any ending is more memorable than pick a color and have no clue what happens.

That's not memorable at all.

Debate?  What debate?  Seems more like arguing and scrambling to come up with some explanation that explains the "ending" and give people some ounce of hope for a better ending.... there is no philosophical debating regarding the ending, only confusion.

@Xerkysz: I am truly happy you enjoyed the endings.

Feel free to theorize all you want, but this is not about Indoctrination theories any more.
This is about a company so stuck in it's ways they don't see what is happening. The time to stop is now... not later... it could actually be too late already. This whole issue have gone too far.

Don't think for a minute that this haven't reached EA heads at this point.

Facts are there, play through the game, don't be lazy, take notes, figure it out yourself, stop being moronic, and it is about indoc, as everyone wants new endings, yet they are too blind with rage that they didn't get the ending they wanted (Because it's not the end of the game yet...) to realise that BioWare indoctrinated them because they are too lazy to figure it out for themselves, they don't listen to the people telling them that, with all facts present, but if BioWare said it, by god they would all bow down.

Stop being idiotic lazy morons and wake up. (Goes for the entire community)

And with saying this, it's 6am, I must sleep.
Enjoy being Husks!

Your facts are fan ******. Nothing more.

Enjoy your crappy ending.

A dead Tali and Javik.

...

Take note that Tali and Javik walked out of the Normandy in the exit scene.

AKA: Here they are, dead, while alive out of the Normandy. Not sure what to make of it.

Mr. Priestly, so these are the endings we have? As me and a lot of people stated... Plot holes.

That is why you will not be getting any more of my money and if I could sue you I would.

Bioware you lied on purpose to get my and other's money that makes you nothing but common crooks.  i have no more respect for you then I have for a shoplifter in Wal mart.

HOLD THE LINE!

You do realize that wasn't him right?

The game was absolutely great except for the ending which leaves too many unanswered questions. Actually it reminded me of the ending of Akira and that didn't make sense either! But its still a good movie

1) Traveling through Legion's brain was one highlight.
2) Shooting cans with Garrus - not a euphemism for killing Geth.
3) Seeing the Mako back in action.
4) The first time I performed a headshot with the Black Widow
5) Bringing the Geth and Quarians together
6) Wrex saying "I told you he could be trusted"

Those are the ones that immediately spring to mind :0)

OK, I took a deep breath and realized I wasn't being fair in my earlier (sarcastic) post. This was a fantastic game... All the games were - which is why you're getting such a passionate rebuke on the ending. People are mad because they became really invested in the Mass Effect franchise, and that is because of all the hard work that BioWare put into these games.

My favorite moment was Liara's gift... that was really well done!

I don't want the dislike for the ending to overshadow what a great series Mass Effect has been.  They are the only games where I've been compelled to play multiple times because I love the characters and love the universe that they reside in.  When I reached the midway point of ME3 - right after the Citadel attack - I felt like the game could pull off a rare feat and actually surpass my expectations, which were the highest I've ever had for a video game.  Reuniting with Kaidan, war planning with Anderson and Hackett, witnessing Thane's heroic sacrifice, shooting bottles off the top of the Citadel with Garrus - I absolutely loved these moments.  Character interactions seemed a lot more natural - you get to interact with your squad off the Normandy and listen when they interact with each other.  Witnessing the results of your previous story choices was extremely satisfying and I appreciated that there was a lot of time taken to account for all the possibilities.

I was so invested in these characters over the 3 games that this is where the ending ruined things for me.  The superweapon was a little macguffin, sure, but I was okay with that.  What I wasn't okay with is Shepard just taking everything this deus ex machina star child said with no doubts whatsoever.  Then you throw in the nonsensical "we must harvest organic life in order to prevent them from creating synthetics that will later wipe them out."  It didn't matter if I resolved
the conflict with the geth and quarians, or that I made EDI more human and basically proved this star child wrong.  I even proved Javik wrong by uniting alien forces without forcing them to submission and proving different species can work together.  But choice and choosing your own destiny became irrelevant.  It's like Shepard finally surrendered in the end.

Yes, it's about the journey, but I was so heartbroken by the ending that I honestly haven't touched ME3 since I beat it 3 days ago - not even to play MP.  I was planning to replay the game multiple times to see how it would affect the ending but now I know it makes no difference.  To expand upon an idea from someone else, it's like you're driving and taking this wonderful roadtrip and picking up friends along the way.  Then you find out that in the end you have to drive the car off the cliff.  Every time.  And you're going to leave your friends stranded on the road.  Knowing that I can't change the outcome no matter what is disheartening and I don't want to have to speculate for a game like Mass Effect because seeing how my choices have changed the universe is why I become so invested in the games.

The bottom line is I wouldn't be so sad about the ending if the rest of the game hadn't been so stellar.  I felt like ME3 could have taken the top spot on my list of best video games ever, something that hasn't moved in the past 15 years, but because of the ending felt far short.  I care about my squad and I care about what happens to Shepard.  But now I find the only way to cope with the ending is to exploit plot holes like the Normandy crew inexplicably arriving on a foreign planet alive and well as proof that Shepard was indoctrinated.  Shepard dying in a heap of rubble and squadmates and aliens still fighting the Reapers to the death is preferable to Shepard destroying the Reapers but leaving her allies stranded and with no means to escape a ravaged Earth.

Hear-hear!

You took the words right out of my mouth (fingers?) with this post and we need more like it.

I came to like, loathe and love the various characters. The little things like the interaction between your squadmates in ME3 added a huge amount of depth and I think the game was all the richer for it.  That and a million other things that made me want to buy the games and the DLC.

I forgave the fact that I had to download a 3rd party hack in order to play ME2, a game I bought from new with real money and everything, because the DRM wouldn't let me in, despite many emails to EA.

What I can't forgive is how the ending was such a let down.

We are not asking for sunshine and bunnies, it was never going to end well.  What we want is closure; a good ending does not leave one with many questions and no answers.  A good ending also makes sense.  The ending to ME3 was not a good ending.

I never really expected the Crucible to be a magic "make the Reapers go away" device.  My own money was on it using the Mass Relays to broadcast a signal that completely and utterly negated the indoctrination effect, thus levelling the playing field so the fight could go on, even if Shepherd still wound up dead.

Bioware,

I want to thank you for making such a wonderful series. You gave us five years of wonderful moments. Eden prime to the harbinger laser, you wrapped us in a story that did not disappoint, and let us make it our own. I applaud you for that, and stand in awe of that.

But you left us with a sour taste in our mouths Bioware. You took every choice we made in five years and threw them all away. You did that. You know you did it when you made these endings. Why you think we wouldn't see it, when you've walked this path with us for so long is beyond me. But you did it.

None of our choices mattered. So long as we somehow built enough points, not one choice mattered. I could trick the krogan, all but doom them to extinction; allow the geth to destroy the quarians; break liara's heart. And my ending is no different, not ONE frame different then if I had saved them all.

If I refuted the Catalyst's very reason for creating the reapers with EDI/ joker and the geth/quarians, it matters not one iota. I am given the same three options as the Shepard who called EDI a machine, who watched the Flotilla burn and Tali die. How does that make any kind of sense?

I loved this game until that moment. Until I saw the withering death of five years of storytelling in some galaxy spanning shell game. the worst part about them? Not the very worst part, but close?

You made The Illusive Man right in all but one ending.

You either take his place and control the Reapers, or fuze sentient life with machines, like TiM's husk soldiers. You take the very same actions as the most vocal villain the game in all but one ending.
We fought against Tim and his plans for a game and a half, and in the end, we become him, or doom the galaxy to some Dune-inspired end times by Machines. And you expect us to be content? You expect us to care about the future of the series?

Why?

Why should we care about the distant future of the mass effect universe? Why should we purchase any new games to find out about the things we should know about NOW. Why would anyone care, when you can't be bothered to care about the characters, places and things we've spent five years building with you?

Oh man, favorite moment in the game. That's tough.

When my Shepard went with Garrus to shoot cans on the citadel, that was the awesomest thing ever.

But...

When I renegade kill Kai Leng and yelled "That's for Thane you SOB!" I got goosebumps.

So many great moments.

True.  And ultimately, while the game itself (minus galactic readiness affecting war assets) was amazing, the ending left us with more questions as opposed to bringing any sense of closure.

Oh and the OP asks for a favorite moment. DRUNK TALI!!!!  I loved that.

The moment after the battle of Rannoch with Tali was my favorite, but to be honest the ending really devalued everything that happened before. I'm attempting a second play through, but I really can't enjoy this game anymore (I know that sounds like the stereotypical fan overreaction). I feel complete apathy about Mass Effect in totality.

Its no secret that your team isn't going to do anything about the ending: Casey on after Mass Effect 3
"Whatever we do would likely happen before or during the events of Mass Effect 3, not after"

So whats the fricking point? Nothings going to change. The last entry in the series didn't go out with a bang, it went out with a whimper.

Oh, I just thought of another favorite moment.

Shooting things with Garrus on the Citadel. My Shepard romanced him and was a Paragon, so I missed the shot.

Favorite place on the Citadel, huh? You just keep thinking you're a better sniper than me, boy-o. ;)

Every Tali romance scene, including the picture one. And, despite the awful lense flare you asses put on the picture, at least you chose a good picture. At least. If you could animate that I'd be happier of course.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

Hello ladies and gentlemen of at Bioware, all First I want to apologize in advance for my English is better than average, I'm Belgian.

I'm a fan of dale with KOTOR games since 2003 and since I'm almost worth all games (Baldur's Gate Mass Effect Neverwinter through, Jade Empire and Dragon Age) and I love it all, even Dragon Age II if it is not equal to his big brother is very pleasant ... They call me a fan boy I did cure.

With this Mass Effect 3 you made me laugh and cry, the game is very good overall despite a lack of choice in the dialogue, I think. We feel the impact of no choices in ME1 and ME2 ME3.
BUT, because there is a big but, I find the end that you impose on us all just a **** (pardon my language). She is full of inconsistencies and does not reflect any choice made earlier!

I cried at the end of Mass Effect 3 but not because this is beautiful and even touching, I cried with anger frustration and resentments. I have a fifteen part exported in ME3 but what good anyway since I get the same result no matter what I did in this game? What good is because whatever happens I would not know what happens to my romance, my companions and the other race? Why has every faith as a stupid kid I come out its moral has two ball and completely illogical? Why, because I would have no valid rampion reapers and their creations?
With these purposes you kill the very principle of Mass Effect which is based on the repercussions of the choices.

Now if your butts from the beginning was to provide us with a DLC "The real purpose" you have succeeded because no fan of Mass Effect is worthy of the name can not go to such a DLC.

Sincerely, a fan disappointed.

I had a lot of great moments, Drunk Tali, drunk Ashley, a thresher killing a reaper, all epic. Too bad the ending ruined them all, but all epic. I'll keep up hope though. Bioware has only let me down once.

To put it simple about the ending;
Lack of closure and decisions, and way too many plot-holes.
Other then that, like, 99% of the game was/is awesome.

After reading all the articles and posts about ME3’s endings and players demanding it be changed got me wondering. Ever miss the days when game designers had to thing right the first time, there was none of this “lets ship this thing and fix any problems in patches” mentality. I almost feel that Bioware didn’t know how to end/or did this to get player input to make an ending the fans want. Honestly I think that in the pre patch days an ending like ME3’s would never have gotten passed.

Oh, and favorite moment, drunk Tali tied with Geth/Quarian peace.
