So the reapers should all die huh??????We humans should be just like them
at the end and commit Genocide huh? Sorry but one Hitler like ending is
enough for me.

Sorry but I need some clarification here.

The Reapers are going to kill, or harvest as they term it, all advanced life because 50,000 yrs enough time for any species to live. We can go into the why's of the 50,000yrs cycle but from the in game perspective the human race has had it's alloted time and now it's up it's time to be destroyed.......... And the Reapers absolutely will not cease and desist in this action till every space faring advanced race is gone. They cannot be bargined or negotiated with and they have the power to steamroll over every species in a divided state.

To put it simply, Death is inevitable. The Reapers are the big bad and nothing will stop them from killing everything, making more of them and then doing it all over again to another cycle of beings.

And while in principle is it wrong to kill, your saying we should take the morale high ground and not destroy them? Ok, there are 2 options which do not involve destruction. But control has always been pushed as impossible in the narrative. Many have tried and all have failed. And to suddenly have a SC pop up and say 'This time will be different', does not wash with me because I've seen attempts to control the Reapers through 3 games end in a spectacular failure. So synthesis then................ one problem with this and it happens to be a subject that is more down to Earth. Womens rights in America campaign strongly that a woman has the right to control their bodies without outside influence............ I could go into the specifics but essentially if a woman wants to go on the pill or not it's their decision and no one elses. Synthesis takes the principle of individual control over a persons body and discards it in favour of one person making a decision that fundamentally changes them.

So if commiting genocide is wrong against the Reapers, And geth (which I really hated since I'd managed to unite the Quarians and Geth and learned of their symbiotic relationship that would shave decades off repopulating Rannoch), and Edi................. and synthesis is wrong because it doesn't permit individual freedom to control their genetic, (I'm reminded of the DNA database from years back and the huge uproar it caused).............. and if control is wrong becuase while a branch to climb out on it's always, always been shown to have been cut off when the climber is far out on it, what's left?

What's your take?

and if I offend some well that isn't my problem cause mostly I try not
to. I say mostly cause sometimes I like to fire shots back at people
like yourself.

Bioware didn't lie. You assumed things and were proven wrong. That is not Biowares fault it is yours.

See I like this conversation. It is honest.

You just don't get basic concepts.  This isn't a conversation or discussion.  You wouldn't know honesty if it bit you in the arm.  You constantly fire shots at people.  That is a mature way to discuss things.  You can keep saying Bioware never lied.  They said a lot of things that you choose to ignore about what the game would be and the game was not what they said it would be.  That's a lie at worst or a broken promise at best.

Never said you couldn't post anything.  You've told us we shouldn't.  That we should move on.  Anyone with half a brain knows that when someone says they are moving on, it means they are leaving for good.  I didn't say you had to, you have told us to.  You also told us you have.  You have chosen not to.  You think I'm raging.  Nope. You again are imposing your own emotions upon me.  Where you are concerned I feel nothing.  I'm laughing at the person in the room who keeps making a fool of himself.  I don't insult you.  I don't have to.  You do a good job of it yourself.

Sad.

I fire shots at all people you say and yet it is you who call me a
liar......The hypocrisy is abound. It never dawns on you that you are
reaping what you sow?

wrong and moved on. I like discussing things I also believe any who try

Ok. You feel you are discussing things.

So we can both agree that in a discussion, it is ok for people to agree, and it is also ok for people to disagree.

Right?

Now, before, you said you were expressing your views.

I believe that expressing one's views is very different from discussing things. Simply because, expressing one's views does not mean you are willing to explain or discuss them.

Do you agree?

So this leads me to believe that expressing one's views is a one-shot deal. You do it, then its over and done with.

If you stick around to explain, and exchange ideas, then you are discussing.

Now, I am interested to know what you believe the goal of a discussion is.

Why should people put their time and effort into discussing something, regardless of whether they agree or disagree?

So i am not suppose to defend my views when they are attacked or questioned??????You have a very twisted view on what is a discussion.

What you seem to be saying is that you cant see any reason to take the higher ground. I on the other hand am a bit more of a optamist I guess.  I havent taken the control option yet.....Hard to bring myself to be like the illusive man.

if anybody can make an ending worthy of a story as absolutly amazing as the Mass Effect series, its the geniuses at Bioware. throughout the whole series, every twist and turn has proved to be more mind-bendingly amazing than the last, the story evermore intense, and the plotline always more brilliant. i know that it may be late in coming, but i know with certainty that none of us will be dissapointed by the extended cut ending.

if i could offer one suggestion, i think there should be some exclusive romance dialouge between shepard and liara if he was loyal through Mass Effect 2, i feel like staying faithful had no payoff in ME3.

Exactly! For writers who quote The Princess Bride so much, they seem to miss the part about Wesley and Buttercup living happily after after.  Instead we get to watch a horrific scene Shepard being burned away so they can have a "bittersweet" ending where they get the sweet, and we get all the bitter.

It's like someone offering to share a double whip frappemocha with you, and you watch as they make this fabulous drink, and then pour out the dregs from the pot into a second cup and say, "Here's yours. Enjoy!" And there's a chocolate covered roach added for sweetness. That's their artistic vision.

Bittersweet---

That to me is Naive cause I don't see how they die......I didn't know just
being near earth space would kill all aliens...Food? Why the Quarians
grow their own and can share with the turians.....So why else would they
all die???????? You continue to see things bleak cause you didnt get

Thanatos,
There's a big difference in calling someone a liar and saying they lied. If I say someone lies, that means I am addressing the behavior and calling it inappropriate.  If I call them a liar then I mean they are unsalvageable, never to be trusted, and not decent people.  I do not know you, therefore I never called you a liar.  If you say things that are not true and you just keep saying they are, then those are lies and you are lying.  If I knew you and all you ever did was lie, I would call you a liar.

That is the difference between insulting someone and merely pointing out behavior.  If you are mean once, then what you did was mean.  If you are mean all the time then you are a mean person.  If you are only mean once and I call you a mean person, that may be insulting.  School, huh?  You've questioned my education.  I had 100% attendance and many awards.  Let's compare.

No, it's not.

If I said you golfed once, that doesn't make you a golfer.
If I said you drank a beer, that doesn't make you a drinker.

Actually, the thing is I think you can miss some of the dialogue if you don't do some certain things.  There's more to it than I first thought when I played on my PS3.  There's one small part that I thought you only got if you first started a romance with her in ME3, but it's there even if you've romanced her in ME2 and ME1, if you have it.  The big problem was for me in ME2-you get no achievement award for being faithful to her if you romanced her in ME1.  It only awards you for a teammate romance.  It's ME2 where I feel they did some great things with Shepard and Liara and also missed the boat a bit.  If someone didn't get the DLC, they didn't get any of it I don't think.

If you liked Liara, you really have to find how to get the conversation with a certain bartender, if you haven't already.  And it is true that some of the dialogue is generic because it's there for a friend as well as LI, but it is different when you hit the very last one.  It is true-there actually isn't enough real LI dialogue no matter who the LI is, in my opinion.  At some point they all just have that "hello, Shepard" comment that kind of annoys me.  Something a bit more personal would have been nice.  This bothered me in ME2 with the Shadow Broker thing.  Once you are done with Liara, you are really done with her and I finished it the first time almost as soon as it opened up the mission.  "Thanks for coming by."  Ok, what?

Here's something more in context to the Sci-Fi theme, here's something I just edited together, its rough, I haven't got the time nor inclination to remaster the soundtrack ...so sue me ;) but seriously, its lengthy, almost 20 minutes long. However the length is needed to give context to why THIS IS a sacrifice and incidentally, how I thought MY COMMANDER would have answered starbrat, not the meek submission, acceptance of one of three death sentence ending with my commander giving up and taking the easy way out in suicide.

Knowing that the Bioware creative team are B5 fans, just a poke and reminder, what they had, what they could have done, and what they flush down the crapper.

Ivanova , Marcus and what it means to sacrifice for the one you love

He sure don't give respect to anyone that complain about the game, it's not by calling people whiners, because of your own opinion on the topic, that gonna give a good argue.

The interesting thing in this topic, for me, is not only that it's a real majority hating the ending and want it to be changed, it's also seeing everyone actually "give their own vision" on their Shepard, explaining muchly their point, and how things should have really been to them, according to what producers said before the game was out.

Lying or not, they just can't say things that in the end are totally false, you can't say then "well, i should have not put too much hopes to be so disappointed, synthetics rebelling, and 3 way ending remaining copy/paste, with just that color considering the choice.

There's no way you can yell at people not liking it, considering it's the apogee of Shepard's journey.

As a lot of members said here, you like the end, good for you, but don't critisize people that have not the same point of view as yours, without even explain as deep as they do, pieces by pieces any facts. But i gotta admit, even if the end was actually "fine", maybe some would have still complain because it's not what they expected, happy ending or Shepard's dying saving the galaxy.

Tough job to do when you're up to proceed by any players, who made different choices, used different paths.

I'm waiting the EC, i'm curious about it. More they take time, more it will be positive. They sure read here as they do on HTL boards for ideas on what can be done.

I can appreciate you probably feel a bit wound up but I have to say, can you not edit other ppl's comments out and replace it with your own words. It's a step to far away from having ppl's comments heard in their original form and if others think it's acceptable because they saw someone do it then it may allow others to think the same.

if anybody can make an ending worthy of a story as absolutly amazing as the Mass Effect series, its the geniuses at Bioware. throughout the whole series, every twist and turn has proved to be more mind-bendingly amazing than the last, the story evermore intense, and the plotline always more brilliant. i know that it may be late in coming, but i know with certainty that none of us will be dissapointed by the extended cut ending.

if i could offer one suggestion, i think there should be some exclusive romance dialouge between shepard and liara if he was loyal through Mass Effect 2, i feel like staying faithful had no payoff in ME3.

"Thanks for coming by."  Ok, what?

i am a true hardcore mass effect fan, and after playing all three games extensively, i can only agree. Bioware did a great job on continuing Liaras romance at the beggingng (minus the "liara toured the normandy" bug), but after she kisses shepard on the cheek, its as if they forgot she was even in the first two games at all. the thing that most got me mad was how after three years of dating, she apparently considered she and shepard to be just friends, and had to be prodded into admiting her feelings on the citadel.
aside from "how many times have you popped his thermal clip?" and two dialouge options with javik, theres almost no mention of a romance until the assault on Cronos Station. not even after Thessia!

no thantos what happend wasn't a true sacrifice and shepard gave into the enemy and in both of the endings the reaper lives and in all endings our forces are trapt in a solar system if you looked at any of the links I posted the actual sacrifice ends up saving someone

What you seem to be saying is that you cant see any reason to take the higher ground. I on the other hand am a bit more of a optamist I guess.  I havent taken the control option yet.....Hard to bring myself to be like the illusive man.

In the context of the game could you explain what you mean by the higher ground?

I can appreciate you probably feel a bit wound up but I have to say, can you not edit other ppl's comments out and replace it with your own words. It's a step to far away from having ppl's comments heard in their original form and if others think it's acceptable because they saw someone do it then it may allow others to think the same.

@Redbelle
I didn't, I just commented on Voodoo-J's post, but I can appreciate your concern for altering other ppls words
