Yet another dedicated fan whose left out in the cold because he's on a PS3. Seriously does BioWare even give a ****? The only Dev responses I see are predictably sterile "We regret to inform the community.." type of business message. I get that it's not something BioWare did intentionally (as it's probably on Sony) but it'd be nice if they acknowledged how jacked up it was to leave a whole consumer base out of community events outside of "Sucks to be you" type of messages.

I suspect that if they were permitted by Sony to explain the reason, they would. Sony has draconian restrictions that govern their network, and their partners end up being bound by them.

Bioware has a relationship with Sony that they likely want to keep intact. If they came out and said "we can't offer this to PSN users because Sony are jerks", I think they'd probably get some flak for it.

It does suck for PS3 owners, but you say yourself that the issues is probably Sony, and you are very likely right.

This is merely a PR stunt to deflect criticism from the game. If you have taken issue with the ending or another aspect of the game, or if you don't like the idea of being played the fool by corporate double-speak and manipulation, and agree with the 'Take Back Mass Effect 3' movement, please do not play multiplayer during this event. EA and Bioware can track you through Origins. If a substantial drop in traffic occurs, it may help push EA/Bioware into reconsidering their position. And if you want to play singleplayer, I suggest turning the internet off when you do, as that may also register with EA as 'playtime'.

If you agree, please consider this. It will help us make our position stronger. If you don't agree or couldn't care less, feel free to ignore this post. Have a nice day, and HOLD THE LINE!

^ Getting so bored with these posts. This is why I can't visit the story forums anymore. Negativity is the only thing you find there.

I already paid my money for the game. It's a digital copy, so I can't get anything back for it. I get zero value out of it if I don't play it. That's just silly.

Seriously?  Stop being an entitled child that expects Bioware to cater to what you want.  If a substantial drop in traffic occurs Bioware will likely not do any more events in the future.  I for one enjoyed the ending, seemed very fitting.  This event(and future events) were likely planned before release, so it isn't a PR stunt.  Grow up and enjoy what you payed for.

Don't be so naive.  Why would you even release something that excludes one of three platforms that released this?  You have to be equally fair.  Just neglecting one group and pointing fingers at Sony doesn't fix this.  Open your eyes, man.

^ They aren't pointing the finger at Sony. Gamers who have any experience with Sony are. It's obvious. Any multi-platform gamer with a PS3 can see the difference clearly, I would think.

In the Envent thread in the Multiplayer Discussion forum Bioware even stated they are working with Sony to get ps3 include in future events.

THIS CHALLENGE IS ONLY IN EFFECT ON XBOX 360 AND PC. Unfortunately we are unable to extend the N7 Challenge Weekend to the PlayStation 3. We continue to work with Sony to have them enable our ability to run these types of events on their platform.”

^ Does that not make it perfectly clear? Why in the world would Bioware not enable the event on PS3 is they could? It makes no sense.

Kudos on the challenge. Its a good way to keep us from farming cerberus and geth. Now that my crew have demolished brutes and banshees on gold how about adding that flying reaper to gold. Oh that bf3 soldier plug in was nice but a mass effect reaper finds a dead space artifact dlc would be extraordinary!!!

this sucks. PS3 version has awful framerate problems that they will likely never fix too. last time I buy a bioware game.

Do the brute kills only count if you make it past extraction? Also to get the pack you have to beat it on silver, but if we kill Brutes in Bronze does it count?

AWW come on, don't let it come to that, i've been a bioware fan for about 10 years, and they rarely (if ever) let their fans feel cheated...just give em time and keep voicing your opinion, they listen

Since you're writing here, I will assume you already have a PC. So sell it back to GameStop, and get the PC version instead. If you have so much issues (technically) and want a working game, that is the path I would take. My two cents, take it or leave it.
