Yeah, I sincerely doubt they are laughing. They loved the games as much or more than fans. They also seemed to expect new Mass Effect games that took place either before or during the events of the current series. There's no way they wanted this series to be remembered for this reaction. There are many reasons why some things just may have happened as they did. They were pressed for time and they began to borrow ideas from elsewhere. Notes they made suggest borrowing from the Matrix, among other things. I also think that certain plotpoints created cascading problems for them. If teammates were missing or not, perhaps did affect decisions to remove them from the final "battle". In the end, they couldn't push the release date further because they'd already changed it from late 2011.
Hallo,
i think that is true, but i think they ought to write the endingS at the beginning of the mass effect 3 project...at least an idea...
But i heard that the ending is similar to deux ex 1, right?
I liked playing ME3, i think is an excellent product until the last 10 min...
(my english is very bad..sorry..)
Your English is just fine, no need to ever apologize.
And yeah as a writer myself I know it's often best to at least have an idea of where you want to end up. Kind of like going on a trip. That does not always mean you end up right where you expected to be, but you do want to have an idea. I think all those things I mentioned (time being the biggest problem) made them change where they wanted to go with all this.
They did a horrible job. They actually would have achieved far more had they pushed ahead the release date. It wasn't like a Christmas release, which you do want to get out in time for Christmas, because they already missed that date. I have bought a lot of games (and I mean a lot) and many of them have had Spring releases or are beginning of the year releases. The timing for them probably had to do with Fiscal year budgets.
But, none of this matters to fans. When we buy a game, we want a complete game. We want to core of the game to deliver and the ending to help wrap it up. This game failed because of the ending. It's the business's responsibility to care about the financial and deadline issues, not the buyer/player's. It may make me understand their problems more, but it won't make me like the game.
