Lol, too many directions to point and not nearly enough fingers. It is obviously not any one persons fault. I do feel that with better planning none of us would be having this conversation.Salient Archer wrote...

It is. We payed the same retail price and are being offered a lesser version of the product. At least when Nintendo offers an inferior version of a game (COD Black Ops for example) they charge a lesser price (Ps3/xb360 version 59.99, wii version 49.99). It just makes sense to charge less if you offer less in return.supejp wrote...
THIS IS BS PS3 EXCLUSION!
Completely agree that it's a bad situation for PS3 users, but point your stern finger where it is due.
Do you honestly believe with all the flak BioWare and EA are already coping due to ME3 that they would intentionally ostracize 1/3 of their customers?

When was the last time Sony had a multi platform community plays ate where their members would be tracked on what they did during the game was tracked as a whole then uploaded to a third party? Oh right never because Sony only does that with exclusive titles to their system.

So in bf3 Sony lets the company track it's players along with the other platforms to allow all players across the 3 platforms to work for a common goal to unlock dlc of some kind?

it shouldnt be hard to track it seperately then add the number with the current total of the 360 and pc. Plus as sony is the only company i know of that allows pc and ps3 to play with each other, is main reason im calling this BS portal 2 allows pc and ps3 gamers to play co op, im sure if they allow this, and they allow stat tracking for other 3rd party games like battlefield and CoD im sure they dont care that much about the data being put together.

Psn was hacked during portal 2s release thus the game was allready setup for that function. Since then Sony has been more protective of their player base.chille23 wrote...

.you have to blame sony or that they wont let companies run things on there servers anymore after the hacking thing it seem they wont allow data sharing exclusively from a contest that sends packets to them which could end up being exploited by a hacker to gain access to there programs

Sony is such a joke. They rushed their market, which was an after thought for them, to compete with the 360 and due to their rush job they got hacked. Now because of it they are on lock down and other gamers suffer.
My question, and the question I'm shocked hadn't been asked yet, is if this isn't a PR ploy, why is there an issue with Sony in the first place? If this was planned, i.e. Working the details out before hand, how are you running into a "technical issue" that alienates 1/3 of the platforms you released your product on? If this wasn't to appease the pissed off gamers and take away attention and really something planned from the start, surely you would be able to work with Sony before hand right? Now PS3 owners get the bad ending, the worst frame lagged ME3 experience, and left out of multiplayer events? Wow. Sure blame Sony for the network stuff, but are you blaming them for not allowing this on a whim or after months of potential prep? Also, you can surely blame Bioware for ME3 related issues as it is not Sony who is in charge of game optimization. There is no way I should nearly get motion sickness from watching PS3 gameplay. That's on you Bioware. This release it now and fix it later mentality is constantly stretching the line of acceptable initial quality.

Sony's gaming network was on an unpatched non-updated Apache server. It was bound to get hacked...not to mention, the sys admins didn't even have the rights to patch it. The way the Sony network was configured was that the sysadmins had to use the chain of command and push requests to patch the server up. It eventually landed on the desk of some exec that had no idea what was required nor why it needed to be done. As such, they were easy pickings...The thing I don't understand is that even after this fiasco, people STILL stand by them. People should have left them and never looked back...
Oh well...having fun with MP on the PC...
