Fix the ending and then I can focus on all the good things that happened in the game. Until then.....sorry, too painful to remember.

I loved everything with Wrex, Mordin's sacrifice, The Ardat Yakshi Monastery, and especially Grunt's survival. The fact that such a remarkably ill informed process led to such an abominable ending is almost tragic. The hubris of the writer and producer to go against their promises and the wishes of fans is pretty staggering.

No sir, the idiotic consumer base is killing the creation because they are too lazy/stupid to think outside the box and do a little reading/research.
BioWare have stated that they have plans, but are not releasing them yet. In otherwords, sit the **** back, shut the **** up, and watch what happens.

That is sooo way out of line.

Agreed.

I thought the new terms of usage stated that if someone were insulting and denigrating towards other members of the community, that said person would get banned. I'm really getting tired of Xerkysz's trolling and denigrating comments towards those that would like a better ending.

Shout out to all the space battles <3, right down to the sound effects (hell, all of the sounds in the entire game basically). Loved watching every minute. I'm pretty sure I yelled out "SPAAACE BATTLES PEW PEEEEWWW!!!!" more than a few times....

I personally had no expectations on the ending. I assumed the reapers would go down if I rallied enough forces and intergalactic unity would be the real winner. Really didn't even consider any other kind of ending at all, so +1 for giving it a twist.

Either way, - the ending is irrelevant. What happens to my squadmates and the key characters throughout the universe afterwards .... Is all I ever cared about :crying:

haven't beat the game yet, and seeing what i've read don't think i want to. All I will say is Shep deserved better, so far my favorite moment is when Shep held Liara's hands and said " friends isn't going to cut it for me anymore, whatever happens I want to spend the rest of my life with you" and and when Liara's "Father" threatened me for working with Cerberus.

My favorite moment was when i started the game, and that lasted until the last 10 minutes hit. I am glad to see BioWare acknowledging our concerns. I hope this issue can be addressed in the very near future.

I was really hoping your choices would matter more, and if you worked your rear end off, you could get an accomplished happy/bright ending that reflected your play through. I'm aware not much can be said, especially seeing as how the game isn't even two weeks old, but think about possibly adding a true "perfect" ending, or a you just totally messed up endings. Kinda like ME2.

With regards to my wishes for the endings,  I posted a lengthy comment in a topic here marked social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10014655

Bioware people you should read this and hopefully my comments shoud factor in your decision making.   From a customer management standpoint I highly advice any ending fix DLC should be free, just as product recalls for defective/unsafe products are also free.    I will be happy with a fix for the ending, and forgive my dsiappointment.

And of course additional DLC of any kind that add new chapters to the story, or game assets, its acceptable to charge for that.

"We want to allow more people the chance to experience the endings" sounds like "We're praying to God that for some reason people who buy later won't hate the endings as much as the dedicated fanbase that preordered or bought in the first couple days and we'll be able to use that as positive spin."

No, it simply means that they don't want to officially comment with specifics on the endings until more people have finished it, including those who have already got the game. I hate the ending too, but let's be fair and objective where possible.

Yea - I honestly figured this was why they weren't commenting.

I have 2 friends that haven't beaten it yet - they know the internet is furious about the ending, but they won't read any articles about it or anything. But if Bioware were to relase a statement saying they're coming out with a new ending dlc, or gave their offical explanation for the ending, those headlines would probably spoil the current ending for those people.

Basically, they'd rather have fans who haven't beaten the game yet see headlines like, "Fans Petition For New Ending for Mass Effect 3" than "Bioware Says the Ending Is a Hallucination."

I wish I at least knew how long we are waiting? A week? Month? 5 months???? Most people have beaten it by now I'd wager.

The moment where I woke up and realised I hadn't seen the real ending yet. That mess was just a dream. Oh wait... Posted Image

Alternatively, the moment before Shepard got back to Earth and this was still my favorite game series of the moment, and I had invested lots of time and emotion in it and was looking forward to seeing several wildly different interesting endings (sad, happy, grim, bittersweet, thoughtprovoking, etc) and then replaying all of the games many times. You know, basically, before it all went to crap.

Thought it was the best game in the trilogy until the Crucible docked at the Citadel. Then, it felt like Shepard was hallucinating. Yes, we get to choose what happens to the entire galaxy, but it makes no sense. We're never told why Joker flew away far enough to reach a distant planet, we're never told why our squad suddenly appeared from the Normandy, we're never told what the 'Starchild' actually is and why it completely ignored the possible unity of geth and quarians...

The ending brings up more questions than answers, and considering that this is the end of the trilogy, not the beginning, that's not good.
I did not invest so many hours in this trilogy to end up with a convoluted ending that attempts to be more meaningful than it actually is. Just a simple 'hey, we kicked the Reapers to hell!' would have been satisfying enough. I see what you were trying to get at, but for me it didn't work.

But, hey, I still love the game. Just not that nightmare at the end...

Not going to get really wordy other than the fact that Mass Effect 3 was incredible up to the beam run. Godchild and pick your color completely ruined the best sci-fi universe and franchise in videogaming. Unbelievable that the developers could even remotely think that this ending gives any closure. I feel betrayed and my faith in Bioware is forever shattered.

I cant believe how poorly you've handled this. You've pushed away a lot of loyal fans this past week.

if you guys were really listening, you would come out with a statement apologizing to the community and either offer some way to fix it...OR at least offer a dlc that gives fans closure. Is it that difficult? really?

kerberos productions, an independent developer, messed up last october by releasing a game in a terrible state. They stood up, apologized, and from that point on..they patched, re patched and reassured their fans/community that things would be ok, that they were asking for patience. Its 5 months now, still not up to a 1.0 status, but the fans..have been patient. Because KP talks to their fans, and tells them whats going on. Its that simple.

you could learn from them, and save yourself and the fans here a tremendous amount of stress and chaos. Id be willing to chill out and wait, if you people could actually just SAY something about what you plan to do. Otherwise, this is just going to continue.

up to you bioware.

Honestly, I thought the whole Genophage series of quests was done absolutely perfectly. There were several stages building up to the finale, with several sub-missions, and great pacing. I'm not sure that any other series of missions (Yes, not even the Quarian/Geth missions) were up to the same par.

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.

In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? :)

"We understand there is a lot of debate."  Debate implies that fans are fairly evenly split and are arguing about the ending's quality.

The word you are looking for is not "debate."  The number of people who like the ending is quite small compared to the number who hated it.

There is not a lot of debate.  There is a lot of CRITICISM OF THE ENDING, and a little bit of debate.

I'd feel more trust that our concerns are being concerned if I were reading plain, honest speech rather than PR TalkaroundTalkaround.

Some stupid statistical data, show that end game are not so important. All that just show the opposite, how is very important for core gamers ( who pay you lots and more... ), expecially in a RPG game like Mass Effect.

2nd it show what does mean to have lost one of the Mind of Bioware: Drew Karpyshyn, not so involved in ME3 as last book with huge problems too.

Why did BioWare have to half-ass the ending. They should have ended Mass Effect 3 with a great ending, not the same ending with different colors. A person who was colorblind couldn't have seen the difference between them.

I just want to know when the actual endings will be released, and whether I'll have to pay for them.
