Armor Piercing is the only way my squad got through. I have an engineer have someone wrap the barrier then go to town on her with incinerate and ammo bonus. The combat drone is a great distraction to her too.

It is clear if you read the first post that explains everything. You get ONE pack with a random n7 weapon for completeing the silver challenge. It does not matter how many times you complete it, you will get ONE pack. Then if the community as a whole kills 1 million brutes everyone gets an additional pack with some items. Both of these packs will be unlocked on Tuesday.

I've played around 35 games on silver and so far the closest any group I've been in has come is to fail on wave 10

This is not BioWare's fault for Playstation players. Playstation REFUSED to participate in this meaning when BioWare said hey we want to do this for the community Playstation, NOT BIOWARE, said screw you guys, we don't care about you. Just like they did in the demo . This is why I play games on the PC, it just works BETTER.

The community goal is 1 million but does that mean 1 million for each platform? or 1 million for the whole community?

as in 1 mil for Xbox 360 and PC
or 1 mil for each separately?

It's worth mentioning that Banshees don't have any weak points. Shooting for the head is a waste.

Only have 1 of those, mostly get cryo rounds so im saving my ammo one for a gold match, and not a random one, maybe if i get a few friends i know are awesome to.

The only problem I have with this (literally) is the inability to choose which gun you get from the commendation pack.

Especially since you only get one.

And, based on my luck on opening veteran/spectre packs, I'm going to get the sniper rifle that I never use.

I don't think it'd be too horrible to allow us to pick which weapon we received from packs like the commendation one, ones that are extremely limited.  Just make 5 different commendation packs, fill them with goodies and the one weapon and name them differently or something. Idk.

I do appreciate the event, even if most people claim it's a pr thing, but that's my only gripe with it.

I shoot whatever is closest before they do the warp thing. Also i must say zooming in on banshee boobs isn't a nice thing to see

It should not be *that* difficult provided you have the right classes on reasonably high level... I recommend one Salarian Engineer - can drain barrier and burn armor + the banshees sometimes fall for the decoy...

PS: try to save some missiles - it can be a live saver at waves 10 and 11

That really sucks! My squad got a full extraction from "Firebase Reactor" on a Reaper match on silver last night, and we killed like a dozen Brutes over several matches! Didn't realize that this wasn't available on PS3 until now. What "technical limitations"? You mean your exclusivity deal with MS? The challenge and rewards are a great idea and I am sure many people are upset by not being included just because they own a PS3! I even bought the collectors edition! C'mon guys....

you have to blame sony or that they  wont let  companies run things on there servers anymore after the hacking thing it seem they wont allow data sharing exclusively from a  contest that sends packets  to them which could end up being exploited by a hacker to gain access to there programs

I've been keeping up with all of the "I hate the endings" forums and the massive upcoming boycott. I get that this weekend event is supposed to be an olive branch intended to distract us from the obvious failures of ME3's endings. Many people are suggesting that we  not play multiplayer or single plaayer because EA/Origin/Bioware can track us doing that and assess wether or not we're serious about the boycott. I completely agree with the strategy here, but I'd like to point out that they're a corporation, and as a result the only thing that they care about is profits (as it should be). Therefore, Go ahead, play your multiplayer, play single player (if you can take the soul crushing dissapointment again), do whatever you want. Just don't give them another dime until this is fixed. For example, I won't be buying any points for spectre packs, I'll play for them, and in a few moments, I'm cancelling my SWTOR account and I intend to tell them it's because of the Mass effect Fiasco. Join me comrades, show them we're serious. Idk about you, but I want my closure. Bring it on Board of Directors!

not good to not include the ps3 community me and about 15 of my friends have ME3 for ps3,well since there not showing any respect for the ps3 fans that backed both there games,so lets back another game that reward all there fans so if the big stupid jelly fishes at bioware pull somthing like this again me and my ps3 community family will never buy anything product with a bioware logo on it ever again...ps bioware there are plenty of other great AAA games out there i can support that cares about all there fans not just a select few D-BAGS

To my ps3 community family if bioware pulls anything like this again message all your fans get on different me3 forums and let every ps3 fan know that bioware doesnt support the ps3 as much as they do xbox and to trade me3 in and support another AAA Ps3 game and to hell with bioware lets show bioware that we dnt need to me3 let there xbox and pc fans have it,BTW Starhawks and The Last of Us drops in 2012 so pre order know forget this broken game and think about the real AAA games that drops for ps3

as they said, PS3 is only left out due to technical problems... stop blaming them, they didn't do it deliberately... so quit whining and just hope that the PS3 doesnt fail as much in the future...
