Hey, so it is a video. They have 6 deleted scenes. Each one with the FINAL version beside it. In the final scene they have, you CLEARLY see garrus and liara's bodies. I personally didnt see this in my ending...

So they actually thought that the deaths of two of your squadmates, characters with such importance weren't even worth sparing a few seconds worth of cutscene and decided to just let them lie down there like some random soldier.

And not only that but they even failed to implement this properly into the game? This is just ridiculous.

What I find stupid about this part too, is after all that you went through, you getting an almost direct hit from Harbinger's beam of doom. Shepard is the one that survives barely and the two team mates behind you who didn't get the direct hit died? Dafuq?

Even then this doesn't make sense.

I guess it's official that Hudson lost his mind somewhere last year... from "Deception is the greatest!" to this.... I have no words. And no trust.

*dies (a little) inside*

Mac Walters on the Star Child/Reapers
"Originally, with the catalyst, the star child at the end of the game, I had written that much more in the guise of a investigative style conversation, where there is something he tells you but then, you get to ask a bunch of questions and you get your questions answered. But then me and Casey talked and decided, lets keep the conversation "High level". Give you the details that you need to know, but don't get into the stuff that you don't need to know. Like "How long have they been reaping?" You don't need to know the answers to the mass effect universe. So we intentionally left those out"

Deleted Scenes Videos:
- Liara and Garrus are running behind sheppard in the run for the conduit. Garrus falls over and Liara tries to pick him up. As he gets up, the two run and are hit by a laser as sheppard watches on without hope. In the final version (which is shown beside the deleted scenes video.) the body of your team mates are on the floor dead instead.

WHY? why did they drop this? the miraculous disappearance of you squadmates, the non-conversation with starchild, lack of insight on the reapers background and joker's "betrayal" are what makes this ending so unbearable IMHO (i admit that a happy ending would have been nice and even important to the fans, no matter what BW considers canon).

but my shepard would have died anyway and i expected to loose a lot of friends in the final battle against the reapers - when i ran down that hill, got hit by the laser and woke up to the comm chatter "everyone's dead" i thought "awesome" (i love the atmosphere of despair featured throughout the game, really sucked me into it: now i DO fear the reaper) and went looking for the bodies of my squadmates, but no: they just disappeared.
then i encountered TIM and i liked that scene, i even liked starchild at first (imho an AI that took the form of the boy featured in shepards dreams, not the other way around) and was looking forward to get some closure on the reapers, but hell no. dialogue dropped because they felt that way. effing bastards.

You know, I would have been more okay if they would have just been honest with us.

The fact that they lied to us in marketing tells us that they knew we would hate the reality and probably not buy the game, so they told us what we wanted to hear so we'd buy it. If they'd been honest and said, "Your choices won't matter in the end, and there's no real closure," no one would have bought the game...

Closure is too video-gamey.

Me: Wake up Bioware
Bioware: Where are we?
Me: Mass Effect 3's ending. It is my life.
Bioware: We need to fix this. Everyone is pissed. We fear for our lives.
Me: You have three choices. The blue path will let you fix everything. Follow up on the Indoctrination theory that your fans created for you. If you take the green path you can ignore everything, lose 80% of your fanbase and eventually die as the company that ****ed up Mass Effect. Or the red path, where you can try to justify your actions, ultimately fail and die as the company that ****ed up Mass Effect.
Bioware: The only reasonable option seems to be the blue one. Why wouldn't we pick that?
Me: The DLC must be free.
Bioware: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Muahahahaha, Bioware facing the three choices of death they created for us...i like it.

soon they will create endings to stop people getting upset by endings by creating new endings to stop people getting up set by endings.

It makes perfect sense.

Guys, it is indeed still possible for the indoctrination theory, I wouldn't say this supports or negates it really, especially since they were actually talking about and considering having your Shepard get indoctrinated in there.

Not saying I'm inclined to believe or disbelieve the theory but just saying this doesn't really affect it at all.

The question is, are we seeing remnants of the idea or the successful implementation of the idea?

Fleet - this is better, truly it is.

They screwed up. Mistakes can be rectified, we just need to keep giving them reason to do so.

This is it for me, there's no light at the end of the tunnel. It is what it appeared to be originally: a derivative, tone deaf, piece of s**t. Those two pseudo intellectual, artless morons and everyone else at Bioware that nodded their heads, that didn't raise their hands and say 'that betray the vision and spirt of the entire franchise, are you on crack?' - should be slapped. There is nothing redeeming or worthwile about that ending, nothing artistic, good or true. It is a complete and utter betrayal worthy only of contempt, disgust and rage. Screw you Bioware.

To be fair to the underlings its hard to dissent with your two bosses. But yeah It looks like a few key people got too full of themselves and took the whole thing down.

At least now we have closure on your squad mates. They were killed by Harbinger and ----{DATA_CORRUPTION}---alking out of the Normandy at the end. Thank god someone finally addressed that.

And yeah... it looks as though this is evidence to disprove the indoctrination theory...

How??
They had the idea of Shep being indoctrinated, so because they said the mechanics of him 'moving' and still having dialogue choices was hard, means that cutting it removes the indoctrination all together??

I believe this is incorrect and that they just let the player move aroudn as they saw fit.

Alright peeps listen up carefuly. This is our chance to win the fight not just hold the line

Someone in charge of the whole movement, get this stuff, and publish it, send it every single person you can. Make sure a website or two get a sniff of it as well. This will turn the tide in our favor 100%.

USE IT.

Secondly, I want Mark Walters' head on a plate so I can **** in his mouth. The lead writer along with the project manager ruined the best series ever... You dont deserve nothing from us.

this^

With asinine comments like that in bold, I think people like you don't deserve anything. And it's Mac Walters - if you're going to be uncivil and flip out like that because you're upset about the endings, at least you can get his name right.

Did I mention your name anywhere? Did I imply I give a crap about what you have to say or think about my reaction to the demolishing of 5 years of effort? No I did/do NOT.

Im dead serious I want his head.

Oh and by the way my all knowing friend, I NEVER liked Walters - EVER - I just had a bit of faith in him, now I want his head. Period.

Go ****** someone else off.
