Seriously I'm waiting for the day I wake up, check Yahoo and see some poor soul committed murder or suicide over these endings.

Yeah, the Normandy & teleporting squadmates part is what should be addressed/fixed, the rest is good.DiebytheSword wrote...
I found the endings serviceable, minus Joker's wild ride that made zero sense in the context of what came of your last conversation with him and what his standing orders were. There is no room for speculation there, you bothered to show that. Now you need to explain it.

You know... this proves it wasn't EAs fault. I wonder if the EA executives are PISSED at them as well now.
SOmeones getting fired (Casey/Marc) I hope.
I always urged people to not level the blame solely at EA.
Yes, EA might rule over them, but this was still their project at heart, and they put out the product they wanted.
They deserve all the hate they get.

LOOK AT THE POLLS AND STOP TALKING OUT YOUR ASS. If it was 60:40 yes maybe that's polarizing. 90:10 is not.

On Tali's Face
We eventually decided that she gives you a memento of her pictures, but the team was throwing around a lot of pictures and designs until we decided on something and said "Yup, that's her".
"So... we have these awesome artworks by some fans... we have awesome artworks by our own artists.... LETS USE A RANDOM STOCK PICTURE!"
*everybody cheers*

Mac, your 'lots of speculation' makes Ron Moore's 'it's the characters, stupid' shower vision start to appear genuinely insightful.
Just got back from trading in one of my two copies. I bought The Witcher 2; should be OK. First copy will remain here for a few weeks as I watch BioWare's reaction and gauge their willingness to fix this colossal mistake of theirs.
Regardless, I won't be picking up TOR as I had planned on doing this weekend and if I do decide to try out Dragon Age I won't be supporting the company with a purchase.
Save yourself the money and don't get SWTOR. It's great for like a week, but has no endgame at all. And last time I was on the servers were dying so it was only getting worse.
Wow, JeffZero returning the game. These are dark days indeed.
Wow, JeffZero not returning the second copy. These are dark days indeed.
I'm giving the devs 28 days to announce a postgame DLC. Four weeks. It's much easier to hang onto the game than go out and buy it again should such a thing come to pass.
They sure as hell clearly had no plans to make any postgame DLC before but there's a slim chance the outpouring of ending negativity has altered that stance. And I've been part of too many successful campaigns (and really, you only ever need to have been part of one to feel this way) to turn in all my chips so quickly.

They broke a simple rule in Creative Writing 101. When finishing a story, simply finish it.
Instead of going with the correct ending or the right ending, they wanted to be flashy. That's a case of the writer bending the story to his/her will instead of simply allowing it to work itself out.
This was talked about in the "writers' opinions" thread.
"Simply finish the story." Or, "Let the story finish itself."
Stephen King once said, "It is the story, not he who tels it." [paraphrasing]
Yeah, I'm a writer myself, and finishing the story is more important than what they thought was a great idea. <_<
Exactly ... I am ameteur and I know this.... I just can't
really right know my brain is having trouble grasping that they though this was good.
Same here....
If they don't fix this problem, I'm going to write the ending myself.

Exactly right. They believed their own hype... It's a shame really. I hope this backlash is a humbling experience... and they make amends.tamperous wrote...
So this pretty much confirms that my theory that the ME3 team became a bunch of self-worshiping, pretentious art-snobs.
Get over yourselves Bioware, you make videogames for consumers. Not one more nickel for these poseurs and their delusions of grandeur.
Otherwise I can see the repercussions lasting a long time. "Remember ME3" could be a battlecry for every BioWare release for the next 10 years.

It's not artistic vision. Artistic vision implies that you care about your product. If they cared about the product, they wouldn't have half-assed it or contradicted their own themes and lore.
And it sure as hell wasn't for the fans.
It's like they don't care about the wonderful universe they've created. It's like they don't care about all the people who have come to enjoy it so much. It's like they don't even care about themselves, like they can't even be assed to maintain their own integrity and standard of quality.
Well, lookie here, Bioware: You know why I enjoyed your games so much?
Because when I played them, I honestly felt like the people behind it gave a damn.
If and when I make my own sci-fi universe, I swear to never let my passion die at the most critical moment like this. And if it does, if my heart's truly not in it, then I'll hand my work over to the people who still care. The fans. The rest of the team. Whatever.
I think I've finally found my life goal.
Guys, I'm creating the next great sci-fi IP. Who's with me?
(Feral, Dieby, and the rest of the gang: I already know you're in on it. Let's do this together!)
