I know, right? I wouldn't have minded if it was indoctrination, a lot better than a derpy starchild who contradicts itself, synthetics and organics can't make peace, I just did with the Geth and Quarians.Giskler wrote...
Hopes crushed. They actually thought this godchild thing was a good idea.

And they think providing an app that shows their incompetence and lack of connection to their audience is a good thing to provide fans?
Logical failure... but I suppose for the people that designed that ending its actually par.
Communication is a good thing. You cannot say they are disconnected *because* they are open to their fans. Open doors means a lot, regardless of how it turns out.

It just felt...video gamey?? THIS IS A VIDEO GAME!!!!Casey on the End Boss
We had the final fight with the Illusive man in the game, but it just felt very Video Gamey. It didnt fit in with the themes. And really, is there a point of the end boss if only for the sake of an end boss?
I'm sorry that logic just baffles me.
And an end boss for the sake of an end boss is better than no end boss at all. Come on, that wasn't something that needed to be "fixed"
I don't see how "themes" factors in when the current ending doesn't seem to do any better...
Actually, the lack of an "end" boss is one of the things that I was MASSIVELY impressed with about this game. I think for video games to go anywhere they have to begin breaking away from the tried-and-true formulas of the past -- "final" bosses being one of them.

I flipped some tables.
Also from what I understand they weren't commenting on the endings so that Geoff Keighley could get his $2.99. I really don't know what to say anymore Bioware.

I would venture to guess that it was one of those ideas that seemed alright before it was realized, and by that time it was way too late. It's really easy to mistake to say "well it's bad now, but I'm sure it'll be better once we finish working on it."

Sorry Bioware, but if you have so little respect for your fans, I don't think I want to be one anymore.

I went onto my Ipad to grab this app. Then I saw the $2.99 price tag. Nope. Sorry. Bioware hasnt regained access to my wallet yet. And from what I'm seeing posted in this thread, I'm not feeling wrong.

From his website: http://www.me3finalhours.com/Q: What did you think of the ending? Is this addressed in the story?
A: I've seen the uproar online about the ending and understand the fan perspective. Personally I respect the creative choices the team made and had no problems with how the story ended -- it made you feel something, even if that feeling was uncomfortable.
The Final Hours addresses the challenges BioWare faces in writing a story with defined parameters in a game environment where players want to feel like they have choice. Ultimately your opinion on the ending will depend on who you see as the "author" of Mass Effect's story -- BioWare or the player.
The ending of the game is discussed in the App and there are some notes from the team about how they were thinking about the ending. Since this story was completed before the public release of the game, I do not address the fan petitions or reaction. I hope to update the story with a new chapter on this down the road.

Well, that's about it for me. They chose to end the game vaguely to create speculation. I truly hope they understand that what they've actually done is jettison a decent portion of their fanbase off into space. All this information does is make me sick, so I'm going to have to stop paying attention now.
Sorry Bioware, but if you have so little respects for your fans, I don't think I want to be one anymore.
Unfortunate, but true... had my heart broken for the last time.

I have to agree with this. I didnt need an end boss to the game. The fact that I am about to sacrifice myself to save millions, if not trillions, of beings is way better than defeating any boss.

Get over yourselves Bioware, you make videogames for consumers. Not one more nickel for these poseurs and their delusions of grandeur.
