we were owed a extended cut simply because they didn't fufill they're original promise from the start despite some of us wanting a different ending and or closure

"We listen to them on the forums, their feedback from stories. We're reading it all. If we can get ideas out of it that will make the game better, sure. We're not adverse to taking feedback. That's part of our core values, is humility. Any time we get a good idea from fans... they're our audience. They keep us in business."
Ray Muzyka

Really, if you ****s were actually reading you would find that 80% of people absolutely loathed the ending. And that's putting it nicely.!
Now, get off your ****3$ and give us the ending we deserve. No compromises, no bs about "artistic integrity" and sure as hell no fking "god child" **** like you pulled last time. The end and nigh and either you'll repent or you will pay!

@thanatos144 ok so I guess the ending isn't at all important at the end of the trilogy

It endied just fine. The story was awesome. It was edited like crap.  I didnt think I was owed a extended cut  though.

I guess you just didn't care about your choices affecting the ending

Its not a broken ending! lol its a to be continued without actually saying it. Its sly and clever. I think its just way ahead of its time. Think about it. Play the games 1 thru 3. Choices do matter in the game but not the end, because it is still not the end. "Tell me one more story about the Shepard."

ahh that could be a sly way of putting it the choices don't affect the end because it is not the end lol hmm that could be right but yes thanatos original promises were not kept so that alone is a damning move other then a ending that lacks a lot of logic to alot of fans and has ending leaving half of the fanbase not liking it

Shepard was being Indoctrinated and you will only be able to import your character to mass effect 4 if you picked the ending to Destroy all synthetic life. You wake up in the rubble before the portal to the crucible and you are the first to survive an Indoctrination attempt. Oily Shadows. Hallucinating the little boy nobody else saw. That's what I think on that.

Yeah....I'm good to go on that idea....if Bioware come out with that I'd be happy......all I want is for stuff to make sense.

Im a writer. I know what they are doing because I payed attention. Like when the Rachni Queen Describes seeing oily shadows and having strange dreams, now you have them and what? you find the rachni queen a frankenstien reaper brought back from the dead. Who else came back from the dead? Shepard. 2 years of death.

The main difference between you and Bioware is that you are presently making sense....I like that.....I read some where leaked DLC plans and the story continues a little differently but it makes sense......the IT plot, again makes sense.............but right now,the current MASS3 makes no sense at all,it's slapped together, rushed and offers nothing but universal doomsday.

YOUR ENDING IS BETTER,BLUE BABIES IS BETTER....and my PLEASURE PLANET ending is better....make em happen Bioware.lol.

It doesn't matter if this is the last story or not. The events in the last 10 minutes do not make sense - call it ending or whatever. Unless IT (hmm... Truth DLC?) is right. But honestly, IT sounds no more convincing than any other conspiracy theory.

I took that last quote as  a means of BioWare and EA saying hey look, we can afford to get Buzz Aldrin to VO for our game and tell players to buy DLC.

you are overcomplicating things.

this IS the ending and one more story is the intro to buying more pre ending DLC's .  notice where the game dumps Shepard after it.  RIGHT before the Chronos station mission.

they just took the Varric/Cassandra dynamic "you didn't tell me everything dwarf" and clumsily added it to ME3.

With all the news coverage on this, you'd think that BioWare would get of their ases and do what they promised and give us the ending this series deserves.

Even if IT turns out to be correct. What will it prove? Right, that BioWare sold unfinished game. Imagine the ****storm that this fact alone will cause.

Well, I can imagine that each squadmate, enemy, weapon, armor, side quest, ending branch is a separate DLC. That would be interesting business decision and developers are absolutely entitled to decide how they sell the game. But they must not lie. The fact that the game is sold in pieces must be clearly disclosed before receiving my money.

The facts are there if you pay attention. Why else would you be in your armor, then out of it after the blast in casual clothes? Gunshot to Anderson yet you have the wound? Remember saren? He is the middle choice. The writer(s) wanted people to think. its a mind**** like fight club or donnie darko. You have to sift through information to understand it instead of having it spoon fed to you. Why do you think everything is put in your journal? so you can read it.

If they tell EA to go back hell where they were spawned and change the ending themselves, then there is still hope, if not, then everyone is doomed to a fiery torment from which there is no return.

BioWare this is your fault, regardless if EA has a knife to your throats. Just spit in their eyes and tell them to kiss it, and do what the fans arew expecting of you.

I know very well all the arguments in favor of IT. And I do find them convincing. Still:

  • conspiracy theories usually prove to be wrong
  • selling unfinished game that was advertised as complete would constitute a lie
  • thye would choose a bit different PR strategy (IMHO) if they had an ace in the sleeve

Son of a... Mass Effect 1, Kepler Verge, Newton system, planet Klencory. Eccentric Volus billionaire is seeking the "lost crypts of beings of light." These entities were supposedly created at the dawn of time to protect organic life from synthetic "machine devils."

I guess the ending actually is foreshadowed. Granted, Deus Ex Machina is still more of a villain than anyone else in the series.

I think "machine devils" = Reapers, not this synthetic vs. organic conflict nonsense that starchild mumbles about.

Except that that ending was canned long before release, and also sucked.  Although, I do like a mix of both endings.  Originally, Reapers were trying to save the galaxy from Dark Matter, until Deus Ex Machina took them over, and began forcing them to exterminate organics every 50,000 years as part of his solution.  Then the player kills Deus Ex Machina, and all the reapers die.  Dark Matter is still an issue, but no one cares, because the Reapers are gone, and you can have another game focusing on that.

Why the reapers reaped is a secondary question. It is OK if there is no answer to that. The closure on the fate of friends/teammates, Earth, other planets, humans, other species, Geth, etc is more important.

And there better be lack of choices in the very end - the choice should have been determined by the whole previous history of actions, that would add enormous replayability to the game.

I just want to take a moment to say thanks to all you folks for stickin by your guns and letting your voices be heard during this debacle. You are a truely loyal fanbase and i'm proud to be in this fight with you. If they think this whole thing will just blow over and be forgotten, whether or not an extended cut makes sense out of all this senselessness, they have another thing coming.

HOLD THE LINE!!!!

this ending was still to be the ending when the lead writer left after ME2, so how can this ending have been foreshadowed.

Personally, I like the heavy choice that must be made. sacrificing an entire civilisation or save them, and possibly doom the universe.
