I don't hate the ending, i don't really accept it neither, and yes i played the entire trilogy, like 5 times the first, 4 the second, twice the last.

It's not because some people don't agree on some fans points out that they are not truelly fans, i mean come on, respect opinion of anyone as long as anyone respect yours, not that hard.

If people are happy with the ending, good for them, if some are not, too bad and i can understand too, period.

At least wait tomorrow to see what will be said, in addition to this news, it's a start.

they have had little to no word for a month after screwing us over I'm sorry if I can't be exactly smiles and a cup of tea about that

And yet they told you something before they said they would............Being upset is all well and good but it isnt like they didnt say when they would make an announcement.

lieing to the gamingt community and to a huge fanbase before the game comes out and then getting all the bs after it was released their is really no excuse for that don't say anything if you can't back the **** up and that is why bioware has failed

Lie?????? what lie? The 16 ending thing????? Are you sure thats a lie? Depending on who is still a live and what not means there would be more than 16.  But thats just semantics I will readly admit they should do something to the pin head who said that.

Man, you are all hopped up on that Bioware Kool Aid.  Step back from the cup and think to yourself "Does any of this make any sense WHATSOEVER?"  If you paid any attention throughout the entire trilogy, I don't know how you can answer yes to that question.

So, Bioware decided to stick with an "artistic vision"?

Well, Mass Effect is dead.
All three games are going to a place where other disposable, forgettable games reside.

It was a fun ride while it lasted until the abrupt heart-rending realization of how much time was wasted with ME universe. That was artistically done indeed. Gratz.
You really excelled in shifting developer priorities from telling good stories to danbrownesque speculative nonsensical fiction.

It was not about lack of closure, or plot holes or understanding the ending.

It was about lying to fans. You promised and didn't deliver, hiding behind vague statements about artistic integrity.

And I have had so much fun watching almost each of ME3 writer who was interviewed pre-release stripped of their mantles, so to speak, I might vomit.

Agreed.

Mass Effect will only be remembered now as a game to compare other terrible endings to.  It will be recalled in derisive comments between gamers about bad writing, plot holes, lies, and failures.

right. now plotholes are artistic vision.

Tey they just told you they were filling those in with an extended cut.

How do you fill in bad writing, lies, and failures?  Plot holes, maybe, but just with more BS.

Psst! Troll! Don't feed it!

Ok, so to basically state the obvious...No Bioware you are nto listening...we don't care about the artistic integrity you all want to maintain...we want a flat out new ending. Not some poshy DLC that explains things...it's a plus, but not what we want...your just going to make fans mroe annoyed and angrier with this...oh and by the ways...

http://pastebin.com/ifPPbeTp

please give a response to this. If it's real you might as well just tell everyone about ti and appease the crowds.

Hearing is simply the act of perceiving sound by the ear.

Listening, however, is something you consciously choose to do. Listening requires concentration so that your brain processes meaning from words and sentences. Listening leads to learning.

You are hearing not listening...

Glad they are going this route

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

They are sticking to their guns... Sure they might lose one or two die hard fanatics but most of us will remain.

And showing just how arrogant they are.  After the entire ending making almost no sense and people shot through like swiss chees, they stand by utter failure.

Psst! Don't feed the troll!

Yes . Dont reply to that troll. Ignore him. He is not worthy of any logic.

This thread is proof that most of you are mad cause Shep bites it in the end and the relays go boom. Cause if the extended cut is there to fill in the plot holes thats all that left to complain about. Well that and what that guy said that wasn't to bright.

so amazing I just had to quote this lol ^^

I think most of the players who like or accept the ending are probably people who didn't play the entire triliogy or just wasn't invested in it like most of us who are hardcore fans of the series

Well will see if bioware really does listen or fall by the way side though it is begining to look that way

gomen I keep quoting this because of the harbinger comment lol

Harbringer says:
"Oh what's that god child?  Ok, I'll let him go, he needs to know the truth.  Ammo is an illusion, like all the choices you made thus far Shepard!"

Harbinger Ea: you know your loss of money hurts you

Harbinger: We will know harvest all your money and your souls Muhahaha

Player: ****s you guys I'm done taking this bull****

Harbinger: Releasing control

I'm very disappointed in Bioware's response. All this "we are listening" and in the end we get a rat ass. Some explanations. No one needs your explanations, we needed a new ending, but I guess that just not going to happen. Oh well, time to get back to Skyrim and Bethesda, the company that really IS LISTENING TO THE FANS.

Dear Bioware;

Listening is one thing, actively hearing and understanding is another. Whilst I don't mean to be disrespectful given the joys I've had as a gamer exploring your stories and your worlds, the published FAQ regarding 'clarification' is not only insulting but highly arrogant to your fans, or to put it more correctly, customers.

Whilst I don't feel this situation will ever be resolved satisfactorially, I do believe that hiding behind 'artistic integrity' smacks of desperation at the fact that between hyperbolic pre-release PR and the final reveal, you have been caught with your pants down and don't actually have any way out of the hole as there is no significant funding to account for the time and costs it would require to actually fix the endings.

As such, please be aware I myself will no longer have the time or money to purchase any of your further products.

Thanks for your time.

No, Bioware, clearly you didn't listen.

Thanks all the same, it must have been so hard for all of you to pool your resources and find a way to solve all the burning questions of the fans.

I will only say that you have disappointed me greatly twice in a row, and the final straw was in the way you ended my journey in the Mass Effect universe. There are no words out there that can adequately express the disappointment in the way you ended it, and there are no words to adequately express the betrayal I felt.

Clearly your games are aimed at a different sort of player, and thank you for the games you used to make, but I shall never buy another one from you. Truly, disappointing.

I was just saying that despite the end is not really what i expected (no more Dark Energy problem), and weird events like the Normandy flying away, i'm still considering to see why they stick so much to their ending. It's not like we can judge now just because it's not the fixed ending a big part of the fanbase expected, that i agreed.. just don't think because i think its actually fine for me that i'm not a fan. I might as well still be confused after this DLC.

Clearly as I thought. You were not listening and had NO intention of listening. Don't worry you won't' have to listen anymore because you will have no more fans to listen to.

Trololollll.....you can't explain the massive plotholes opened by the ending. And when I say ending, I mean everything that happened from the end of the Cerberus mission to the Stargazer scene.

Here's a sampling of what they need to "clarify":

1. How did TiM "tell" the Reapers that the Catalyst was in fact the Citadel?

2. How did the Reapers move the Citadel and why would they bring it TO Earth?

3. Why was a beam opened up for Shepard to run thru?

4. How did TiM get on the Citadel and how did he survive or handle the closing of the Citadel arms?

5. Just what exactly is the Holographic Child we spoke to? An AI, a VI? A God? A person from 1 million years who programmed a VI to look like a child that Shepard had once seen? Just....what the heck happened once Shepard was taken up on that white platform?

6. How did the Crucible scientists build those 3 "options"? Were they not aware of what they were building even tho they were building it?

7. Why is the destroy option executed by shooting a tube of wires?

8. How can Shepard control the Reapers after he clearly disentegrates while clutching the control options?

9. Why was the synthesis ending marketed as the perfect ending? Wouldn't a typical ME fan believe that the perfect ending includes Shepard's survival?

That's only 9 questions....I don't have time to list the other 30. The ending is indefensible as it stands now.....

Interesting. If this is true, I wonder if there is a way to free Bioware from contract. This would also explain DA2. Speak to us Bioware!

I am crushed right now. All the dedication and passion we've poured into this forum providing feedback was for nothing. Instead we only get "clarification" when we've clearly been asking for a different ending. It's been stated here time and time again. Just wow. What happened to you Bioware? How is this considered listening to us?
