And even in November the gameplay team was still experimenting with an endgame sequence where players would suddenly lose control of Shepard's movement and fall under full reaper control. (This sequence was dropped because the gaemplay mechanic proved too troublesome to implement alongside dialogue choices).

They didn't rule out that Indoctrination never happend. So, yeah- sup?

This doesn't rule out anything, the ending is so obvious Indoctrination, and it's planned to get a closure in the DLC. Are people even reading the Bioware staff tweets? It's ridicilous.

The document also mentions a probable lack of postgame DLC that would sort that out for you.

I say it again: Karpsyhns' ending was AS BAD AS CURRENT ONE. It just had only two choices(WILLINGFULLY BECOMING REAPERS and rejecting reapers) and dark matter instead of synthetics.

Because TOR and Mass Effect are the same thing right?  Oh wait they aren't.

*facepalm*

It makes sense to not pay a company for a product you don't like.

They aren't the same, but the money is still going to the same place, so why not cut them off?

Makes sense to me.

So you want to ruin bioware because of the ending of one of their games.  Makes no sense to me.  It is stupid, juvenile, whiney, melodramatic, spiteful, and entitled.  It is one thing to cancel TOR because you don't like TOR itself but to try and hurt one franchise because of what happened in 5 minutes of gameplay in another franchise is stupid.  Your mentality makes me facepalm.

Y'know I'm reminded of Chris Avellone's 'Choice' Drinking game from the 2010 pax panel.

I think I'm going to need copious alcohol to keep reading all this.

I just can't believe I actually feel... hurt. Like I've been punched in the face.

It's not artistic vision. Artistic vision implies that you care about your product. If they cared about the product, they wouldn't have half-assed it or contradicted their own themes and lore.

And it sure as hell wasn't for the fans.

It's like they don't care about the wonderful universe they've created. It's like they don't care about all the people who have come to enjoy it so much. It's like they don't even care about themselves, like they can't even be assed to maintain their own integrity and standard of quality.

Well, lookie here, Bioware: You know why I enjoyed your games so much?

Because when I played them, I honestly felt like the people behind it gave a damn.

If and when I make my own sci-fi universe, I swear to never let my passion die at the most critical moment like this. And if it does, if my heart's truly not in it, then I'll hand my work over to the people who still care. The fans. The rest of the team. Whatever.

I think I've finally found my life goal.

Guys, I'm creating the next great sci-fi IP. Who's with me?

(Feral, Dieby, and the rest of the gang: I already know you're in on it. Let's do this together!)

Hell yeah dude! I can do animations, some 3D modelling, websites hell I'd even clean your office so long as I know a different age will finally dawn over the video game industry, all this just confirms that companies overdid it, too full of themselves and forgot the purpose of making games isnt really money - its loving what you do due to the people who enjoy it.

Not "lots of speculation from everyone = sucess! Im awesome!"

Well they never said the ending was NOT an hallucination. I think they are trying to fake us out on this, if not I'm going to go to the BW head offices and take a dump on their lawn.

Sorry to break this to you mate but you've now started a death grip on those straws. This is the ending as intended. Bioware are really just that stupid. :pinched:

oh and don't think people can turn on a game. I had every Modern warfare but i've not touched MW3 as i knew it was more of the same play
Don't miss it at all and I probably won't be very pumped for any future ME4 knowing how well this trilogy 'ended'

 Drew Karpyshyn defended the ending.

The article mentions he hadn't finished the game, but I'm pretty sure he's acknowledging he's fine with what they did.

No hope there.

I say no. No to corporate BS that rendered us incomplete and Reapers victorious.
No to "awesome" endings that BW shoved down our throats.
I will hold the line. I will consider the indoctrination theory as canon because Mass Effect DESERVES a legendary ending.
It deserves a majestic twist even if there is no DLC or patch or fix.
My Mass Effect ended with Shepard waking up and firing the Crucible up the greedy **** of E---the Reapers.
And then he found Miranda and stopped running and grilled something dextro edible for Garrus.
I was a loyal fan since I saw ME1 first trailer but now BioWare...up yours, you will see no more penny coming from my wallet. Good day.
I SAID GOOD DAY!

I can actually understand some ambiguity. I can understand them taking out an extended QnA about the reapers and galactic history.

But to then take out a QnA about the INCREDIBLY VAGUE, GALAXY ALTERING CHOICES???!

''Lots of speculation'' ''Polarizing''

LOOK AT THE POLLS AND STOP TALKING OUT YOUR ASS. If it was 60:40 yes maybe that polarizing. 90:10 is not.

News FLASH!!!
I have discovered the secret if the endings!!!

Ah wait there is none, just a **** ending which destroys the known galaxy and fills it with space magic and plot holes.

Also that crew with the Normandy at the end? Probably just a bug and nothing more

Mass Effect 3 was the first game I pre-ordered . I was so happy to buy it, cuz ME 1 & 2 were AWESOME.

Now I'M SO F****ING mad!!!
I don't have much money and I have to resign for some other things ( books for studies, extra food etc ) just to buy ME 3. ME 1 & 2 were special kind of games, cuz I could play them different ways.

ME 3 is cool, but I don't think I will EVER want to play it again!

BW just gave me ANOTHER reason not to buy games.

Why should they change the ending? They have a bucket-load of our cash, they have effectively fulfilled their goals. Making us happy unfortunately, is not their goal. Thats business, and it sucks! I hate these endings. The fact that there is no variation on the endings and everyone in the galaxy effectively dies at the end (according to ME Lore, destruction of the Mass Relay destroys the solar system it's orbiting) Shepard is not only responsible for mass genocide, but it invalidates the previous games in the series.

Unfortunately, I have to agree on this. They already outsold the game by a long shot with preorders and day 1 sales. They don't need to do absolutely anything but laugh at us for becoming enraged with these endings or ignore us, and after a while half of the community will either leave or not bother to buy the game (again we're probably a really really small section of their sales, even if we happen to be the most dedicated section of the fandom), so they'll wait until people chill out because I'm sure they gained some new fans not familiar with the series.

I don't know. I'm beyond words. I wanted to believe in them. I've defended them for so long but they just keep throwing knives at us. And YES THEY HURT BIOWARE.

I'm sure they'll come with something to say in a few days and tell us how happy they're with the feedback or that we're too dumb to understand the message of hope buried under layers and layers of crap. They'll be happy enough that people are still talking about the endings and miss the whole point why we are friggin' upset at them in the first place.

Wow. Bioware. Just WOW.

Deleted Scenes Videos:
- Liara and Garrus are running behind sheppard in the run for the conduit. Garrus falls over and Liara tries to pick him up. As he gets up, the two run and are hit by a laser as sheppard watches on without hope. In the final version (which is shown beside the deleted scenes video.) the body of your team mates are on the floor dead instead.

Those are the two people I had with me at the beam. Problem being that Garrus shows up, unharmed on the normandy at the end.
