Why should they change the ending? They have a bucket-load of our cash, they have effectively fulfilled their goals. Making us happy unfortunately, is not their goal. Thats business, and it sucks! I hate these endings. The fact that there is no variation on the endings and everyone in the galaxy effectively dies at the end (according to ME Lore, destruction of the Mass Relay destroys the solar system it's orbiting) Shepard is not only responsible for mass genocide, but it invalidates the previous games in the series.
Unfortunately, I have to agree on this. They already outsold the game by a long shot with preorders and day 1 sales. They don't need to do absolutely anything but laugh at us for becoming enraged with these endings or ignore us, and after a while half of the community will either leave or not bother to buy the game (again we're probably a really really small section of their sales, even if we happen to be the most dedicated section of the fandom), so they'll wait until people chill out because I'm sure they gained some new fans not familiar with the series.
I don't know. I'm beyond words. I wanted to believe in them. I've defended them for so long but they just keep throwing knives at us. And YES THEY HURT BIOWARE.
I'm sure they'll come with something to say in a few days and tell us how happy they're with the feedback or that we're too dumb to understand the message of hope buried under layers and layers of crap. They'll be happy enough that people are still talking about the endings and miss the whole point why we are friggin' upset at them in the first place.
Wow. Bioware. Just WOW.
