Bubbles, I have a question.
What do you want? What do you wish to achieve? I am now curious. I have theories, but I would like you to come out and state what it is you seek.
I dont wish to achieve anything. Nor do I wish to hinder. I am stating my
views and I am stating the truth to counter the misrepresentations of the
5 here. Never once do they just say "I thought the ending sucked....."
No Instead they scream that Bioware lied to them and seemed to hate the
fans even after the said they would release a extended cut for free.
Nothing is perfect but it is the height of arrogance to tell the creators
of this series what they should do with their characters in their
story.
I am a counterpoint to the mass hate fest that goes on here mostly cause I could care less that the few spoiled rage trolls make fun of me. Childish actions just show childish minds....Kinda of like using the name bubbles.
You don't state your views, other than to insult.
The fact that you don't wish to enlighten yourself by ever once reading anything anyone else says or actually reading what Bioware said prior to release indicates you are stuck. Yes, people have said the ending sucked and done a great many things you say they never did. Childish is saying something sucked and offering no explanation as to why it did. Childish is saying something sucked and not trying to do something to make it better. Ever seen a feedback form on a website or a feedback card in a restaurant. They have little checkboxes that ask whether you liked the service, food, whatever and then they have a big box for comments. Just saying you hate something, doesn't help anyone. You should say why you hate it. And I personally think if all you are going to do is say you hate something, then you should just not say it. Businesses are supposed to want to know why something they did isn't working for you. It helps them sell more products. It also helps them discover new things and maybe to see and agree that they did something wrong. It's ignorant to just say something sucks and walk away and it changes nothing.
We've asked for real discussion with Bioware-help explaining what they were thinking. You said we never did. You say we are screaming and yet it is you that continues to come back here and act with rage and childishly and appear to be having the tantrum.
We use rational explanations for why we don't like things. We cite instances of what Bioware has said. We also state that we will not be so happy if the EC is what Bioware said it would be. We know that it has not been released yet, and there is at last some minor chance they are asking fans for some input as to what it might be. Since it has yet to be released there's no way to know what it ultimately will contain and we can still hope it may contain things we are talking about. It isn't written in stone until it's done.
We are not being arrogant. We are being consumers and actually consumer advocates. If a company delivers a product that is not as promised, then I won't roll over and take it. If you choose to that's your right, but I'd like to see how it would work for you if you went to the returns area of any store and started telling people waiting in line for customer service that they are just whining and childish. Try it and let us know.
And don't say people could just return the game if they didn't like it-you know very well that is not the point. A lot of people couldn't return the game. And while we're on the subject, there will be a lot of people that can't get the Extended Cut when it comes out even if it is free. Some people play the game and don't have an internet connection. For once in your life put yourself in someone else's shoes.
Lies they told us:
You would not be required to play MP to be successful in the SP. Fact: You are required to play MP to be successful in the SP (free MP strategy guide on xbox says just this). Specific quote from Mike Gamble: "Of course you don’t have to play multiplayer, you can choose to play all the side-quests in single-player and do all that stuff you’ll
still get all the same endings and same information, it’s just a totally different way of playing"
It would be like no two players would have the same ending. Fact: every player gets basically the same ending. And don't start up with that hogwash that what they meant was that the whole ME3 game was the ending. A Bioware marketing exec said it was like ME3 was a new beginning. He said people would never remember something that occurred in the games 8 years ago (ME1 came out 5 years ago). He said that people wouldn't remember small details in a game from 8 years ago-but the whole ending is predicated most likely on one minor codex entry alluding to "beings of light"-the very minutiae this guy thinks you shouldn't remember.
There would be no A, B, or C endings. The endings were to have a lot more sophistication and variety in them. Fact: there aren't (in your world)-because the endings aren't labelled ABC, they are color coded.
Casey Hudson labelled fans as co-creators of the game (puts the lie to your idea that it's their game and is all about their ideas, their endings alone) and as such they used a lot of player feedback for the game and ending. Fact: they didn't even use a lot of the information contained within the game or player choice to come up with these endings.
Casey Hudson said that throughout the game and into the end, the player would come to view things through Shepard's eyes, not through some metagaming position of knowing the outcome so working toward that outcome. The player would work through the ending as Shepard is experiencing it and not just have Shepard reacting to situations. Fact: at the end all Shepard is doing is reacting as if s/he knows the outcome-this is Shepard as meta-gamer. Shepard and the player seem to know the kid's not really lying and that Joker will fly off and all. So Shepard stops being just what CH said Shepard would be. And the player stops seeing things through Shepard's eyes.
There are many more examples of lying, not keeping promises, whatever. My definition of a promise is this. If I say I will do something, that is a promise to do it. If I fail to do it I have not kept my promise. An adult owns up to it and says, "I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise." A child worms his way out of it, blames the other person for not understanding that he didn't say what it seemed he said or says the other person is stupid.
Again, this is all lost on you Thanatos, because you don't think people have valid opinions. The only voice you care about is your own. You ignore anyone that does not agree with you and then have always called them names. Now you whine about people whining and you cry that cry baby people you've insulted are insulting you. And you state that others are being ignorant while being expressive in imparting your own. You rage about others supposed raging. You are complaining about people complaining. And even when people have said they are just persistently asking for things from Bioware, you suggest they are demanding. Take in some oxygen once in awhile instead of constantly blowing smoke or bubbles.
