Still, the app is not the problem. The fact that everything good about the endings was scrapped is. And the fact that Bioware actually thinks that a) these endings work and they can ram them down our throats. That is the problem...the Catalyst of the matter.

People are not angry because an app was made, nor does anyone think it's the "official response". It just confirms that this ending was really intended. Which, yes, is surprising to a lot of us.

Not being from BioWare doesn change the fact that what's in there is horrible to read. I mean seriously: We don't need to know what happened to the Mass Effect universe?
I don't care who made the app but the person who said that was from Bioware and it makes me rage...

The app in question was created by Geoff Keighley of Gametrailers. It was made from materials he collected, with support from BioWare, in the weeks before Mass Effect 3 is launched. This app is NOT BioWare's "official response about the endings of the game", or similar. We will be addressing the endings in the future as I have indicated in this thread.

You are welcome to discuss this app and it's content, but please foolow the site rules when you post. We do not allow swearing, fighting or abuse of staff, moderators or our company.

Mr. Priestly. I understand that this isn't your fault and that you're burdened with handling many upset fans but I must point out that we're not upset over who made the app, or how it was made.
We know it's not an "official response."

But what this app tells us is that BioWare planned these endings all along, that they always meant to break their promises, that they thought it was a good idea to take away all of our choice in the ending and leave us with some nonsensical mess.

It takes away our hope, and shows that any official response will be along the lines of "It's what we intended, deal with it.". That is why we're upset.

If people didn't want the game ruined, they shouldn't be on the spoiler forums in the first place good sir. I think now is a good time to begin talking about it before more rage and un-needed verbal abuse happens to the Bioware team. i love you guys but keeping quiet only fuels the fire.

I get the feeling that by the time Bioware figures out the way to address the endings, the damage will already be permanent. Especially if that writer's draft in the app is accurate. Anyone who thought that process or the ending it created would please ANYONE is probably unable to respond to enraged fans in a way that will sate them.

to be clear: the app was never the problem. what BW did and said (even more said!) fueled the flames of discontent. saying "you don't need to know the answers" to the guys that bought your STORY DRIVEN product is just a slap in the face.

Well, still the content is unbelievable. I will wait for the official response though, everybody deserves a second chance. They might have been wrong with this ending, but the rest of the game was perfect, so if you fix it...its at least ok, but still... this is unbelievable...

Surely you have to acknowledge that not only are the contents of the app disheartening, but the timing of the release of such an app for cash (I recognize it is not a Bioware Product) just threw fuel on the fire.
