I don't understand... if the "final version" of the game has your squadmates die in the laser attack...

Then why did I see them both crawl out of the Normandy at the end? Is that even explained?

And yet how many people are still playing multiplayer? Or will buy the DLC?

Their plan for dealing with this whole backlash seems to have been to lie low, hope for the outrage to die down and maybe hope for people's energy to run out. This reveal works because it might cause most people to give up and just accept it. I bet Bioware or EA did the numbers or strategized and figured losing a portion of this fanbase and perhaps just abandoning the ME franchise was preferable to the alternative. They would just count on casuals or first-time buyers convinced by a full court press ad campaign like what they had for ME3 the next time around. It's not even guaranteed most people will stay outraged-- they might just give up and accept and move on.

If this whole Retake thing really wanted to make an impact, it would have to get much better organized. One good way is to encourage people to NOT play multiplayer. Show them emptiness and tell them the whole thing is unacceptable. This will suggest that future multiplayer DLC will fail, and possibly future single player DLC as well since it suggests nobody wants to play ME3. Talking about holding the line and logging in to post angry messages on a forum just won't cut it.

I really hope that Bioware make a new ending, but my cynicism tells me to doubt it. I guess I will just ahve to move away from the ME series and look for another Sci-Fi avenue...

And even in November the gameplay team was still experimenting with an endgame sequence where players would suddenly lose control of Shepard's movement and fall under full reaper control. (This sequence was dropped because the gaemplay mechanic proved too troublesome to implement alongside dialogue choices).

They didn't rule out that Indoctrination never happend. So, yeah- sup?

This doesn't rule out anything, the ending is so obvious Indoctrination, and it's planned to get a closure in the DLC. Are people even reading the Bioware staff tweets? It's ridicilous.

Vote it down!

Done.  I reviewed it and gave it ONE star overall.

I can heartily recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played ME1 or 2, doesn't give a crap for the series, and is willing to wait until it is in the bargain bin and snap it up for $9.

I just cancelld my SWTOR account. I'm done Bioware, thanks and good night!

What a melodramatic overreaction lol.  "I am so angry about the ending of one game that I am going to stop playing a different game made by a different team in a  completely different series just because it was made by the same developer."

Because it's totally not hypocritical to continue to pay a monthly fee to a company that lies to consumers and doesn't seem to care.

Mass Effect Thanks for all of your impassioned responses. You are not being ignored and will be getting more answers soon: http://social.biowar...5/index/9992961

Was posted a few minutes ago on Facebook. The responses are on the new Application they linked and most so far are not happy responses.

We've all made bad decisions in life (most recently, I can point to pre-ordering the CE of ME3...).

Bioware, bad decisions about the endings. Now fix it.

I think of how in Dragon Age, it was one of the best endings to date for setting up a franchise, as well as ME 1, They tried to go different directions with DA 2 and ME 2, and got very good success with both, more so with ME 2. So it makes absolute sense that the end was meant to get people talking about what they wanted to see, because I know I certainly did. Despite all the people that didn't want a happy cookie cutter ending, just a decent one, they generally are saying they would want one if you were 100% rocking the game like a Paragon or mostly Paragon.

I speculate the pungent stench of moldy sandwiches (which I speculated about earlier) wafting through Bioware HQ has finally driven Chris insane.

My plan:

Cancel SWTOR (CHECK)
Stop all future Bioware Purchases (CHECK)
Sell Origin account to someone else for pennies, change email and info, then delete the program and never look back (WIP)

So if these statements are to be believed, future DLC will take place at a time prior to the ending of the game.

Do they really think people are going to pay for that kind of thing? Who's going to bother doing that knowing the outcome is still just as bad?

*IF* they're true.

It's worth remembering that the staff will likely be under a non-disclosure agreement and be unable to divulge any information that might spoil future DLC, but unless it amends or at least EXPANDS on the finale, this fish is dead in the water.

You know it's bad when folks who were on their side, start jumping ship.
And then deleting images. Hope someone re-ups them somewhere.

There is so much wrong with the ending, it's ridiculous.

The "buy our DLC" bit at the end was just a slap in the face, too. Still can't believe this.

Why is Karpsyhun(sorry, can't spell his name x-x;) Considered better writer? His ending was same, just more stupid.

For people, who forgot, in his versions reapers fought agaisnt dark energy and watned to turn humans into rpears since that would somehow help them. Ending choices where to agree to make humans into reapers or reject them and hopefully succeed without reapers. That still ignored all fricking choices and stuff.
