Okay i have a small problem. I just tried to enchant my spear to have an enchantment bonus of five, nothing on the spear had no enchantments i had been saving it up from buying it off of that weapon dealer in fort locke. Now here's the problem. when i put all the ingredient's together and cast the spell it says "No base armor or weapon found"
Okay so i do a quick double check , have all the correct essences, have the spear (obviously) have craft magic arms and armor feat and my crafting skill's are pretty high. I've tried a few times, even with a few different spear's i bought, and nothing seem's to be working. Any idea"s?
No spear enchanting?

I just had Sand sharpen up a stick and enchant it to +5 without problem.
I do NOT have the basic, out-of-the-box game; I have many fixes in overrides, fully updated, etc., so I can't say with certainty that you should get the same results...
... but there's never been anything I recall that spears had any problem being enchanted. I suspect operator error because if the base weapon data were actually missing, you wouldn't even see the spear; the program omits items/creatures/classes etc. if it can't find the relevant files.
Unfortunately, your post is too general to tell what could be wrong. You say you have the right essences - which essences? Do you have the Blue Diamond? Are you using the Magician table, not the Blacksmith or Alchemist ones? Are you a high enough caster level? Which spell are you actually casting? You also say your "crafting skill's are pretty high" - they actually don't come into it at all, so are you putting in something extra like a spear mold, or perhaps trying to use the smith hammer? Come to think of it, are you trying to enchant a spear mold?

Essences are glowing air essence and glowing power essence yes have blue diamond am using magician's table very high caster level (lvl. 16) nope no spear mold not using hammer, using the spell light,and as, i have said, tried with more than one spear. Same results.

It sounds like you should be using the Complete Craftsman mod. There are a bunch of weapons left out of crafting in vanilla NWN2. There are two versions: NWN2 OC & the Expansion Version.
I would never go back to playing NWN2 without mods.

Pretty much the only weapon I enchanted in the OC was a +5 Shocking Spear for Elanee.
Are you using a masterwork spear? I think the spear much be of a special material (e.g. duskwood, ironwood, etc) or already have a magical bonus to be enchanted.

Hey sorry for the long reply time, been in a place without internet connection. Okay so i just tried to craft from nothing, i.e i took duskwood plank, then spear mold, crafting worked fine, then tried to enhance. same problem. Oh well, guess no enchanted spears for me. Anyway what was that about Complete Craftsman mod?

I tend to have her use a bow, but done the same for her and allso for my spear/sourceror playthrough....His spear would make most storm lords cry by time I was done with it. +4 (wasn't lvl 15 yet), Shocking, Keen and forgot what I made it out of though.The Fred wrote...

I never had any crafting issues in OC, it's the expansions like SoZ and there crafting system I can't get to work for the life of me. Luckly those mods are above starting char level so I just make the weapon in a char builder and port them in, even if the weapons is more for there higher level (end mod).
When you crafted in the blacksmith bench, did you move it over to the magician to enchant? You do have the armor and weapons feat to enchant right?
