That's not just horrible PR--that's a downright insult.RinjiRenee wrote...
Making fans pay $2.99 to tell everyone that they don't intend to explain the endings (that it was their goal to cause confusion and "speculation") was a horrible PR move IMO.

It's starting to get really discouraging, you know?
I mean I know that the game hasn't been out for long but the more I see stuff like this the more I just want to keep shouting this.
Oh, and this.
But at the same time I'm becoming more conflicted because there are tweets from BioWare that said if we knew what they were planning we would hold onto our copies forever, keep our saves, or even questioning the endings... along with some saying that they can't say more without spoiling.
So what the hell is it, BioWare? Is there more to the ending(s) in which we will later get a true ending that reflects our choices or is this all we get?
Don't trust anything BioWare or what any of their devs say. If anything is proven by ME3 and its endings then it is that Bioware are frickin lied to the fans

I'm surprised EA havn't stepped in with their Hammer of Great Justice and started clobbering Bioware for this. They've done MASSIVE damage to their rep and EA's and this is only the beginning, it's getting worse by the day. They've also done HUGE damage to SWTOR, EA's goldmine/Activision challenger, you know, that little title that had the biggest development budget of all time?. Forbes really got it right.

They have a flowchart for this linear popamole shooter? Do Gears of War and Uncharted have have flowcharts for all the many "variables" they have too?
I don't know why they didn't add that TIM boss fight. It's not like they gave a damn about the integrity of his character in the first place.
The flowchart is if you die you have to go back a couple minutes. It's hard to keep these things organized, you know?

LISTEN UP! WE GOTTA DO OUR PART AS CONSUMERS AND LET EVERY OTHER COMPANY KNOW THIS WON'T FLY!
Go to Amazon or any other site you can VOTE on and rate ME3 DOOOOOWN!!!
Pettiness won't solve anything. We shall hold the line, and even if we fail in getting a new ending, it can't be as bad as not giving BioWare a chance to rectify their mistake.
Pettiness? This is simple economics, and the only effective way to protest.

Casey on after Mass Effect 3
"Whatever we do would likely happen before or during the events of Mass Effect 3, not after"On Deciding the End of the Game
The illusive man boss fight had been scrapped... but there was still much debate. 'One night walters scribbled down some thought on various ways the game could end with the line "Lots of speculation for Everyone!" at the bottom of the page.'
In truth the final bits of dialogue were debated right up until the end of 2011. Martin sheen's voice-over session for the illusive man, originally scheduled for August, was delayed until mid-November so the writers would have more time to finesse the ending.
And even in November the gameplay team was still experimenting with an endgame sequence where players would suddenly lose control of Shepard's movement and fall under full reaper control. (This sequence was dropped because the gaemplay mechanic proved too troublesome to implement alongside dialogue choices).
So from this... the ending is likely to not change, and it was deemed more important to finish the game with speculation instead of giving actual closure to the game. And basically indoctrination was going to happen. This makes me feel like the indoctrination theory is still valid and that they just didn't implement the loss of control. Sigh. I don't know... I was really hoping they'd fix the ending somehow or add onto it.

And at times like this i am thinking that piracy can be noble.
Heh, there was an article somewhere about "Ethical Piracy" - now I'm beginning to understand what they meant with it. Not that it helps me with my PC version.
It all leads to consequences though - yes, Bioware, the last years with your games made me choose certain actions - lets see if you like the ending.

Yeah... I don't see a line either, I just see one massive fleet of angry/sad people wanting them to fix this "thing" they call an "ending" myself included
Still holding

To The Fleet: I share your pain and frustration over this disheartening news. It is indeed a sad day for fans. But we must not give in to despair. Shepard and our friends in the ME universe deserve better than this filth!!! Shepard would not accept this, despite what Casey believes/wrote. We kno better. We are Shepard, each and everyone of us. We made the choice to save/kill the council. We made the tough call on Virmire. And we must once again pick ourselves up out of the dirt, and fight. Our stories cannot, must not end like this.
I AM COMMANDER SHEPARD AND I WILL HOLD THE LINE!!!!
Pain and frustration are a little off...
I'm pissed...very, very ,very pissed. I deal with a lot of things, I have dealt and still deal with a lot of things
On of the hobbies that I have to relax, unwind and get way are videos games.. I am not the smartest person in the world by no means. I gerenally an easying going polite, sometimes sardonic but goofy person.
Bioware is outright insulting mine and our intelligence. They have been pampered for years but having a loyal fan base, that is very forgiving of mistakes. They took that for granted...
Holding the line.

And if they're actually serious about this ending, 100% serious, they've better made some recordbreaking profit with Mass Effect 3 cause it might just be the last game they can sell to an intact fanbase.
But the more I think about it, the more I think they can't be serious. I mean, even Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is mostly there to affect the Singleplayer. If there's no incentive to go through the singleplayer (or any Mass Effect game, for that matter) again, Mass Effect 3 will die. Period. They won't sell any DLC, if they don't patch things up, literally.
