First, that image pops up as the vid background. It was uploaded last july!? Loooong before any of us could have known even a small glimmer of anything about the ending?

They don't really match word for word.

But it's the concept of the song. About giving into a force higher than you, and that force being from a different plain of existance. It talks about the end of world, as you are not able to save it. But then it also talks about your will to fight and continue creating life (as a natural instinct).

It's not word word for the ending to ME3, of course not. I think people are just drawing the comparison because: I. Song came out in 2004 II. It's called Star Child III. The photo used for the single is the same photo they used for the grandpa ending in ME3 III. The lyrics thematically are similiar to the Star Child at the Citadel.
