They were never listening. No changes of any kind...ever.
Amazing to watch a company delude itself by believing their own PR.
On the Mass Effect 3 endings. Yes, we are listening.

And by this new announcement and FAQ on your blog, it is clear you are NOT listening. You are a bunch of greedy, money-hungry liars ever since EA got their claws, paws, tentacles, whatever on you.
And it's sad. It's really sad.
So no, I don't want to give a big round of applause to Shepard. Shepard's dead. You put a bullet in the back of Shepard's head.

sadly i don't think bioware get it at all....you know learning what your customer really want is the key to successful business right? don't be stubborn about your " artistic vision". Make you fans happy and they will keep supporting you.

Ok, does that mean Bioware intended the ending to be nonsensical and basically impossible or that the indoctrination idea was intended?
I'm struggling to understand this press release.

Yeah the galaxy being destroyed and your actions not changing the end or altering it in anyway this triliogy was made around being able to decide things and have different actions or reactions to your choices that you make so knowing in the end the galaxy is screwed no matter what you do the normandy abandoning for no ****ing reason without knowing if you're dead or not and abandoing the other fleets to die or be stranded in space how in hells glorious name is any of that acceptable please try to make me understand

Though if i had to add anything since that seems to be all the rage, it would be nice to have some proper closure about certain things. ie state of citadel, companions etc

No, they were listening, they just weren't hearing what we were saying.
I guess to them we were just Charlie Brown's teacher.

If the indoctrination theory is not true and the ending is left to stand as is, this entire trilogy can go screw itself. I had hope that all these coincidences and impossibilities were INTENDED, but this is almost gone. I'm blown away, seriously.
The entire game and decision part of ME3 mean nothing and have no effect in the ending. Save Rachni?

So I wonder if they really were listening. I mean... there was a poll somewhere on the forum that clearly stated that the "new endings, the plotholes fixed and make the choises matter" option is most wanted. And I mean really really most votes, like several thousands of votes for it.
And to paraphrase words of one song:
We still had a lot of fun, please don't think all this comes from hate.
We fret about the ending, because want ME to be great.

Here is the blog detailing it. It still sounds bad. Just some extended cut scenes and an epilogue. To explain what? The type of berry that the crew lives on in the jungle? This sounds like bogus

and suddenly.. I'm starting to think that that "Mass Shift" leak may have been the real deal after all. since they seem to be adamant about destruction of relays and killing off Shepard....
I have to admit Mass Shift sounded superb

So, it sounds like they don't care about the different choices we've made over the last 2.5 games, we're still getting stuck with the 3 useless endings that don't take into account our actions, which has been the hallmark of this series, ie the ability to import our save game files from one game to the next. It's almost like they should've done away with that concept and only allowed us to play the default game because our ability to choose at the end doesn't mean jack****!

This new update means nothing if it does not offer SIGNIFICANT variations based on our choices and fixes every massive and minor plothole that every fan of Mass Effect can see spawned from this ending. Explain them in a rational way if you aren't changing anything, and do so without resorting to 'Space Magic' explanations. Then the fans will be pleased. Or at least more so.
