Still no words on any announcement i see.

That "we are listening" is starting to look like an amazing tactic to simply divert people.

And me, im wondering how long itll take till someone mods something into this ending. Since thats obviously the only way anyone who hates the ending will get any satisfaction.

Me? Im just here for the multiplayer dlc announcement, the one thatll make people go ape**** XD

That and to see if that announcement will adress something im interested in, which basically is to see if BW says something about all the lies they fed us.

You are right. It's a diversion to deflect our reaction. Bioware had learnt its lesson from E A very well.

I'll be honest, the game was pretty cool until the end, you never faced Harbringer for starters (in Mass effect 3)

The endings were good. Do not change them please.

People are essentially upset that the endings raised questions that it did not answer. Well, if they'd been paying more attention they'd have realized the answer to almost all of them. Not everything needs to be fully spelled out, and what's great about the way it ended. It is obviously forcing everyone to ask questions. It's not BioWare who is lazy here, it's the players. They just weren't paying close enough attention, sorry to say.

Their choices weren't respected, supposedly, in a game where its impossible to talk to another player because the story along the way is radically different based upon each choice throughout all the games. They all converge to a bunch of endings- but there are 6 of them. That's not enough choice? I don't know what more they want.

Considering the literal pages dedicated to analyzing the ending you can't say no one is asking questions.

Also, if I have 6 shades of blue after being promised a full rainbow I have every right to complain.

Yeah blue may be my favorite color but I paid for the full rainbow you told me I would get.  By not giving me that rainbow that I paid $80 for and making it so I can't reture or resell it you have in fact stolen money from me and I will make sure you don't get any more money from me,my friends,or my family.

There are lots of gaming companies out there you need US a lot more then we need you.

Hold the line people.

@Xerkysz: I am truly happy you enjoyed the endings.

Feel free to theorize all you want, but this is not about Indoctrination theories any more.
This is about a company so stuck in it's ways they don't see what is happening. The time to stop is now... not later... it could actually be too late already. This whole issue have gone too far.

Don't think for a minute that this haven't reached EA heads at this point.

Yeah whatever, Bioware

"we are listening" =/= "we care what you think"

I can "listen" to people complain all day... it still doesn't mean I give a sh!t.

The ending is just disappointing...

Every single solitary moment with Garrus...in the romance or out of it. The "remember one thing...I took the kill shot" and the bit at the end where Garrus and Shepard agree to be together forever, even in the afterlife. I loved that.

I loved how after each mission, there was a little bit of commentary from the crew. I loved that the crew moved around the ship and talked to each other that was awesome.

I loved the cameos of our old Squaddies. Even when they were sacrificing themselves. Brilliant.

I loved the friendships I could build irrespective of my romance. I loved that we got scenes with the friends and the LI. The chess, the drinking, the horrible Shep dancing...I loved the new characters we met...Eve! and Primarch!

I loved EDI and Joker! They were great, separately and together.

I loved that I could broker peace across the galaxy. I loved that Shepard shared my views on what it means to be alive.

I love that the game is smart. I love that it hurts. I love the enormity of it all. I loved it when Shepard starting feeling the overwhelming stress and her squaddies (GARRUS!!!) talked to her about it. I loved every minute with Liara.

I thought Javik was absolutely fascinating. Brilliant.

I loved Conrad Verner. He had a great cameo.

I loved the m/m and f/f romances. I am already going to do another playthrough now as a dude because of it.

I will say this...if you ever rerelease a HD version of ME1 (WHICH YOU SHOULD) and patch in the m/m romance, I would pay for that. I totally would.

I loved how Allers' plotline worked. I loved that we used media to our benefit.

I loved how we finally meet the characters I adored from the books. I loved how the stuff I read in the comics was introduced here. (Aria!)

I loved every single moment with Anderson. Our last moments with him were fantastic.

I loved Hackett, too. He was fantastic.

I can't name a favourite moment because every single moment from getting dropped onto Eden Prime right til just after Anderson died was my favourite moment.

Then I get to the end. And I am not ragey. Just disappointed. I felt like there was one curtain and all that changed was seventeen different colours of trim. I wouldn't have minded if ending one was: sacrifice self to destroy reapers, ending two was: Shepard loses. Reapers win, no hope!, and ending three was deal with the devil...Shepard gets the Reapers to go back into dark space in exchange for sabotaging the future or whatever. Or something. As long as it was different.

I also would have liked to know what happened to my Squaddies. Like an epilogue thing. Unless we're gonna find out in DLC and that's the hold up. Either way, I'd like to know. Did Miranda make it? Is Jack still being awesome somewhere? Yanno. Aside from the four characters we see at the crash site of the Normandy.

Thanks for the response Chris -- still holding cards I see.  Is the little Devil at the bottom a representation of whatever devious DLC you have planned?

You were quite a bit more subtle about it than Square's "To Be Continued" FFXIII-2 ending, but I still got the message.  At least that's how I'm viewing it until proved otherwise.

In response to your question:

Every moment of the game up to the last 10-20 minutes was very satisfying.

You provided screen time or relevant "emails" updating us on almost every significant NPC we might have interacted with in all three games and updated us on the current status of all of them during the war.

You provided some epic and emotional tragedy with Mordin, Legion, and the Asari homeworld.

You made me feel sorry for the Geth and furious with Cerberus and Leng.

The combat mechanics are quite engaging and the multi-player is surprising addictive.

Now for the complaints:

Graphical hiccups in cutscenes abound which negatively impacts immersion.  Jumping characters and other oddities (on the PS3) can be fixed with patches, I hope you do so.

The Tali face issue was lazy, I've seen plenty of well done ME art.  This struck me as an odd place to just grab something off Getty.

The requirement for 4000 EMS for the "secret" shepard lives to fight again ending is dirty fighting.  As far a I can tell, to accomplish it with out multi-player, I have to play a near perfect game through all three ME titles or I can play MP for 4-5 hours.  Mean.   Of course MP is not boring, but I feel for those who refuse to buy Xbox Live or are in a position where MP is nigh impossible (Satellite/Cellular internet).

DLC is obviously profitable, but Spectre packs are such an obvious cash-in that a cynic would see them as the entire reason MP exists at all.

A DLC ending is along the same lines.  Back before DLC we had expansion packs.  I don't remember the industry or you refraining from proper denouement or epilogue then, why cave to marketing tricks now that the medium has changed to DLC?

With both you and Square following this pattern it's only a matter of time before Atlas (RPG's galore), Sega (Valkyria Chronicles), and others follow suit.

Valkyria Chronicles, is that really the last (s)rpg I played with a proper epilogue? How long ago was that?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... Oh boy. Only reason I'm laughing so hard about all this nonsense is that it's better than crying.

I hope you guys enjoy your boycott. Dragon Age 3? Yeah good luck with that.

By the way does anyone know if you can return games purchased from Origin and get a refund?

Just finshed me3 with over 7000 war point things and what I saw amounted to a to be continude wich realy anoid me I hoped the ending would have had a litle bit more to it like shep and his or her love interest being together at the end not a shot of sheps chest plate making a small noise to indicate he/she is still there that kind of thing is ment for a game with a continuation to come and bioware said this is it for shep.
other than that grate game every thing was perfict NO EPIC!!!! until the end Posted Image

p.s if bioware actualy are listening any chance of an ending were you convince the catalist to destroy the reapers using the geth and the quarien's paragon ending as a point to argue for sinthetic and organic life to live together leting whats left of the galaxy evolve on it's own.

p.p.s am in a rush so no mocking gramer please

Don't give us this "We don't want to spoil things for people who aren't done BS.  How about a straight answer about where all the many and varied endings we were promised went?

This.

What happened to all the talk about "no bespoke ending that everyone gets"? What happened to "no shoehorning into ending A, B or C"?

Oh, well, see, they didn't shoehorn us into A, B, or C.  They shoe-horned us into 16 variations of A, B, or C that have only superificial differences and an inconclusive five-second plot twist.

The plot twist was a whole 5 seconds? I call shennanigans. ^_^

I may have exaggerated because I just can't wrap my mind around a .5 second clip.

I had a great time playing ME3, almost everything was perfect. The Plot was awesome (except the ending, sorry guys but you messed this one up :( ), my favourite moment was, when I rammed my omnitool blade in kai lengs body with the words "This is for Thane you bastard", I felt like OMG what a move :P.

But as most of the other community members already said, the ending blew away all good memories of the game and replaced them with sadness, rage and a bit of desperation.

You've done a great job designing the game and there were a lot of parts, where you really got through and improved the game, so we had the feeling that you were listening ... that's why the ending is such a letdown for most of the ME3 fans.

We didn't see this coming, because the whole story was the epic one we knew from the previous MEs, you closed some loose ends like the genophage, the war between quarians and geth...

I'm curious :) what's your next step, I'm still pretty optimistic that you won't let us down.

PS: Cmon guys, they gave us 2 3/4 epic games, it's a bit unfair to judge them just because of the ending, have some faith, the game is only  1 week old.
And don't forget "HOLD THE LINE" but be civil :)

Thanks for listening, hope you'll understand it too :)

As a hardcorefan i ordered my CE already in July 2011 and resisted every trailer, screenshotgallery and storyleak... with success. I spend weeks just to have a perfect save for ME3.
Over here, in germany, there was pure chaos at Amazon because they couldnt handle all the customers. It has been a real state of emergency in every forum.
It has been hard not to just grab my edition out of the postmans hands and flush him out of the next airlock because it took him until the middle of the day to arrive :P
So my first happiest moment was when i started unpacking my CE :o And everything went smoothly. Until i couldnt import my ME2 character face
Whatever, i just created a similar one (took a few times, but i could live with that) The next 2-3 days have been full of amazing emotions. Good and bad ones.
When i heard that Kelly Chambers just got shot by Cerberus, it almost made me cry. Fortunately i still had some Cerberus bases to blow up, so i could get my revenge
The scene with Garrus and Shepard on top of the presidium made me laugh so hard  I loved it
The reunification with Miranda has been so cute and when Kai Leng ambushed her it realy shocked me. I guess i never slaughtered so many Husks within such a short time, just to get into this room (pure krogan style)
Now that i mention the krogans: Grunt, damn funny as usual, he has always been my favorite krogan and personal ME Chewbacca :P  I didnt know if i should cry or laugh hard when Mordin died, singing his own version of Gilbert&Sullivan. One of my favorite moments from ME2, thanks for making him sing it again.
When the fleet arrived at earth and opened fire, i just hold my breath and thought, a digital gaming climax :o (even if i would have favored Shepard holding the speech instead of Hackett)

But then everything crashed within minutes  The epic final assault, the appearence of Harbinger (too short imho). Everything amazing. I even enjoyed talking TIM into shooting himself (well, i would have expected Shepard to shake off his woundings "just a flesh wound" )

What the hell have you guys been thinking? You told us even weeks before the rlease that there would be almost "unlimited" different endings because everything the player did within the previous games would matter. But it didnt, there is no way around it. You didnt tell us the truth and your promotion for ME3 is a pure lie. Tell us what you want, but in the end you blew it Bioware.
Without this lets say last 5-10 minutes i would have given ME3 5 of 5 stars. But now i cant even give the game 3 stars, just because this damn ****ed up ending didnt just blew ME3, it also made every decision of the previous games obsolete. The entire Mass Effect atmosphere got killed WITHIN MINUTES!!!
I still dont think that there has been any developer before who screwed up such an epic franchise with such few effort. Maybe i should even give you credit for it :crying:
Over here in europe we are, to say the least, "very" disappointed. We just cant believe what you have done to your own creation.
Currently the biggest movement over here is that we tell everyone NOT to buy ME3 until you fix it. And, referring to the main gaming/ fanforums, the most fans also wont buy any DLC, just because in the end it is meaningless. Fix it, or you will loose a lot of money on the long term. We wont back off, "we fight or we die". And we will take you with us :crying:
This is so sad...why Bioware...why...:crying:

- Thane fight with Kai Leng, awesome

- Letting me get my AWESOME BLOOD DRAGON ARMOR
- The new look you gave Ash
-The memory box from Liara
-Legion´s and Mordin's sacrifice, althought painfull to see.

What i hated more than my guts.....

THE ENDING OF MASS EFFECT 3!

Seriously, though, it's not even 16. If you're feeling generous, it's 6. And in reality, it's one, plus your favorite color.
Unless you're colorblind. ... In that case, it's really just one ending.

So, Bioware: STOP HARASSING THE COLORBLIND!

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

Mr Priestly,

I sincerely thank you for your acknowledgement over the issue of the endings. I had begun to think that Bioware did not actually care for their fans, but you proved me wrong. Thank you.

Now, as is already been addressed, I agree with the majority of fans that the endings are terrible. I was fully expecting Shep to live in most options, not only one. I've spent about 3-4 years playing Mass Effect. From game 1 i had been planning my choices to have the best possible outcome in ME3. I just felt like my work was all for nothing because the ending was just a slap in the face. No offense. The part where the Normandy is shown stranded on a random planet is heart-wrenching. To know that Shep's closest friends were basically stranded with no help was a pain in the a--.
I just want Mass Effect 3 to end on an amazing note. A genuine happy ending. I dont care how cliche or ridiculous it is, I just want Shep to be happy. Basically, if Shep's story ends happy, I'll be a happy gamer.

I also read that the "original" endings consisted of the Reapers trying to find a way to stop Dark Matter from consuming the universe. I'm not sure if that is true, but that is another rumor.

 Thanks for listening,
Jack S.
