Is if the ending is so out-there and interesting that Bioware wanted _everyone_ to have made their near-end decisions before the consequences of that decision were revealed.

The second the pre-downloads were out all the cutscene movies were viewable. Any "big" ending would be splashed all over the internet, potentially impacting releases in other territories and if the twist is really... twisty and fragile to spoilers then shipping out the actual ending afterward _might_ seem to make sense.

This isn't me supporting a dream or indoctrination theory specifically, this is more wondering how the current situation could have ever got past the people thinking of this series as a business.
