I love that...

At first we decided to kill both of your squadmates in front of you. Then we decided it was pretty stupid to kill off characters based on the fact that you picked them to come with you. So then we just removed the scene and hoped no one noticed the gigantic disconnect.

..Also they're on the Normandy.

Yeah i laughed my head off at that. Who thought railroading murdering squadmates was a good idea in the first place needs their head examined. However rather than do something different they just plotholed them to the Normandy because they obviously thought no one would care at the plothole the size of the Atlantic ocean.

On Tali's Face
We eventually decided that she gives you a memento of her pictures, but the team was throwing around a lot of pictures and designs until we decided on something and said "Yup, that's her".

I don't buy that.

Going forward, how about we actually let other members of the team tear apart ideas to see if they really make sense, rather than just letting one writer do what he or she wants? The ending, as we have it now, contains some good seed ideas, but the way it was executed doesn't make sense, and there was room for more permutations and possibilities. I have the sneaking suspicion that the options we see were dictated more by the budget for endgame cinematics than anything else. They repurposed almost everything for the various endings, and the color-coded explosions only show how recycled the resources were. I could have liked the endings a lot more than I do, and I don't even hate the endings, but they just seem rushed and incomplete to me. And there's NO real denouement whatsoever. We needed to see Reaper-cussions. Get it? Reaper-cussions? Never mind...

So, hopefully all involved have learned something, and the next game trilogy will be planned a little better.

Does it say anything about the magical teleporting, ressurecting characters and why the Normandy would be trying to flee?

And even in November the gameplay team was still experimenting with an
endgame sequence where players would suddenly lose control of Shepard's
movement and fall under full reaper control. (This sequence was dropped
because the gaemplay mechanic proved too troublesome to implement
alongside dialogue choices).

Found that part interesting.

I think it's a dead giveaway that the 'indoc' theory is true.

^^ This...

Guys..this more or les reaffirms the indoctrination Theory. The final squadmates dead yet them being on that ship, I mean come on..there's no way such a glaring error would go unnoticed. Roll out the True ending DLC Bioware and stop trolling!

It was meant to be a sequence in game, not the "ending", if it was they would've done another variation of it. They said they scrapped the whole idea cause it just didn't work. They implicitly state that the ending as is, is the actual ending,a nd they have no plan for post-ending DLC or anything of the sort.

All the information shows that the intend the stuff at the end is *actually* happening, they just watered it down from what they originally had because they didnt want people to have all the answers because it "takes away from the experience". AKA they done stupid decisions here.

There is no reference to when the Reaper was supposed to take control, and no reference if it was to be in conjunction with the starchild. For all we know, both events were intertwined but instead of making it obvious that Shepard was indoctrinated, they removed a sequence.

No proof or disproof, but I'm clutching my last thread of hope. Otherwise what's up with the easter egg of Shep breathing?

They removed it soley for mechanics reasons, so obviously it wasnt critical to the plot. I know you're just holding onto hope, but let this fuel you to join the rest of us in urging a rework of the ending instead of continuing what has been the ultimate form of grasping at straws.

The ending was intentional, actually happened, and was originally meant to be fuller and more informative but they purposeful watered it down because they wanted shock value and random speculation. Nothing more, no grand plan, just that.

Hey, so it is a video. They have 6 deleted scenes. Each one with the FINAL version beside it. In the final scene they have, you CLEARLY see garrus and liara's bodies. I personally didnt see this in my ending...

So they actually thought that the deaths of two of your squadmates, characters with such importance weren't even worth sparing a few seconds worth of cutscene and decided to just let them lie down there like some random soldier.

And not only that but they even failed to implement this properly into the game? This is just ridiculous.

I don't think that they would give away the true ending in an app that everyone can buy especially after making a huge deal on twitter and BSN about not wanting to say anything that would give too much away before everyone else had a chance to play. Every statement that Bioware makes contradicts a previous one they made earlier as does this. Call me naive or deluded but I really don't think this is the end and will continue to hold the line.

They asked money for this app? WTF you guys. This is the kinda stuff they should share for free. Failing that, they could have at the very least added behind-the-screens info like this to the CE. Instead we get useless mech-dog.

Seriously, the fact that they charge money for info like this pisses me off.

Well they certainly got everyone speculating, debating, and thoerizing. Sounds like that's all they wanted. Guess they think that will make it "unforgetable". Well I never forgot the time my friend got drunk a vomited all over my car seat either. So much for unforgetable.

This is it for me, there's no light at the end of the tunnel. It is what it appeared to be originally: a derivative, tone deaf, piece of s**t. Those two pseudo intellectual, artless morons and everyone else at Bioware that nodded their heads, that didn't raise their hands and say 'that betray the vision and spirt of the entire franchise, are you on crack?' - should be slapped. There is nothing redeeming or worthwile about that ending, nothing artistic, good or true. It is a complete and utter betrayal worthy only of contempt, disgust and rage. Screw you Bioware.

At least I now have that bit of closure.

Yea.  :(

I guess the bright side is we can get rid of Origin spying on us as well.  Only reason I have it is becasue of ME3.

@ericjdev
Not only that, but someone shouldve said ...

Hey wait.  We promised answers and closure!!  Your on record promising it say there will be no questions left ... not   LOTS OF SPECULATION!

Also, on record as promising endings. Not 1 ending recolored.

We cant do this to our fans.

Guys, it is indeed still possible for the indoctrination theory, I wouldn't say this supports or negates it really, especially since they were actually talking about and considering having your Shepard get indoctrinated in there.

Not saying I'm inclined to believe or disbelieve the theory but just saying this doesn't really affect it at all.

But yes, I don't be buying any DLC unless the Ending ****e is resolved, and if it never is then I will never purchase ze DLC and will be alot more selective and cautious in any future BW games I purchase - feels like **** has hit the fan ever since they succumbed to EA, I have to admit :/

Technically, any change made to the ending such as those we've been asking for, would occur before the ending - like when Shep gets blasted. That happens before the end.

You know, I would have been more okay if they would have just been honest with us.

The fact that they lied to us in marketing tells us that they knew we would hate the reality and probably not buy the game, so they told us what we wanted to hear so we'd buy it. If they'd been honest and said, "Your choices won't matter in the end, and there's no real closure," no one would have bought the game...

This pretty much kills the Indoc Theory, in my book. He actually, honestly thought he could punt the ending and get away with it. *shakes head*
