All future games from all developers will carry the blurb "Mac and Casey had nothing to do with the ending of this game" as a selling point.

Hopes crushed. They actually thought this godchild thing was a good idea.

I know, right? I wouldn't have minded if it was indoctrination, a lot better than a derpy starchild who contradicts itself, synthetics and organics can't make peace, I just did with the Geth and Quarians.

Your mistake is believing the peace is everlasting and that there is no possibility for the Geth,or some other synthetic, to take on organics.

How the might have fallen...

Wonder if there's enough left in that company to pick itself up.

So explain to me why you thought the Godchild was a good idea:
Explain why you thought destroying the Mass relays was a good idea.
Explain why Joker was deserting the battle.
Explain how a green beam of light alters the DNA of EVERBODY in the galaxy.
Explain why we should believe the star child..
Explain why the crucible needed Shepard in the first place...

It's a shame they sacrificed actually telling the story in the name of creating "buzz" and speculation about the ending. It seems like the former would be more important to a company whose mission statement is "to create the best story-driven games in the world."

Bioware: "Assuming Direct control, will now ruin ending"

Us: "No we won't let you!"

Bioware: "This will Hurt you."

Maybe its because the creators are biased toward their own idea. they never took a real fan of the series, and had them play the ending. If they did that, it might have helped them choose a different way to end the series.

That's it though. I guess this means I'll never purchase bioware merchandise ever again. Farewell. It was nice knowing you guys.

I'm probably alone in this (or not), but it seems to me that most of the stuff they cut out...I actually LIKED...

Anderson's final dialogue with Shepard included...

They discuss the dialogue for anderson they cut as well. Everyone on their team liked it but Casey said it was "too long for the moment".

And now everytime I end the game I'll remember the long and amazing conversation that it could have been with Anderson and wasn't because Casey thought was too long... are you serious man...:?

There needs to be a sticky poll at the top of the forum where you can choose whether you think Shepard was indoctrinated and there is more to come or whether the endings we saw are all that Bioware intended.

Lots of people still in denial with the hold the line thing lol. Eventually youll get to the conclusion that this is the real ending, whenever its terrible or not. The fact is, what ever we say wont change the ending, they wont change the ending, there is no other ending.

You cant get them to change their story, it was never your story. It was like a book where you chose your path. You chose your path you dont write the story yourself, ending included. You didnt like it, go sell it back and never buy bioware products again. The story are their artwork, the end of it sucked, they got to stand by what they done. Petition to change movies ending dont work, to change books ending dont work, to change video game ending wont work either.

yes because you can never get things changed in a video game.

fall out 3 never got changed at all pfft.

It still sucked with the changes. You cant redem something bad like that it sticks. Theres no way they can remake this ending without yet reusing space magic or forced deus ex machine or a good old mcgaffin. END THEN SHAPARD WOKE UP IT WAS ALL IN HIS HEAD, THE LITTLE KID HELP HIM FIGHT THE REPEAR... BUT BUT I SAW SHEPARD AWAKE IN RED ENDING. Im sure bioware wasted thousands of dollards on CGI movies for a fake ending too.

yeah because i belive the endings fake? good job.

i dont believe the endings fake i believe its the most incompetent way to end a great triology.

and? yeah it still sucked with the changes doesnt mean the changes if they did any to mass effect 3 would to, yeah it sticks but it would be better than this god damn pile of garbage..

your point was that we cant get bioware to do it... yet other companies can and will in the same situation... sure. wth.

The only thing that behind the scenes stuff shows is how they planned and decided on the ending we have now. I mean they did have to come up with it and plan it out. They're not going to show the real ending if there is one.

I'm not sure how Casey thought we wouldn't be interested in learning wtf the Reapers are. All I'm getting from this glimpse of them scrapping the dialogue wheel with the StarChild is:

"We just exist, and we want you to destroy you because you can't handle AI's in the future."

Uh. What? That's just having a bad guy for the sake of having a bad guy. No purpose, no history, no gratifying undertanding of WHY the Reapers were hell-bent on destroying advanced life.

That's pathetic. I'm glad to know at least the writers had it right the first time. Too bad it got scrapped. What the sh!t.
