This poll shows - more or less - what we want from a true ending to mass effect 3
Its only a small reference pool but it shows a defiant majority

Me and the other fans that have valid reasons: You sound like a vorcha why don't you look at some of the flaws and pay attention to some of our posts and see that we can accept a bittersweet ending if it makes ****ing sense

The fact that you like this idea demonstrates a gross misunderstanding of storytelling and plot development that is as bad as the original ending.
I’m renowned for choosing my ice cream for its taste, regardless the production processes involved.
Disturbing, indeed. And instead of ‘breaking the rules’, they call it ‘creativity’. But what more can one do than taking it all and hoping for better days? Did you know that for thousands of years Egyptian arts obeyed to the rule of symmetry? Suddenly, Amenhotep III thought differently. Then Egypt reached its peak in arts. Now everything is back to normal. See? Another fun fact: it’s been established time and time again that women are inferior beings and their place is in the kitchen (unless the dog needs the place). Yet lately, some seem to disagree (!?). Just saying...One, it still introduces a new character right at the ending - which as has been established time and time again, is a poor plot device for when the writers cannot produce a logical ending that follows on sequentially from previous events
And we, the kids, have a problem with the authority. It's a major break in the storytelling to create an arbitrary ending of the writer's choice.
Huh?Secondly, you're saying that this character should be allowed to wilfully deceive the player.
Story (as you mentioned above). Games revolving around choice: chess, Go, politics, marriage etc. That's a gross crime against a game series that has revolved around choice.
Try a different approach. Unlike the technical manuals, where 1+1 is always objectively 2, in arts most of the time the result of 1+1 is more personal and often unexpected. On a sad note, there are people who never find it.people are trying to correlate all the facts that have been presented to the player, which is not possible to do in any logical fashion or without copious amounts of handwaving.
the sacrifice was expected to happen in a logical and coherent fashion. It didn't. The fact that you can't recognise this is not a failing of the people issuing the complaints, it is a failure in your ability to understand them.
Yeah, I keep seeing this pattern: - ‘No logic at all - can’t you see the sun up high?’ -‘But they say it happens in Japan, where is night’ -‘You don’t understand’.

Is the extended cut DLC going to be similar to how fallout 3 changed/fix its endings or are we going to see these cinematic scenes sprinkled into the ending cutting scene after choosing either destruction, control or sythesis?
That's the big question. Officially they have said the endings won't be changed, but will be clarified. If so, that's the model for failure. I am going to try and have more faith than that. I can't see them leaving their fans this way, because this ending as it is, even if clarified is so unsatisfying it turns hardcore fans away. Not a good sign.

Cause that's what you put forward......how many of you have stated thatLiarasShield wrote...
a majority of the fans who love the ending are only gonna think we hate the ending cause it is sad no matter what prove or facts we give them no matter what flaws we point out they will still only say that we hate the ending because it is sad face it they're jumping onto the bioware pr wagon and riding it all the way home
you will hate the ending even after the extended cut even though none
of you even know what it will be?????????????????? Simple
conclusion. You all had expectations that were not met and wont be
happy till they are. In simple terms you are throwing a fit and hoping your loud voices make the big mean corporation void all its hard work.

Me: damn bosh'tat can't understand I hate the ending because it makes no sense
Liara: by the goddess I thought you only hated the ending because you can't live and have those kids with me shepard
Me: well I am somewhat disappointed about that but if I have to die then i want you and the crew to remain loyal to me and for my heroic sacrifice to make sense so here I go destroys the red machine and gets caught up in the explosion
No advanced ai that tries to explain the reapers
* normandy stranded inspace while staying to fight the reapers with the fleets as the relays get destroyed and the ship gets damaged by the shockwave*
*Reapers on earth get destroyed by the red blast as it destroys every relay in the galaxy*
Me: Some how survives the explosion from the citadel and earths reentry while body remains intact takes one final breath and then fades to black
and I could die or live or whatever and leave it to the players interpretation it can still be a bittersweet ending or hope for a future leaving it up the players wether shepard died or not

You are making assumptions that are void of reality. To say none wantLiarasShield wrote...
you have jumped on with the bioware pr and the other good fans who only think we hate the ending cause it is sad but we have given you so much that we can still accept a sad ending if it makes sense or a cliff hanger if it makes sense
Shepard alive and happy endings would be lying. The majority of those
hating the ending wants just that. All you have to do is look back at
the reposes in this thread. What else does it mean to have a ending where you and your love interest have a life after???????????? I can handle disagreement but I like it to be honest.

WE can say what needs improving
Not only is that easier to achieve its easier for developers to understand what WE want... That's why I made this poll: http://social.biowar...64/polls/32346/
