Man i wish i had energy left to actually be angry about it, but all i have is disappointment. not just about the nearly identical colour scheme and the total ripoff of the image but also that the songs meaning is pretty much what we got. Why there are so many examples where bioware didnt just simply drop the ball sometimes it was not even picked up. Some of the textures in the Purgatory are missing, The presidium commons look totally empty when looked at from Huerta Memorial. The stock images used in key moments of the game. its like their artistic department got downsized or was in severe depression.

3rd: Most of you don't understand how stock images and licensing works apparently and the fact that it is OKAY. There are companies that license the use of photographs to do what you will with them. It's not stealing. Bioware is using a licensed image (also in the case of Tali). What's the problem really? The Rock Band game uses actual songs from actual artists. It is no different. Fees are paid and companies do what they will with the media. In the case of Tali's picture, why would it be better if a Bioware employee took a picture of a woman and photoshopped her to look like they wanted Tali to look. You get the same end result if you use a random picture. You just didn't see the same picture from another source. I really don't understand the crying.


I'm not trying to be an apologist, far from it, as I can't stand the endings myself. But people are just wasting time now over ridiculous stuff like this.

The problem is I expected more from bioware then for them to take stock photos. It's lazy and demeaning to the fans. If that is how they are going to go about their games that's fine, but I'm not going to purchase them.

Daw, uploaded doesn't allow mobiles to watch. Looked up the lyrics online though and just...bleh. It's farfetched, but I can see how e connections are made.

Ok, let me try to think through the rage that's been building.

I agree. There's nothing wrong with taking stock images or even building small sequences around them - it saves them time and money and, quite frankly, can be just as good or better than something they spend a lot of their own effort on.

For instance, I think that the image itself, if it was indeed essentially taken or modified, is quite beautiful. In that regard, everything is fine.

But, if - as some people are implying - they discarded their promises on the ending (see the link in my signature for them, issue #5) so they can fit ME into the spirit of the song, then that is very very wrong. But I also agree that this, at the moment, may be reaching. (however, I heard the original script name of the Catalyst VI was 'starchild'. Is this correct? If so, then that is rather damning).

For Bioware certainly not. Almost everything from ME is a copy paste job. I bet if you dig enough you'd find two dozen IPs who can claim dibs on Bioware. Own IP my ass. Now go away troll you have bothered people in this thread enough.

the video was made by someone else, and does not show the artwork at all.

There is a time and place for things. I wouldn't tell a repe survivor a rape joke, just like I wouldn't tell a Jew a holocaust joke. Sure you might not like them and find them distasteful, but this is neither the time nor place to try and push your objective opinion on others.
