Thanks Bioware.

*puts on helmet* Challange accepted!
EDIT: although it seems unfair that PS3 gamers get cut out of the Op. I'm 95% certain that it's Sony's end though but that said, I'm pretty sure Xbox Live is more of a closed system than the PS3 is (which can use Steam I might add)

Somehow I wonder if Sony is the main reason why PS3 players are left out? I'm a PC player so I don't really care, but that must burn.
Every time has the same thing. "Technical details". So something about how sony and/or the PS3 works is likely getting in the way. Common sense tells me Bioware would not leave PS3 users out this much for no reason. Especially considering it's not like they would require lots of implementation requirements to add a simple pack.
So it has to be a problem on sony's side.
That's what I've been assuming.

Wow, just wow.
This is an awesome idea and I love the MP.
BUT you haven't fixed the unlock/reset bug, nor even communicated anything about it for a week and you blithely announce this.
Big cajones.
Count me out.

Jarrett talked about it in the other thread in the multiplayer section for this.

Hey guys:
- PS3 is a bit of an
ongoing thing (we don't WANT to keep omitting that console from these,
honestly). We continue to work on that.
- The fix for kit relocking
is going in soon, this weekend you should be in good shape (and we fully
intend to restore anyone hit by that bug)
- this is the ONLY way to
get the N7 Arsenal guns in MP right now (note you will only get 1,
randomly). They are not being added to the main pack system.

i dont usually get this mad over video games but i feel cheated out of my money first the frame rate issue on ps3 and now this and im not even going to get into the garbage ending that we will probably have to pay more money to see resolved yeah no thanks im taking my copy of mass effect back today
I'm thinking if they get the problem sorted out they might offer PS3 users something exclusive to their platform as an "I'm sorry it took so long". But that's just what I would do. Who really knows.

How nice. A vague, completely non-descript answer to a question. I don't know if that's good enough for you, but I guarantee you that's not good enough for any PS3 user.

No offense, but what do you want them to do? If it's a problem on sony's side, do you want them to lambaste sony as being a terrible company who is purposely trying to withhold content from their fans? Would you like them to go on for pages about how hard they are to work with and how impossible it is to accomplish anything?
Seriously. It's bad business. If it's someone elses fault you NEVER point fingers in the business world unless you want to fail. You might need something from them in the future. And they will remember.

If you're pissed, go talk to sony. It's more than likely something on their end. No need to be rude to the guys trying to give the community a challenge, or the ones apologizing and trying to fix the issue.

Not getting into details (especially since it has been a while since) but I remember there (at least then) used to be a whole lot of red tape with Sony. Basically the developer had to be thankful for even being considered a review to sign the game... Would not be surprised at all if they are still equally arrogant.. not that BioWare would tell you for obvious reasons. .. So, in this case I would not put blame on BioWare. I am sure they really wanted to help you PS3 players out.
Funny, all I ever heard from any gaming "pundit" is how much more accessible and open PSN is compared to LIVE.
I'm not saying Bioware is intentionally trying to screw PS3 users over. I'm not dumb. I would just REALLY like a more detailed explanation of what exactly the problem is rather than a "Oh, technical issues, don't worry about it, we're trying".

Are you allowed to answer my question about the Aresenal weapon levels I posted earlier, by any chance?
No big deal if you can't.
