Cyber-ninjas haven't been cool since Grey Fox in MGS.

It just smacks of "lol animu ^_^" to me.

In principle, I have nothing against cyber-ninjas. I don't think they fit into the ME universe, but other than that, Kai Leng and phantoms don't bother me all that much.

I thought he was lame for several reasons

1 - Kanye West dress/coat thing - seriously?
2 - black "mask" - sorry, is it mardi gras time in the galaxy already?
3 - if he was so AWESOME, why didn't TIM mention him in ME2? Thane could've properly kicked his butt then and we wouldn't be stuck watching him and his glowy hand in ME3.

This kind of surprises me. I hated Kai Leng by the end and I couldn't wait to see where it went. They made him exactly the way they needed to as a villain. I just chalked up his look to his overwhelming cyber implants.

Though as a villian, he DID succeed. No other bad guy in the history of these games pissed me off more than he did.

Since Kai Leng was a ninja-assassin, didn't make sense for him to use a sword and not a gun? A gun would be too loud.

That bit was like Saren on Virmire. Easy kill followed by you lose cutscene.

He seemed to be able to get around most things and had his shield hand which was lovely and all, but in the battle's he'd somehow just keep summoning people or recharging his shields and that made me realize he was just a boss poorly designed despite if his character was cool or not.

It kind of explains 3 when you're in the Cerberus base checking the terminals. Basically the Illusive Man deliberately hand-picked people to give Shepard a 'positive' image of Cerberus so she wouldn't see the organisation for what it really was. This kind of explains why he wouldn't mention Leng, considering he's kind of the embodiment of Cerberus' anti-alien racism.

Also, a dying Thane basically kicks his ass. Thane is way better.

Oh please. Anime can be as ****ty as the Mass Effect ending or as great and well told like Cowboy Bebop.

Kai Leng was just ridiculous for many reasons.

To be fair, Cerberus didn't necessarily have a terrible image at that point in all regards, it was actually trying to do good, though whether he was indoctrinated or not at that point is up for debate.

Having the read the books, love the character, but the ninja suit came out of nowhere. I mean, he had jacked legs, not an entire jacked body

Seriously folks, Kai Leng may not have been optimally presented in the game (a poser) but was still good enough. Perfect enemy? No, Coming of as a bit ridiculous poser at times? Yes. But he was not Uber-lame and he was still pretty damn dangerous.

I thought he was kind of pathetic as a boss fight. If it weren't for his plot armor he would have been killed before summoning any reinforcements. On insanity, with an adept, I beat him to death with my smg. No powers required.

Am I the only one who liked him ? I even wanted him to come to my side but that was all shot to hell when you-know-what happened. He was as good as dead after that.
