Also, as one poster said, the first and second (but especially the first) ME games really had the feel that they were genuine labors of love. Sure, there were a few gameplay issues (like the Galaxy Map, the weird inventory, the quest system), but those issues remained in the second one. Despite those remaining issues, the characters were fantastic (except for Harbinger, who I didn't know existed until halfway through when my subtitles clued me into the dudes name), and the combat was decidedly different.
Then ME3 came along. The writing wasn't as strong as it was, and it seemed like the one bad mission in ME1 (Virmire, and before you all go apes**t on me, tell me why your extra squadmate and well-armed crew aren't helping the guy or girl at the bombsite), and turned that into a game. Sure, the shooting is better, but the thermal clips are a massive lesson in stupidity (in-game, of course, because as the Reapers ruin supply lines, it becomes blitheringly obvious that in ME1 you never relied on supply lines as you had infinite ammo. Way to screw yourselves, guys). I mean, assinging run, cover, and roll to one button makes crowded rooms a terror to maneuver, as you wind up getting shot when you want to be behind the cover you accidentally ran into and stuck to.
Then the various plotholes, and the endings, and bam. Your level of quality has slipped. It slipped very slightly in ME2, but it looks like for ME3 they just triggered an avalanche, one that they may never recover from. I really hope that Bioware fixes this, through FREE DLC or something (not everyone has XBL, which would present a problem). As it stands, they appear to have thought all of this was a good idea.
I really hope they get whats coming to them at the panel. I don't mean tons of fans spewing hate, I mean fans telling the panel that not only were the original decisions mediocre, but the stuff they replaced them with was even worse.

Because TOR and Mass Effect are the same thing right? Oh wait they aren't.

It makes sense to not pay a company for a product you don't like.
They aren't the same, but the money is still going to the same place, so why not cut them off?
Makes sense to me.
So you want to ruin bioware because of the ending of one of their games. Makes no sense to me. It is stupid, juvenile, whiney, melodramatic, spiteful, and entitled. It is one thing to cancel TOR because you don't like TOR itself but to try and hurt one franchise because of what happened in 5 minutes of gameplay in another franchise is stupid. Your mentality makes me facepalm.
Good god you're a persistent little troll. How many times are you willing to be absolutely shot down by those of us who retain cognitive function?
I HATE WHAT BIOWARE DID AND THE ONLY STATEMENT I CAN MAKE IS WITH MY DOLLAR.
I will continue to give Bioware $15 every single month.
SEEMS LEGIT.

that statement is what is wrong with consumers.
I am sorry that your game experience with SWTOR will be tanished, but it is our right as consumers. It is not childish or entitled.

If I had a TOR subscription I'd cancel it because of this.
I already have.
Me too.
I haven't even got a TOR subscription, but I'm thinking of buying it just to quit in protest. The ending is about as appealing as the Yahg homeworld's Miss Universe candidate.

Apparently we are all on a "need to know basis" and we don't need to know. Thanks Casey.
Did someone think this would make us feel better....

TO BE CLEAR:
The app in question was created by Geoff Keighley of Gametrailers. It was made from materials he collected, with support from BioWare, in the weeks before Mass Effect 3 is launched. This app is NOT BioWare's "official response about the endings of the game", or similar. We will be addressing the endings in the future as I have indicated in this thread.
You are welcome to discuss this app and it's content, but please follow the site rules when you post. We do not allow swearing, fighting or abuse of staff, moderators or our company.
