Somehow, the panting/gasping sound effect has become stuck permanently on in any "combat" area (where you can draw weapons) for me. Loading old saves doesn't fix it, saving and reloading doesn't fix it, sprinting and then stopping again doesn't reset the sound effect. In fact, it actually starts playing the same looped breathing over itself, slightly out of sync.
Suggestions?
Sprinting "panting" sound effect stuck on

Hey, I've never heard or heard anyone else have that problem. Sounds like fun :S
Did it persist even after turning off/on the game? The parameter that controls the sprinting breathing is not stored in save games... so while I can understand it persisting when loading a save whilst experiencing the problem, i would expect it to not suddenly switch on if you're loading a save after just switching the game on.
Also, it should be switched off on the normandy/citadel... so going there may reset it.
Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for the prompt reply, Rob! I had just about decided to stop for the day and quit out when you did. Sure enough, firing the game back up and loading my last save DID fix the issue. I suppose I'll post here if it's a replicable bug, but for now I'll file it under "just one of those things.
Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly when the problem started, aside from "somewhere in the middle of combat". The sound mix is often so busy that it takes me awhile to notice some of the more subtle effects in the middle of explosions, gunfire, music, etc.
EDIT: Oh, but I can say that going to the Normandy -didn't- fix the problem, since I first noticed it during the Sur'Kesh mission, finished that mission, tooled around the Normandy for awhile, and then went to start the Recover Krogan Scouts mission where I realized the sound was still playing.

Interesting, thanks for the reply... glad you fixed it.
I agree that it probably is just 'one of those things'. Debugging all the sound events coming in from the game is absolutely mind boggling... To give you an idea, we were trying to track down a problem yesterday and there were hundreds of events coming in every second... so i wouldn't be surprised if occasionally the sound engine misses an event every million or something... of course if that's the 'stop breathing sound' event then you're going to hear it forever and it'll totally suck... which is why i always find the 'stop' events much more important than the 'play' events!
Thanks

I haven't seen another thread on this after a bunch of searches (and "breathing" turns up something entirely different).
I've had this same problem in my game. And it persists between game relaunches. As soon as I drop for a mission, I hear multiple instances of the panting noise. It stops on the Normandy and in the Citadel (except for the shooting range), and for cutscenes, and it can sometimes not restart for small gameplay sections between scenes, but as soon as I land for the next mission, it starts again.
It's pretty distracting, won't lie.

I would just like to say that I get this glitch ALL THE TIME and it is intensely annoying.

An update: I thought this might've been due to playing multiplayer and then going into a single player campaign, but it appears not. I haven't logged unto multiplayer again until an hourish ago after a couple days, yet earlier today (a good 8+ hours beforehand) I was hearing the panting. Rules that out. Though doesn't negate the possibility that it affects it.

Yes, let me emphasize what this poster stated.
ALL THE TIME!!!
I've seen it in single player & multiplayer. Only way to get rid of it is to exit game/go to main menu. Extremely annoying...

Just caught this again on another playthrough. It started (and continued all the way through) Thessia.

I may have narrowed it down some more. I've been noticing it more and more lately, and it's only been starting when I've been trying to skip through dialog/scenes. There's a brief period between scenes where sometimes your HUD will appear, and you can open the menu if you hit escape at the right time. I've been noticing it start after I've been hammering away at the spacebar between scenes.
