On the Mass Effect 3 endings. Yes, we are listening.

Favorite moments included the Kai Leng interrupt (favorite scene in the whole series), shooting Udina, Mordin's death scene was great (both ways, and definitely sad though), the Reaper fight on Rannoch (and subsequent conversation; there should have been more conversations with Reapers), and many more.
But the ending was horrid.

And now for some positivity...
> The love scenes (particularly Liara's in ME3) are amazing. They reveal intense passion and longing without being tacky
> The inclusion of paragon and renegade interrupts in ME2. A logical addition, as not every situation can be resolved by talking people to death.
> The ending of ME1 after saving the council, makes you feel like a real hero
> The mind melding techniques of the Asari... simply amazing.
> Liara... full stop, she's just an amazing character.
> The positivity I felt after seeing Tali's outpouring of emotion after bringing peace between the Geth and Quarians and allowing them back onto their homeworld

I have played through the 3 best ending choices and have to be honest and say that, although slightly convoluted plot wise, (with the citadel being used yet again as the key to everything rather lazily written,) I actually think the 3 choices given at the end were both intelligent and a much more legitimate ending than having Shepard safe and in the arms of his love interest gazing at the stars. The kids have The Twilight Saga for that. Romanticism and a happy ever after would have been MORE of a cop-out from bioware. Like I said, although slightly convoluted, give me gritty bleak realism any time. FAV CHARACTER: the underrated and underused Kashmir.
i get enough "Gritty Realism" from my work and general life so what if i want an ending(should be hard to get ) were me and my LI live happily ever after?
This argument always irritates me. I just feel the need to point out for all of those who say "Shepards story could not have ended any other way." "He needed to die." blah blah.
You realize if this series was all about "gritty realism" the game wouldn't have made it beyond the opening of ME2? The whole Shepard burning up on re-entry in nothing more than his gear, and being little more than a charcoal briquette would pretty much mean game over.
Off topic I know, but dammit, I'm tired of these people and their "death to shepard is the way to go because it's real"
not exist and none of the alien races would have met eachother. i don't
play games for grit,I play them for fun and to feel like a hero. I
don't need to see everyone die. Also pretty much every movie and Tv
show made in the last 15 years kills the hero in the end because it is
"more real" If Bioware really wanted to shock people and go against the trend they should have given us a Shepard lives and saves everyone.
What is wrong with on of the ending options being as The Doctor once put it.
"just this once everyone lives!"?

This is why I must tell you this, everything after Harbinger's attack absolutely blows...massivly. Your motavations for the Reapers are amoung the stupidest things I've EVER seen. They try to prevent a Singularity from happening...yet they give the Geth the idea and the ability to destroy and overcome their otherwise powerful creators. They CREATE the singularity they claim they are trying to prevent. I don't know if this ever occured to you or not but it makes the Reapers look even more idiotic.
Most on these forums have already stated why these endings are horrible beyond reason, far more eloquently than I can typically. Mass Effect deserves better than this...the fans think it deserves more than this. Maybe you no longer think or care about Mass Effect, but for the sake of your customers I suggest taking our request into serious consideration. Because I for one will not spend another penny on anything from you until this is resolved, no more SWTOR, no DLC, no games, no accesories, no hoodies, no Lithographs, no comics or anything else. Until this issue is dealt with I am done. I do not say this with mallace or disdain, simply stating how thinks are going to happen. I want to love you Bioware, I want to give you my money for your work, I really do. You are making this very hard however, you are doing a fantastic job of driving me away. I know I am not alone in this line of thought, you WILL lose customers over this Bioware, I'm sure you know that. So for your sake, and the sake of all the customers who have placed their trust in you. Fix the mess you have made, give us the proper endings that we request from you. We have invested in you for a long time now, a lot of our money, emotion and time has been invested just like you. I think it is only fair we get something that made it all worth while.

I could go into specifics, but I have a feeling that after 98 pages, which I have not read, all of them will have been pointed out a few dozen times.

Every single ME2 player, no matter what choices they made, ended up at the suicide mission. Unless they were intentionally going out in a blaze of glory, everybody's Shepard survives. Yet...independent of the collector base choice...we all had different endings. In mine, Garrus proved he was a worthy leader of Shepard's caliber. Tali got her face rocketed off. Thane was carried off by the swarms. Samara protected the crew. Grunt went out like a Krogan. Miranda (after getting Thane killed) sacrificed herself to hold the line. Mordin nearly fell to his death but was saved by Shepard...and then saved the day at the end when Shepard nearly fell to HIS death.
How do I know these things? Because I SAW them.
Jacob survived my ME2, even though I didn't do his loyalty mission. So what happened to Jacob's father? Did he die at his crash site? Did Jacob go there later? Is daddy still alive and stranded even at the end of ME3? It's open to interpretation in my game, and that's okay. I can make up whatever I want to close out this minor plot point.
But at the end of Mass Effect 3, I can't tell you what happened to ANYONE (at least, anyone who survived until we tried to retake the Earth). Even the characters I saw at the end (Joker, Ashley, and Javik) may be misleading, since Ashley was clearly dead before I made it to the Citadel. So...if Ashley's dead, but is with Joker and Javik, then either Ashley somehow survived or the three of them are all dead on some kind of Purgatory (not THAT purgatory). But this isn't something for me to explain away. I can come up with my own ending for a minor character that I never even saw (Jacob's dad). I should not have to come up with my own ending for crew mates...ESPECIALLY if the final scene SHOWS them.
ME2 = Emotion, closure, no "what happened to the..."
ME3 = Emotion, closure...then an ending that UNDOES all of that emotion and closure without offering anything in return. You could literally end the question "What happened to..." with just about any noun, and I wouldn't be able to answer. That's ridiculous.

Seriously. No matter how you build your Shepard, the one thing that stays true is he/she kicks ass and doesn't accept impossible odds. He/she would have fought for something more. Defeating Sovereign, the Suicide Mission...
Shepard would never lie down and just accept- especially from the enemy- that this is the way it HAS to be. Shepard would do something about it... and succeed; Shepard WOULD save the galaxy, not just 'break even' (welcome to the dark ages but, hey, at least you're alive!). Whether he/she lives in the process or valiantly sacrifices him/herself? Well, let the players decide through their choices, their readiness, and other such things.
Seriously. Again. That would be the perfect ending to Mass Effect.

-I really enjoyed how you guys took into account shepards emotions something lacking from the second game
-Palaven was absolutely stunning I loved fighting the reaper forces while a massive space battle is taking place overhead
-The whole mission on Tuchanka was amazing fighting through the temple while learning more about krogan history was great
-Rannoch was awesome but i may be a bit biased

The resolution to each major conflict: Mordin's sacrifice at the end of the genophage arc (cue man tears); a peaceable solution to the Quarian/Geth war with the noble death of my favourite character; taking back London, witth special mention going to a late game cameo by the nuke launcher.
As well as my new favourite thing, "mail slot" one shots on Guardians: well placed shot, followed by pink mist, shield dropping to reveal headless body, said body crumples (often in slo mo, due to time dilation). class.
