined, but Garrus makes it his own in this game, and this isn't coming from a prior fan. I'm not considering replaying ME2 to see the romance with him through (My current playthrough focused on continuing Shep's romance with Liara)

But every moment worked... until the end, I'm afraid. :( It's hard to pick a moment before that, but like so many others. Loved the game, hate the ending (Though I'm hoping for the indoctrination)

Chris, I appreciate this I really do but you have to understand the situation we're in. We are left with nothing but speculation and a sense that there is something left unsaid by BioWare with no date as to when more will be said.

It's very well and good to say 'give time for people to finish the game' but when is that? Without an ending in sight human nature tends to see an unknown point in the future as intolerably far away.

My resolve cracked and I started talking spoilers with a friend on Twitter today because of the real and growing sense that BioWare simply will not address this even to the point of giving us a 'due date' for actual conversation from BioWare.

Give us a ballpark, give us a date and I suspect many of us will respect that. Give us no reason to believe that our hopes are for anything and only a vague sense that maybe you'll say something in the future.

That's all I ask.

There is so much good about ME3 that it would take forever to get into it all.

It was the first game to make me cry. When Mordin started singing, I lost it.
Garrus
Tali drunk
Anything with Wrex
the thresher maw
the geth and the quarians
curing the genophage
getting punched by jack
the kaidan romance

just about everything up to the damned beam of light in london.  the entire thing was blown by that ending.  it was heartbreaking.

This question does not belong in a thread about the endings. If you want positive feedback, make a different thread. There are more than enough positive things to say about ME3, just not in the case of the endings.

You see that's not what we're expecting, we just want our choices to matter and for the tangible assets that people spent time building to also matter.

Some scene touch my heart. Example: Mordin's death, Legion's scarification, and more. However, these have been killed by the 10 minutes ending.

My favorite moments. All of them from ME1 to ME3... Even cried a few times in ME3.

But the ending.. destroyed it all. Can't muster up the joy to play this game ever again.

Well, you guys must of known that the ending as it is would result in a response that would overshadow nearly all other feedback. I must say, if the ending is literal, then it is broken. The plot holes and contrivances at the very end break this franchise for me. I can't even play ME1 without thinking about why the Catalyst doesn't just open the Citadel Relay.

Favourite bit was probably Liara's project, that was very touching.
