 I feel for you, guys...

However, the fact that the indoctrination-theory people ended up dancing to Mac's tune is a little bit funny .

Prothean VI on Thessia( later on Illusive Man base too) can sense indoctrination, never points out any indoctrination on Shepard.

Ok, fair points people. Again, it's just me. I've never had a problem with final bosses.

Actually I have to agree with you. I think the lack of an end boss fight was really something BW could've done to make the game better. End bosses are always about that last hurdle before getting to the ending, and this is always where the hero is tested to the limit of his ability. Given the context, I think an end boss is very appropriate. There is no end boss just for the sake of end boss.

In addition, its not like BW needs to invent a new character just for the final boss. There were two bosses from ME2, TIM and Harbinger, which neither were fought against in ME3. Harbinger got a 10 seconds air time, and TIM got a quick death. The conversation between TIM, Shepard, and Anderson was very fitting indeed, but I really expected more.

BW could've made an end boss fight like how ME has done. TIM could be transformed like the one depicted in the art book, or that we can fight Harbinger in the same way as the one on Rannoch.

There was a final boss.  Marauder Shields.  Epic fight.

Eh I don't blame him for removing images, a copyright is a copyright. Still REALLY pissed about what was on the pictures though. Here's hoping they're serious about listening to us and will release ending DLC.

Oh come on what kind of crazy person thought this was a good idea to end a saga ? Who honestly can look at these endings and say yes this is how Mass Effect should end ? You can't just promise one thing and then deliver something completely different and expect the people to keep quiet about it.

I never quite bought into those ending speculations because most of the so called inconsistencies scream more like half-assed then deliberate and now that i know i right i'm even angrier.

Like many others in this thread, I don't even know how to react to this information.

I already cancelled TOR and have swore against any Bioware games or DLC so all I know is this now means I'm adding EA Corporate to my direct letter writing campaign. If Mac and Casey thought this was a good idea, I fear the only hope left is to put the ball in EA's court to pressure Bioware over financial reasons.

I feel like I just witnessed the ending to the game again. Everyone building up hope through their own means of finding the ending to the game themselves.

All the people that believed other theories ( Hammer squad) finding hope and happiness in their endings. Now the truth comes out in this form of an app ( Harbinger) comes out of no where and crushes everyone's hopes and dreams of making it to the end. Everyone that is left is either trying to hold what is left of the series or getting the hell out of the blast radius ( Like our plot holed friends on the Normandy :( )

Well they never said the ending was NOT an hallucination. I think they are trying to fake us out on this, if not I'm going to go to the BW head offices and take a dump on their lawn.

I'll believe it when I see it and only if it's free. I don't consider it redeemable to end a "true ending" for a game that should of been apart of it in the beginning. So they add a month or two development time to fix their loose plot holes, big deal. Would of been the better decision at this point.

I can see why the lead story writers don't have novels they made themselves, poor story telling. Context makes for a good story, thati s why books telling a story are so great. To say, "We took stuff out because the conversations got too long." While ironically having a very slow-end game push.... oh my word, the man should be fired for that imcompetence.

If I had a TOR subscription I'd cancel it because of this.

I already have.

Me too.

Because TOR and Mass Effect are the same thing right?  Oh wait they aren't.

Yes let's punish one development team over something a completely different development team did.  Love to see how you come to your twisted logic.  This fanbase has gone off the deep end.  And over 5 minutes in what is otherwise a great game.  Spoiled rotten children.

He's just doing his job. Chris didn't write the game. He didn't code it or design it. He can't comment on the endings even if he were allowed to. Not in any meaningful way.

So you want to ruin bioware because of the ending of one of their games.  Makes no sense to me.  It is stupid, juvenile, whiney, melodramatic, spiteful, and entitled.  It is one thing to cancel TOR because you don't like TOR itself but to try and hurt one franchise because of what happened in 5 minutes of gameplay in another franchise is stupid.  Your mentality makes me facepalm.

Again, you really picked the wrong thread to defend them. ;)

People who don't like a company don't want to pay them in any form. I don't go to McDonalds because I don't like some of their stuff and there are other options. It doesn't matter if I like the Shamrock Shake. I just don't go there. It's as simple as that. Now I'm probably not going to quit Bioware all together over this myself, but its not childish or stupid to not want to pay a company you dislike.

...but don't get into the stuff that you don't need to know. Like "How long have they been reaping?" You don't need to know the answers to the mass effect universe. So we intentionally left those out"

We eventually decided that she gives you a memento of her pictures, but the team was throwing around a lot of pictures and designs until we decided on something and said "Yup, that's her".

*facepalm*

They have sold their souls to EA games. They no longer care about the games just pumping out more games, ignoring the storyline and raping it to make space for mass effect 156

As extreme as this sounds, Bioware really need to go down for this. Way to poop all over your creation, and fanbase. And how are we supposed to be respectful when we don't get respected?

Isn't the thing an EA product, on a Bioware/EA run forum?

Seems convinient to me..

Sorry to break this to you mate but you've now started a death grip on those straws. This is the ending as intended. Bioware are really just that stupid. :pinched:

It clearly states that their plans are for DLC before or during the game, not after.  Everything about the indoctrination theory falls apart without ending DLC... essentially, it wouldn't make sense.  See all those references to "Brave New World"?  Do you KNOW how that novel ends?
