That is the title of this forum, obviously you are not listening coming out with that poor DLC as an answer for a god awful ending, truly pathetic, i expect this from some companies but not bioware, me and bioware are done.

Over 550 pages of feedback to Bioware who apparently listened but did not understand a word of it.
Congrats on your newly acquired ex-fanbase.

so amazing I just had to quote this lol ^^

I think most of the players who like or accept the ending are probably people who didn't play the entire triliogy or just wasn't invested in it like most of us who are hardcore fans of the series

Well will see if bioware really does listen or fall by the way side though it is begining to look that way

gomen I keep quoting this because of the harbinger comment lol

So I'm gonna repeat what pretty much everyone and their mother are saying: No, BioWare. You are not listening. We don't want clarification on the current ending. The current ending has plot holes you could drive the Destiny Ascension through, sir. Not to mention it's not what we've been promised. Where are my n+1 wildly different endings? Why are my War Assets not doing anything? Weren't they supposed to influence the battle? Where are my Krogan ground forces? What about the Geth dreadnoughts and the goddamn Quarian ships? Or what you really meant by 'your EMS influences your ending' was 'Joker kinda sorta mentions them before the final battle'? How does having a 5000 Effective Military Strength rating magically make Shepard live getting blown up and spaced again? I doubt turian ships dogfighting millions of kilometers away will somehow influence Shepard's resistance to re-entering the damn atmosphere. Where did the reaperchild come from? You didn't hint at its existence at all during the game. Why can't I reject the reaperchild's ****** circular logic? Why the hell did you introduce the 'synthetics vs. organics' plot right after having Legion tell us that no, GETH DO NOT WANT WAR WITH ORGANICS and that if they DO go to war, it's organics' own damn fault? Which, somehow, takes me to "where did the idea that 'Mass Effect is, like, totally about self-sacrifice. Because self-sacrifice is, like, deep and stuff, right?' come from?" Mass Effect is, intentionally or otherwise, about freedom of choice. From the player choosing their own adventure to the Geth and EDI wanting nothing more than the freedom to choose to the galactic community wanting the choice to not roll over and take it from the Reapers and fighting like hell for it.
Seriously. We don't want clarification on a plothole-ridden nonsensical so-called 'artistic' ending. We want what you promised us: different endings that are not A, B or C and that, you know, make sense. And preferably don't have plotholes we can drive the entire Galactic Forces through.

Honestly I don't think an "extended cut" is going to help much. Because everything we were fighting for is gone.

1) The citadel blew up. Let me repeat, the center of all galactic civilization, the place of all the refuges, BLEW. UP.

2)Nearly all the leaders of the various species were on Earth. My biggest concern is what's going to happen to the krogan and quarians now.

3) God Kid won't make any sense still.

4) The relays blew up. Assuming the explosion didn't kill everyone, they're still stranded. This means any colonies that haven't become self sufficient are dead, and basically the very basis of the mass effect world, the one that made is so unique, is gone.

5) We still have all choice wrenched from us as soon as we approach the beam. Why couldn't we argue with God Kid? Why couldn't we look for another way? This is SHEPARD we are talking about.

PLOT HOLES:
6) Harbinger's beam somehow didn't kill us? Ok I can live with that.

7)Harbinger just flys away? Ok...

8) Anderson?? Where did you come from??

9) ILLUSIVE MAN?? Where the heck were you hiding is in an OPEN CIRCULAR ROOM WITH ONE VISIBLE HALLWAY??

7) JOKER?! Why are you abandoning meeeeeee? ;A;

10) Assuming the flora on Plothole Planet isn't toxic like the stuff from Jacob's mission, we still have a problem with our dextro-amino characters. Either they can eat, and everyone else starves, or everyone else can eat, and Tali and Garrus starve.

This is all I could think of right now. Feel free to add on.

I was really starting to have hope with this thread. Too bad they, most definitely, we're NOT listening. How many people wanted new endings? More deserved endings? Just something that felt like the story could end. Take away the star child. Take away the pointless destruction of space travel. Even If Shepard "lives" it's still like the reapers won. We're back to being primitives without technology. And somehow if we choose to control them, the relays are still gone.

I feel like clarity was only wanted for the Normandy. Because why was Joker trying to escape? And what happens to the Normandy's crew now that they're crashed on this random planet.

And I just really don't think someone whose only played the third game should be able to have the same endings as someone whose played all of the games the game for hundreds of hours.

The definition of what it means to listen: To make an effort to hear something. To pay attention; heed.

Bioware has not, by any means, done this. At all.

So I get to thank bioware. Way back when they first posted this thread I said (not sure if it was on this one or another) that if they gave us a DLC that gave clarity, closure, the ability to argue wtih Starbrat, and more choice (allowing our decidions to matter again) I would not only buy every dlc they brought out, but I would also put a public apology on here, my facebook, and twitter. I would also go on their store and buy their messenger bag along with a new keyboard and/or mouse.

I was willing to spend several hundred dollars on their store for the sake of a fixed ending. Now, I am willing to wait till this DLC comes out and I hear about it from you all. But from what I've seen on the FAQ about it it looks like they dropped the ball completely...again.

So I get to save around $200- $300 dollars, plus I know they will drop the ball on DA3 so getting that is out.. wow

Thanks Bioware, your saving me TONS of money.

Thing is, you can't clarify such garbage and deus ex machina plot points. It's impossible. Clarification, no matter the extent, will not make sense.

Glad they are going this route

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

They are sticking to their guns... Sure they might lose one or two die hard fanatics but most of us will remain.

I've had time to think about it after finishing the game for the first time last night and being disappointed about the ending. Time has not done it justice, I just kept finding plotholes big enough to swallow planets. I've read most of the common ones so here's two I haven't seen mentioned, feedback is appreciated in case I missed something.

-The "Red" magic beam destroys all synthetic life. How does a beam know which is synthetic life and which is a VI? Or for that matter a ship? It's been explained before that the difference between an AI and a VI is programming. The starchild doesn't specify synthetics with Reaper tech like EDI or the upgraded Geth, just plain synthetics. So how does the beam choose between EDI with true AI and a security mech with VI? It doesn't make sense that a beam can target specific types of programming, which leaves only one sensible option. It's a galaxy-wide unblockable super EMP.....which means ALL tech gets fried. Everywhere. Computers, medical equipment, omnitools, communicators, ships. In this instance it's actually sensible Joker is running like hell.

-the starchild created the Reapers as the solution to stop synthetics from destroying their organic masters. So why did the Reapers ally with the Geth? They're the ones you're trying to stop, so your solution is to work with them to destroy their creators after the creation is already done? Would it not be far more efficient to send the Reapers after confirmed synthetic life? The organics of the galaxy learned pretty quickly to not make AI after the Geth rebelled. They would learn a LOT quicker if that also caused incredibly advanced doomships to appear out of nowhere to destroy them. And it's a lot easier to destroy one group of synthetics when they pop up than it is all advanced life every 50k years.

Don't see how an extended ending will resolve those, but I did promise on my last post to give them a chance if they announced an add-on so I'll wait and see.

How is it possible that I, who is not english speaking, can understand what everybody here is saying and they cannot?

Well... I doubt Bioware will lose most of their base core fans... I mean, their customers... But they will surely lose me, at least... I won't buy anything else from this company...

If they don't make OTHERS endings, "Goodbye and farewell"

I don't hate the ending, i don't really accept it neither, and yes i played the entire trilogy, like 5 times the first, 4 the second, twice the last.

It's not because some people don't agree on some fans points out that they are not truelly fans, i mean come on, respect opinion of anyone as long as anyone respect yours, not that hard.

If people are happy with the ending, good for them, if some are not, too bad and i can understand too, period.

At least wait tomorrow to see what will be said, in addition to this news, it's a start.

Here's the thing, the clarification in my eyes is most likely that the IT is true...and that is still going to ****** off everyone who is currently pissed off because it still means that ALL those choices over 2.9 games still add up to squat.

They only "need' to make a few different scenario "clarifications" (meaning tell you what happened if Shep was indoc'd, if Shep died during indoc, or what happened if Shep fought off indoc and breathed at least once.

That's it, unfortunately.

And showing just how arrogant they are.  After the entire ending making almost no sense and people shot through like swiss chees, they stand by utter failure.
