And what red tape would that be?  The red tape that allows Bioware to track everything that PS3 players do in-game, just like PC and Xbox?  The red tape that lets PS3 users get ME2 DLC and promotions??  The red tape that is LESS restrictive than Xbox's (Xbox DLC restrictions, PSN being free)?

The red tape that is insinuated by the bioware post directly above yours...

This is a good point. I have a lot of games with multiplayer elements and I've never heard anything about "red tape" before.

I believe those are first party titles (I could be wrong).

Haven't heard anybody having problems with Dark Souls. Nor with Red Dead, another multiplatform game I play online.

To be frank, its not like us PS3 players paid any less for the game, we want to get the most out of all the features, but it feels like Bioware is shafting us purposefully.

I'd agree that it must be a Sony issue, however, other online titles that are on both platforms don't have any of these kinds of issues, so pray tell me why its now Bioware.

Also, would be nice for Bioware to publicly address this issue as i imagine its going to haunt them more than the SP endings.

I was excited up until this point "this challenge is only in effect on xbox 360 and PC." Just make sure you make up to the Ps3 players next time for another mp event or challenge. Or you might just tell us right now that it is impossible to have mp event on ps3 and not leaving the Ps3 community in cliffhanger like what you do with the single player endings. Anyway, good job on the multiplayer and I will still have fun with it regardless of the mp event.

its simple. they dont support the PS3 community so the PS3 community just needs to stop supporting them. i for one have no problem making this my last purchase with this company. i could care less whos fault it is.

The other multiplatform titles on PS3 that have no problems with online events have also been out a lot longer than Mass Effect 3 has. This issue may not even come up again in the future, but time will tell.

No, Demon's Souls is not actually, in the west it's published by Atlus and Atlus held all the events, although it's PS3 exclusive. Red Dead Redemption is another example. Hell, even Dead Space 2 with it's stupid "kill-a-dev-get -his-skin" events.
You could tell us that this issue is out of hands of Bioware/EA, but since you can't I see MS money in this. It's well known that MS doesn't care about providing good content to it's users as much as providing timed exclusives.
