I've figured out how to adjust lid-to-lid eye width. I noticed that using eye shape 8, femshep looks a bit wild eyed. I wanted to narrow her eyes just a touch while maintaining the same shape.

In the Offset_Bones section in the head morph, find the Eyeblink_ entries. Lower the Z values by about 0.01 from where they start to narrow the eyes just slightly.

I noticed the Eyeblink_Left and Right have different Z values. Also, changing them slightly doesnt bring about any noticiable change, and changing by any larger value completely shuts the eye. Whats the optimal value, for example what value would you use to have ME2-like eyes in the 8th eye shape?

It ended up being my importer/exporter. I'm using a different one now and the problem has been cleared up.

Wow, so much effort on the X360. On the PC you can keep the save editor running in the background. Alt-Tab out of the game to make a change. Alt-Tab back in and load the edited save file. :police:

Looks great! Except for this little gap, did I do something wrong or is this normal right now? And if not, is anyone trying to fix this, it looks fantastic except for that little strand, if it was moved up or something it would look perfect!

OK, so because that little bit of clipping at the part was driving me crazy, through trial and error I mapped out the vertices for that region of the forehead and modified the values using the Gibbed editor to get rid of (most of) it. Here's the result:

And I've posted the instructions here. Patience and focus are required. Please PM me or comment if the instructions aren't clear. Back up your headmorph before trying this: It works for my femshep, but I have NOT tested it with other custom headmorphs.

It's not perfect; there's still some clipping, and you may notice some minor distortion of that area of the forehead from certain angles. But without the ability to actually visually edit the head model, this was the best I could come up with. Please feel free to refine it!!!

I'm not sure if the values will be the same for everyone. The left eye is the tricky one. Whoever designed it got it wrong, and it needs to be closed more than the right eye. My left eye started at 0.99. The right was at 1.04.

-- Set the Z values for left and right eyes the same.
-- Raise the left eye by about .02, to 1.06 in my case.
-- Close the left lid to about 0.92, the right to 0.96.

That should give you a sense for how it works. The whole thing makes me facepalm, since someone clearly didn't get this right when designing the various eye shapes.

. I've found putting it at about .92 is about right, but I also The right eye looks good at about .95

There's definitely a lot more effort and bs-ing around for the 360. I prefer to use a controller, but I have to give credit to the PC as a whole. Not so cumbersome editing ability, plus mods accessibility, and normally higher quality specs. Among other bonuses.

wow, thanks for the hair and the face structure! they look really cool.

I know that you can't get the freckles without the Makeup with the default structure (yet, at least), So i've been trying for hours to cover up the makeup with the editor, without much success. Does anyone know how to make it disappear, or how to cover the makeup to make it look more naturel?

Since it's already been shown how to cover up the lipstick and make it a more natural looking lighter shade I'll just mention what I've discovered regarding the eye make-up.
For the eyes what I did to get a tone down verison was use the values for the lightest skin color tone for both the eyeshadow tint and brow tint vectors and then I messed around with the scalar values for intensity.
The skin tone values I used are A: 1, B:0.436812758, G:0.6054843, R:0.9743002 but the color which works best for your Shep could depend on her original skin color.
I found that simply reducing the eyeshadow tint scalar and brow tint scalar down to zero also reduced the eye make-up for one of my Sheps, since the make-up 'stacks' on top of each other if your Shep is already wearing make-up it can make default's make-up look even heavier.

Do the left and right Z values have to be different? Can't I set the same value?

Here's a question. I'm trying to import/export a face (tiny, tiny problem, I just want to fix it). Could someone walk me through it? Where do I save a file when I export it? HALP.

I've been having an issue with the default femshep hair. It's fantastic Dizzig got it usable, but the darker hair colors revealed a remaining bit of visible head. I found that lowering the X-value by 1,0 point in the lines 362 - 368 solved it. Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but there it is. For those who prefer it, these are the values I used:
X-value
362 = 4,6
363 = 4,6
364 = 5,5
365 = 3,7
366 = 3,1
367 = 3
368 = 3,8

Total noob to modding here!  (xbox player)

I'm going to attempt this for the first time because of all your fantastic Femsheps!  They're making me uber jealous!

When doing the mods on the PC can I see my character's face?  Or will I have to load up, check face, go bacl to the PC, tweak, etc...??

Thanks in advance (and fingers crossed!)

Unfortunately for us Xbox players, there's no way to see what your mods will look like before reloading the save on the console. :\\ It's just the nature of the beast. With a little patience though you can get your FemShep looking great. Following tips in the modding guides posted in this thread will be a big help too. It's taken me some time (going back and forth from my Xbox to my PC) to get my Shep just the way I wanted, but it was worth it. Good luck! ^^

I'm currently adding the Default FemShep hairstyle for a NG+.

When editing the LOD Vertices to address clipping, am I correct in assuming LOD#0 through#3 must be edited?

EDIT: I guess I should've tried it, before posting. Only LOD#0 has values. Derp. :)

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I've been continuing to mess with it, and I guess Default!FemShep's face was made to be a "complete look". ;) ...Can't seperate the various parts. It just doesn't look good on my particular Shep because she's blonde and fairer-skinned, so all that dark make-up makes her look a tad...hooker-ish. XD Too bad they didn't just have the freckled complexion as an option to begin with, I think a lot of people would've liked that. Oh well, you can't heve everything in life. Thanks again for all your help and advice! I really appreciate it. :)

Well, I have no idea how to edit the default femshep textures at this point so I can't help with changing the eyebrows, but I tried changing the rest of the make-up and was somewhat successful. I'm no modder and I usually just play around with my save editor until it works somehow so yeah..

I hated the look of the lipstick (the texture and the color) so I tried to give my shep a lighter lipstick color. Took some time (like I said, I'm no modder :P) but I like the result now.

So more details for Gibbed..
3. Squad > Player > Appearance > Morph Head > ScalarParameters
HED_Addn_Spec_Lips_Scalar: 1
HED_Addn_SPwr_Lips_Scalar: 100
(thats for the "glossiness")
HED_Lips_Tint_Scalar: 0,028
3. Squad > Player > Appearance > Morph Head > VectorParameters
HED_Lips_Tint_Vector: B,G,R: 4,4,10

Depending on what kind of colour you want to have you have to experiment a lot with HED_Lips_Tint_Scalar and HED_Lips_Tint_Vector. Especially when it comes to light colours you have to be careful with the opacity otherwise your Shephard might end up looking quite "clowny". For colours I would look at a reference site like that. If the colours are given as percent color codes you just have to divide the values by 10 or 100 (depends on how intense / bright you want your colour to be).
In my case I just divided the colours by 10 because otherwise I didn't see any difference with how her lips looked (might be because of the default lip texture which is quite dark as a base).
Uff, my English sucks.
Hope it helps (anyone :P).

I'm in love with your shep and her lips! Simply beautiful!

Trying to put them on my shep but for some reason whenever I change the lip vectors nothing changes in game.
I know I'm doing it right, I've used gibbed many times before but my lips just won't change!

EDIT: Nevermind! Fixed it, thanks!

Trying to mod with Xbox...

My USB says it doesn't meet min requirements.  It's 16GB with nothing on it.  No idea what else it could be.  Will it effect performance or can I mod using the USB, transfer the game back to the Xbox and it will be fine?

Clearly.... I'm a modding idiot lol

Ooh, this is great! My Shep looks so awesome with the makeup + freckles!

Now, if someone could explain to me how to get the glowy green eyes you get when activating Prothean tech, I would be in heaven!

Also - what do I edit to make her mouth less wide?

Dizzig, thanks SO MUCH for the work you've contributed...I found your tutorial on getting Allers hair on my FemShep, and have been extremely pleased with 'her' new look! :D

Is it possible though, to add in some more 'body' to hair? For instance with Allers hair, the top seems flat. Almost like Shep just stepped out of the shower. So would that be something that could be made 'bigger'? I'm not looking for 80's BIG HAIR....but just something that makes Shep look like she's got a nice fuller head of hair.

And how do you remove freckles? Is there values in Gibbed that can be set to simply have them blend in with the skin tone? All these freckles on my Shep have her looking like "LiLo"...(Kinda insulting to my Shep actually) lol
