What was your favorite moment?

This question does not belong in a thread about the endings. If you want positive feedback, make a different thread. There are more than enough positive things to say about ME3, just not in the case of the endings.

This.

I loved the whole game, including the ending. Some of my favorite moments include drunk Tali, Garrus and Tali getting it on, and really the entire mission on earth. By the time you are going down the corridor saying goodbye to everyone . . . whew, so emotional! As far as the ending is concerned, I liked it. I obviously have lots of questions, but to me that is a good thing. I can't wait to see what happens next in the Mass Effect world . . . it seems like the future is open with incredible possibility, now that the cycle is broken in one way or another. Good work guys, after nearly 25 years of playing video games, the Mass Effect series now ranks as my favorite game series of all time. I'll be (maybe not so patiently) waiting for the next chapter!

I've been playing PC games since the original Wing Commander and I have to say that Mass Effect 3 was in my top three. The deaths of ME2 squadmates was very well done as you had built them up so well. Other fave moments, meeting Garrus again, Brokering a peace between the Quarian's and the Geth, Tali drunk in the bar and EDI's joke about the air recycling and the look on Shep's face. It was a hell of a ride... until the horse fell on the last fence... so very un-Bioware:)

Oh Mordin, his death will go down to one of the most epic heroic deeds for me in videogames ever.

So many great moments and I love that you used the books for alot of stuff. Keng was insane!

About the endings, I liked the Catalyst, maybe not the form, but the idea of the collective reaper mind. But I would really had wanted to see a fight against Harbringer? Why was he so silent through the game? Why make such a great villian and then just forget about him?

It was pure brilliance.

Until the ending.

I could write a lot of words, but, well, brevity is the soul of wit.

Nearly a week after finishing the game, I am still unable to conceive of how the team that created the first 99% of the game also created the last 1%.

The amount of great moments makes the end all the more a let down. It is clearly the best game in the series until the end. I was mildly disappointed with ME2's end. Now I appreciate it much, much more I guess.

Haven't been able to have a favorite moment yet, my copy seems to be incomplete. For some reason it ends with Joker on some random planet and I'm left with more questions than answers.

Yeah, my disc is defective, too.

Mine too. :(

Gee, manufacturing really dropped the ball.:innocent:

Wow even my digital copy from Origin is defective.

Dear Chris

I sincerely ask you to look at this thread, and take it to the account when time comes to address ME3 ending controversy. This is the only point hallucination/indoctrination theory cannot answer and the only thing keeping them at bad writing bay.

Witl all respect to people responsible for 99% of ME3.

You guys at BioWare must be sick of people complaining about the end. But thats how it is. The end makes all the awesome moments of all 3 games pointless.

Speaking of which:

- The walk to the last mission with the opportunity to talk to every squadmate there has been. I loved that.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

Thanks for your response! I've loved the game very deeply, and I appreciate all of the work that you guys put into it. While there was much that I adored about the game, I really loved how you guys handled the Kaidan romance. It was touching and well done.

Favourite bits? More than a few, including (but not limited to) Grunt charging off at the end of the Rachni mission, then him turning up heavily battered just before you leave - I thought he'd gone and had a proper warrior's death, and then he stumbled out of the cave, Mordin's final words on Tuchanka, meeting Miranda again (yes, I think she should have had more of a role, but at least what there was was good), especially the final conversation via vidcom on earth.

Worst bits? Everything past the run for the transport beam to the citadel, and not being able to put Kai Leng down hard on Thessia.

I have started playing ME, after ME3 demo in Origin. I played the first part, then the second and finally was waiting for the third. That was the game that made me "to play with soul". I love games, but this one got my heart forever. When the story finished, i was nearly crying, because i didn't want it to finish like that. My friends on unknown planet, alone, without any tech, no Relays, nothing about fates of others...
That's not the ending that the game deserves!

But i'm grateful to you for the time, that i spent in this game!

While not everything, this is a pretty good summary of why the ending sucks. You took an easy goty, and made me regret ever having played it. It is the worst ending in the history of videogames.

As for the good parts
Mordin's death and Garrus/Shep bro time at the citadel were my 2 favorite parts of the entire series.

Guys, the question was 'what was your favourite moment?', not 'what was your least favourite moment?'. Plenty of other threads to talk about that stuff.

Personally, I liked the triumphant return of the original Mass Effect theme music, as the fleets assemble...

I liked the friendly banter with Garrus, who joins DA;O's Alistair as 'videogame characters I would actually want to be mates with'...

And I really, really liked killing Kai Leng.

Almost all of it was simply amazing in my opinion. My only complaints are the ending, go figure, and that I would have liked a bit more Jack, Kasumi and Miranda scenes, but we can't have them all eh. Actually got so panicked when I picked the "Wrong" choice in the Geth/Quarian conflict that I had to restart from my last save over 30 minutes back to do it again, if that isn't a compliment to a game I don't know what is. Also, thanks for the posts, it's nice to see them even if you can't say much at the moment.

Loved the game, ending is confusing and badly written considering its the last game to feature Shepard and Im guessing a majority or all of those characters featured.

Mass effect 3 could have been the most epic game of all times, you could have nailed it. I just dont see why the ending was ruined.. this triology lifted me up, made me feel good of what I had accomplished during the game. But the ending made me feel depressed and I will quote from someone else on this forum: It felt like someone close to me just died, and I dont mean cause shepard died, but because the ending was ruined.

You could have nailed it. Thats why you should patch the ending..for your own sake and for your players.

What I loved most of the game..friendship with Garrus the Archangel.

Getting goosebumps relieving all the best moments of the ME series, from ME1 to ME3, while listening to M4 Part II :) that song gave me goosebumps and made me replay ME1 minutes after I finished it!

Every single moment prior to the last 10 minutes was breathtakingly epic.  The story, the characters, the depth, the hope, the joy, the sadness.. I loved every moment I spent with my Shepard and the crew.  I've never played a more immersive game.

The disappointment from the ending has been soul crushingly depressing, and that has tainted my good memories, but I do have hope that it will be addressed at some point in the near future.

I've loved the entire series since day 1 of Mass Effect releas. Bought an Xbox just to play mass effect.

ME 3 was gorgeous and lived up to nearly all my expectations. Liara romance resolution was satisfying, crew interaction was well done, the deaths were hard but not trivial etc.

Loved all of it except the end but I'm hanging on to my saved games because I'm convinced you guys are up to something.
