Arkeshen you do know that in silver there are like a minimum of 8 brutes, and double that on gold

This is true, but the challenge for the brutes does not specify the level of difficulty required to complete the challenge, thus I'm basing my calculation off of bronze.

It required to be Silver challange or above

Squad Goal: Successful extraction from a Reaper-held zone at a Silver threat level or higher.

The Victory pack was for brute kills on any challenge level. Only the other pack required silver/gold extraction against the reapers. 2 packs, 2 different ways to earn them.

No Quarian Males for you. Not until I get my Turian Females. :<

In Faded_Jean's defense, we already have quarian male models, so... c'mon, BW!

But ya, total gender control for all races would be nice.  But, don't the salarians look the same either way?

You can't do that for Turians or Salarians, their females don't fight, Quarians have no excuse other than favoritism, obviously.

*Spoilers*

Turian females do fight. Military service, in some capacity, is expected for all members of the Turian race. There is a Turian female in Mass Effect: Retribution that was part of the group in charge of transporting Paul Grayson from the Cerberus facility where he was experimented on. He bashed her skull in :(. There is also a Turian female soldier in Evolution. Then of course there is the Turian female that Garrus sparred before going on a military op and subsequently had a "rematch" with.

Actually I'm pretty sure they all required silver or above. I may be wrong but my impression was that it had to be done on silver or higher.

Assuming that they tell the truth, it's hard to judge just how many are killed.

Does each person in a group get individual credit for killing a brute.  In other words, when a brute dies, do all four people get credit for killing it, or does it simply count as only one brute kill?

As well, consider the 'low hanging fruit' nature of the goal.  Presupposed that 100,000 people played and completed a 'silver' ranking run against the Reapers for the event.

Even if each brute kill granted but one 'credit', at the bare minimum, five brutes spawn during such a run (more actually, but let's hit the low bar here).  That's 500,000 brutes killed.  That's assuming that 100,000 matches were had and then everybody stopped.

Obviously, this is not going to be the case.  I would wager that, out of the millions of games sold, far more than 100,000 people were playing multiplayer this weekend, and far more than 100,000 people managed to complete more than one silver run against the Reapers.  Especially with it being advertised so prominently.

However, I would imagine that even if the unthinkable did occur and somehow less than a million were killed, they would simply say otherwise.  Especially given the current level of brouhaha going on.  To further enrage the people playing, or to give them more ammunition, is simply unacceptable as an outcome.

Bottom line?  You'll get your victory pack as long as you did a mission, because there is no way in God's (or maybe I should say Starchild's) green earth that Bioware would allow any other outcome, especially given as they had no counter actively monitoring things so that they could inform people of how close to the goal they were getting.

So yes, if you played, you'll get your pack.  Without question.

They never specified what level the million Brutes have to be killed on but I'm pretty sure it is safe to assume it is for any level. If not, they would have said otherwise as they did with the Commendation Pack (extract from Reaper zone with silver or above).

The 1,000,000 brute goal is the community goal which is not to be confused with the squad goal. A brute kill is a brute kill, reguardless of difficulty.

Agreed, I understand why they didnt add some sexes of other races but they already made the male Quarian model, so why not?

As for the Salarians yeah they look the same either way lol but if they added it, the females could wear an armoured version of the Dalatrass robe or something. Same with a female Krogan, the female could wear a combat version of the garment "Eve" wore. (and yes I know that wouldnt make sense since female Krogan stay behind the fight, but hey its multiplayer! xP)

I know they probably wouldn't do this because of animation constraints but it would be hilarious if they gave
us the Hanar as a race.  Of course I would have to name it Blasto.

I'm confused why we have no feedback on this challenge yet? I understand everyone is crying about the credit loss or this player got reset, but considering the challenge ended at 5:00 am and no one earns their rewards till Tuesday why cant we know the count?? I've read other bioware post's saying "you'd be surprised how many you've killed before the Goliath challenge was issued" so it cant be that difficult to give or obtain feedback in this game also considering how many of us are on these forums or twitter or facebook yet nothing?

I hope PS3 users will get something to make up for it!
We are already missing out on the Battlefield 3 MP Soldier class and action figure DLC.
Make it happen Bioware!

Edit: also, releasing big DLC a week early on PS3 does not make up us for missing out on free stuff as we still have to pay for it. Im looking at you Battlefield 3 re: free Battlefield 1942:whistle:

So dont do that Bioware to make up for it please.:D
(if you do anything at all);)

Am I the only one that wants a vorcha?  Run around screaming "ME KILL!"  And their power-melee will be them jumping on the shoulders of the target and bitting their face off.

Just a thought.  Although, I think I'd need the ol' Firestorm to be a true vorcha.
