The ending was just plain rubish and did not make sense, that's what they need to fix first........how is TIM at the end, what was he going to do there,if he shot Shepard whould TIM go on to meet starchild ,pick contol and blow every thing up as Shepard does???
what the hell are all those clips of the Normandy about........are they there just to do some adam and eve thing?........so you pick the green ending, everything merges......so what stops basic organic and synthetic evolving to exactly the same senario as we presently have......green option fixes now.....not the future.....and what the hell is green magic any way???....and on and on.......

Of course if you've read my other posts (I think you have ) you do know that isn't my only problem with the ending.  It's one issue among many.

The ending does not follow the rest of the stories within the games nor does it follow even the way we have played the games.  It doesn't make sense.  It is like it's the ending of a different game.  But, there is also a point to be made that all of the things that made ME what it is and made us care about it were lacking.  The teammates were a part of that.  One thing many of us do want is to know what happened to them-and I don't mean just some shot of them landing on another planet.  We had interactivity throughout the game and it's just thrown out the window.  The issue isn't only what happens to them in the long run, nor is it only what happens to the as Shepard sludges up to decide between pretty colors.  Of course, the whole thing is a mess.  Circular logic, lack of logic, lack of discussion over stupid choices.  Gun that won't kill vidkid.  Infinite ammo.  Anderson follows Shepard but gets there first.  "Hammer's down.  Everyone retreat."  No way.   Joker running.  Joker landing on jungle planet with people that aren't even dirty even though they were on Earth just seconds ago.

My issues are pretty well summed up in the link to the video I posted several times in this thread. It's just that we do discuss some parts of it at different times and point out little parts that make no sense.  Not much of it makes any sense at all, IMO.

Well, of course we can't force BW tto change the ending. But consider it like this.

As of now, thyey've lost me as a customer. One of the first things I did after finishing ME3 was cancelling my SWTOR subscription. I am not giving them one more cent. Cents are hard to come by lately.

I haven't even downloaded the Free MP pack.

They have lied to me, delivered a subpar product, and implied I'm not smart enough to understand (why else would I need "clarification"?) their "art".

I could perfectly shut up about it, go on with my life and forget BioWare ever existed.

But I want to love this game. I want to be a BW fan.

So for old times sake, and because I believe Mass Effect 3 is 15 minutes away of becoming a masterpiece, I have decided to give them one last chance to regain my trust. It involves completely rewriting the ending and getting rid of that annoying kid.

Agreed.

I'd settle for making the God Child shootable but there are interest groups who will make me eat my hands if I do. Shame though. What with having infintie ammo at the end.

Ye Gad! I've figured it out! That wasn't Shepard at the end. We've been duped! It was Solid Snake wearing a Shepard mask over his infinite ammo bandanna. He probably sneaked up on Shepard during the beam attack, clubbed him over the back of the head and left him in the debris. That's why we see him taking a breath if we chose the renegade ending.

Dear lord we've done it now, we've killed Solid Snake. Hideo will hunt us down in a box. Thank you BioWare...... if that's really your name. :P

Snake's probably desperate for another part since MGS4 that he would do
anything for a shot at a high profile game. Including having Otacon make
a woman out of him.

Yes......of course  I've read your post and we are very much on the same wave lenght.......I'm just fustrated at how an ending that presents so many holes can be bolted on to such a flag ship game.........the re-using of locations in DA2 is another example...........can't help but look and ask what the hell are Bioware doing, why, there's just no need for it,they are beyond it.....so WHY.
If someone point blank said that they had 2 days to finish, they got blind drunk and hey-ho that's why the ending is a bit wonky.............fine,at least I understand, lol.

Yeah darkway1, I hear ya. Biggest let down every for a video game and yet, they couldn't even do the let down right.

The only thing my brain can wrap around is that at the end it's the Catalyst playing with Shepard's mind or his/her mind is just falling apart. I'm damn sure someone's mind is.

One of the earliest now cult classic scifi movies was Forbidden Planet. It dealt with what they called the id monster. It was energy that used the people's subconscious minds to create their worst fears and then used that against them.

Shepard gets 3 choices so it's a choice between his/her id (destroy), ego (synergy), and superego (control). I will go with that until and unless a good ending comes our way.

It should be clear to Bioware now that the endings were pitiful, so I won't address those. I would say that I expected more from the game. My first play through was on hardcore and I was done in about 38 hours. Way too short and easy. A game and story of this magnitude did not live up to the epic level that it should have been. Single player out-of-the-box game content should have been a minimum of 60 hours play. There should have been playable space battles. The final fight in the alley with the missiles and throngs of reapers was a bad idea for a final fight. I wanted to fight Harbinger. By the way, why didn't Harbinger make a single appearance this time?

Harbinger had problems understanding the vidkid's circular logic, so he left in protest.

What the hell was that?? What the hell were they thinking?? Did they just dump the ending on to some amateur writers lap? I would dare say that Battlestar Galactica had a better ending then this!

Who is this "ghost" kid? How does he represent "them"? How can they add such a significant character(one who represents the Reapers and has the power of the Gods!) to the game without fleshing him out? It would be like Darth Wader all of a sudden shows up ONLY at the end of the Star Wars sage and revealing to Luke that he is his father.

Better yet, Harbinger should have assumed control of the Catalyst.

Catalyst, "I control the Reap----ASSUMING CONTROL OF THIS FORM, SCREW YOU KID IT'S ME AND YOU SHEPARD"

Yes,I too expected more,Mass2 offered lots of team mates, lots of places to go etc.....Mass3 just offered less of every thing in my opinion......and at the end they destroy it all any way....lol.

"Great" to see people are still holding the line. Also good to see new people who just finished the game totally freaking out.

Reminds me of my first post in this thread, a month back. I was still stunned and sad that the saga ended, and all I could think of was the lack of closure back then. It was only the next day -- after my subconscience did its work during sleep -- that I woke up thinking: "WTF was that horrid CRAP!?" I felt personally insulted, somehow. As if BioWare was making a fool out of me, throwing that clusterf*ck of an ending on the lap of a fan who had invested his freaking SOUL into the saga.

Goddamnit.

Personally I would have accepted  the game if it just ended at the console with shepard and Anderson just staring out at space and seeing the Crucible go off and shepard and anderson die just watching the reapers burn, and then this song plays during Shepards funeral.

Best campaign in trilogy, endings are cool.only thing is they should be affect by how we played paragon/renegade or somethin in between, not to make choice at the end.If google translate it right "as you sow so shall you reap"somethin like that should goes with endings.
I have to say i very dislike theres no middle answers, specialy in private conversations with team,i mean male Shepard sound so freakin gay when he talks with Kaidan,Vakarian, and always try to flirt with female part of crew that its kinda stupid, when you consider situation.I didnt play 1st two games and run through hell with male Shepard that he turn out to be a gay by mistake lol
beside that rest of game is a masterpiece :D

You know what he's talking about right?  If you get the iPad app  Mass Effect: Inflitrator, you can buy better bullets, because in order to earn enough credits you have to find random and kind of rare intel.  You can use the intel to add to your galactic readiness for ME3 or buy credits, but you need a lot of intel to get enough credits for the better bullets.  Ultimately, they expect you to buy the bullets just to get through the damn game.  There are other upgrades as well, but the first and least expensive is bullets.  I don't know if they do this in other games too, but it's way worse than what they want you to do for the reinforcement packs for ME3 multiplayer.  They have a right to want to make money, I just don't like this.

Hahaha-really, Harbinger is who haunted my dreams-the voice, the sounds, the size and menacing appearance.  But no in the end we get this kidvid yuck.
